Individuals Fish Ponds Is The Only Answer

If individuals could start fish culture in small ponds may be we could get good fish uncontaminated. As they say, drops make an ocean.

 

In the 1970s, there was the so called green revolution where the government encouraged the people to plant whatever can be planted in their homes particularly food plants and vegetables. Fish pond was also encouraged. One of our neighbors built a small swimming pool of maybe 8 feet by 8 feet and 4 feet deep. And it turned out to be a fish pond for tilapia. It was pretty good until there was the torrential rains that made the water in the fish pond overflow.... which caused the fish to escape. But I think having a small fish pond is a good idea for food purposes. By the way, tilapia can be fed leftover bread which they like very much.

 

This seems the only alternative left. Fish is getting extinct by over fishing and this will save the situation. With so many individual ponds there is the prospect of an increase in fish cultivation the world over bringing down the price of fish to a great extent. Today many do not eat fish because it is prohibitively expensive.
