There is a tendency for gardeners to go for seasonal flowers. By the very term, seasonal flowers are seasonal and unless one is alert one might miss the season and have no flowers growing in that season.

Having perennials in a garden ensures round the clock colour. Perennials do have their seasons but including perennials that will take turns is the best answer.

Bougainvillea for example will starting blooming immediately after rains have subsided, while alamanda will bloom during the monsoon season.
Then we have crotons - the most neglected lot. Their leaves will add colour throughout the year. When nothing else blooms croton will provide that so needed colour in a garden.

There is no dearth when it comes to perennials that ensure the desired colour in any garden. DSC04277.JPG
