Though, if you're asking specifically about ISIS and politics, I may have to bow out. I've stopped paying attention to things that bring me down, so my knowledge isn't top notch.

Eh. I'm at the point of ignoring it. Sadly, dealing with the ignorance of those who don't wish to take the time to honestly find out what Muslims are and Islam is about is part of being a Muslim these days I suppose. I kind of feel sorry for people who are so closed minded to see just how harmless the Muslim community is. Every group has it's idiots/wackos.

The saddest part I find, as someone in the thick of it all, is people trying to tell me what I believe and what I am...When I don't believe what they're telling me I do, and I'm not what they say I am. It's tough, try being that guy who's told those things and when you say 'No, I'm an everyday Australian who works, pays his taxes, and is just trying to feed, clothe and educate my children' your called a liar.

Thank you for your open mind though. It's no big deal that one hasn't read the Qur'an, to connect on a human level with people that's not a prerequisite, you just need to not be an asshole (Disclaimer, I'm 100% not calling you an asshole here! I'm just saying people who can't connect with others regardless of race/faith/etc generally are)
