Pressure Canning

    Does anyone else here use a pressure canner for storing foods? This is now my favorite way to store foods even if I know we will go through them quickly in everyday life because it means I have more room in my freezer. In the past few days we have canned 15 lbs of pork, 10 lbs of chicken, and 15 lbs of ground beef. Preparing meat this way in particular makes for really easy dinners!

    Ive been canning. Since i was a kid we put alot of great food up this way strawberries atm as jam

    We have never done any canning. We use a Vacola. This year though I did more drying, it is easier & less time consuming.

    I make my own sauces and stuff, but that's about it for now. I'd love to freeze dry s bunch of stuff, but that's still a bit far off considering my situation at the moment. Fun times are more important than overwhelming myself :)

    i have a pressure cooker.and i love it..i've canned chili,chicken,pork roast,beans n ham,beans n spam,and beans n franks.and I'll be canning some more beans n ham today.oh i've also can 2 or 3 pints of turnips.haven't tried them yet,since i've canned them.
