Ever so sorry, Keith H. Wish I had dynamite answers that might be of help. I don't. I just don't.

Australia is a huge, valuable piece of real estate. The nations surrounding Australia are overpopulated and Australia is underpopulated with enough potential soldiers to protect itself. China will inevitably overwhelm Indonesia and thus begin looking at Australia as fresh meat. There are 10 to 12 million Chinese living in Indonesia (Chinese are now running the Panama Canal in Central America). The Chinese CAN overwhelm with their workers. Plus, consider that Australia does not have nuclear weapons. Man, these numbers are not pretty.

I'm sounding like Mr. Gloom&doom. On the positive side, China is very poor in the realm of moving troops via ocean-going vessels. Another positive is that Vietnam pushed back a land invasion by China in 1979. It could be a long time before China poses a threat to Australia. Indonesia might attempt to push Australia around politically, but an invasion, hmmm, not for a long time either. China and Western countries could have a nuclear exchange in the not-too-distant future and that would weaken China greatly.

Another positive in the realm of weakening communism/socialism will be the collapse of Western currencies. The euro is certain to tank. The U.S. dollar and other currencies will not be far behind. All Western cities are going to burn. I believe that your cities in Australia will fair far better, however the socialist hold on government will be broken due to their being no money to pay for their rape of individualism.

Good luck, Keith H, I mean this from the bottom of my heart. I come from nowheres'ville and watch as the cancer of socialism devours my own country. God's boot is coming to crush atheistic secular humanism, however. We'll just have to wait, watch, and prepare.

 

I'm replying to myself to tell me to better state the Panama situation. Oil tankers can't fit through the Panama Canal, of course. What happens is that oil is piped out of tankers in the Pacific, pumped across Panama, pumped into tankers in the gulf, shipped up to the oil pipelines off the coast of Texas and Louisiana. Inland, the oil is refined.

Who now owns Panama's largest port? Who owns Australia's Port of Darwin? Answer, Landbridge Group, a Chinese company that happens to have its own militia. Simply never know when you're going to need kill some folk, now do you!

Sorry things are looking so bleak. Here in the U.S. I just got the first e-mail from the first "conservative" correspondent banging on the war drum--"we must defend the U.K. from any further terrorist attacks," perpetual war for perpetual peace revisited. It's not the first time we've been "on the brink of World War Three" but I get awfully tired of being on that brink.

 

The Hunger Games plot is inhumane. It could not and would not happen here on earth. That is some brutal ish. How in the heck can they pit kids against each other. I mean if you wanna string adults along for the sick ride then whatever but you shouldn't be allowed to be selected until like 21 or something. Sheesh, these kids were slaughtered like pigs. First of all it's not fair to allow kids and adults to compete in the same games. If they wanted to do a kids Hunger Games and the next year do an adult one that would even be more fair. Of course adults will have the edge over children who don't have many skills or experience. That's the messed up part to me. In a SHTF situation, it will be everyone for themselves so I guess it would sort of be Hunger Games-ish. IDK.

 

It's possible...ancient Greece and Rome had "games" that involved fighting, sometimes to the death. And neither their "athletes" nor their full-time soldiers (nor, for that matter, wives and mothers) were necessarily full-grown--sometimes the minimum age was only 12 or 13.

Historically, over time the Roman gladiator "games" escalated the sadism factor, from wrestling to fighting with weapons or humans against animals. That was the rationale for the plot including really young teenagers and having older teens resolve to protect the little ones as long as possible.

Is the controversy about whether high school students should be required or forbidden to read The Hunger Games a distraction from more probable threats to their own immediate survival? Who knows? If meant to be a distraction, I don't see it being much of one.

 

I've read (and am reselling) some hopeful books from the 1990s where the government was trying to promote unity, acknowledge that many Australians are multiracial...one author even looked to Aboriginal philosophy as a source for a more sustainable future culture, the way some North Americans are doing. I hope this trend isn't reversing!

We don't get a lot of news from Australia in the mainstream news. Steve Milloy used to have an assistant who reblogged news items, then changed to one who doesn't. Reuters...meh...if we remember to log in and search, which I usually don't.

It would be an exaggeration on my part to say that on the basis of the political society in which we live today we are already living our own "hunger games"? To me, this is more and more transparent than crystal clear water. The world is - unfortunately - no longer a fair place for everyone for many, many years.

I have to say that I still hold my hope for a better and fairer world for all of us, but the chances are very remote.

 

Ha. Ha. Many's the day when I've not had lunch, or breakfast, dinner, or snacks either, because we live in a society that no longer requires people to pay for work done. And many's the time I've been told I'm "crazy" or "stupid" because I do keep my word, show up when I say I'll be somewhere, pay what I tell people I'll pay, etc.

As the garbage trucks would come in, the trucks' engine blocks / water jackets would get busted by bullets. Killing truck engines was a mercy, because my people will simply kill you if you push too hard. I went to school with a fellow who killed the truck of a fellow with whom he was having a feud. He did this with a hot load out a .44 mag handgun. Shot the engine dead as the fellow was driving that truck.

 

I've never seen the movie, The Hunger Games. Read / heard this and that about it.

Maybe near urban areas, some elitists might get by with some strange oppressive activities. This because city-dwellers are mainly sheeple. There's armed / competent true citizens among them, but not nearly enough.

In the American South, elitists would likely be those killed first. Where I live, there are more firearms than people. And the good'ol'boys ARE the police and Army reserves -- hmmmm ... just who y'gonna get to arrest those who do the arresting???

Whenever you get government involved in the "Fair " business...it is going to mean that someone pays for someone else. The problem with leadership on this kind of "Whoredom/Fair" is that someone has to work twice...once to pay for themselves and again to pay for someone else. Someone gets it for free..and someone else pays for it.
Either by Taxes or by inflation...money creation to pay for others to get it for free.

This is also a definition of involuntary servitude...or bondage.

This is also why leadership never wants people to go or think this far...or make this clear...none of the political parties....nor the media involved in the "Herding " of people to prevent thinking..prevent individual thinking..only group think allowed.

Ministers should also be teaching this to people....how to think their way through this kind of scam.

Fair...once government gets into it...becomes a "Shakedown" of a people and a nation...always....socially and politically.


Whenever I hear the word "Fair" my alarm bells go off and I know to watch more carefully the radar scope. Someone is going to try to slip one in past us.


I've seen and suffered through "The Hunger Games." Not impressed. I've read to much history ....and also I am not impressed with Hollywood.

I just don't believe Hollywood needs to tell me what to do with my time and or monies or how to vote.

Freedom is a lot easier to KEEP than to get or even worse try to get BACK. The liberals in the mindless in the US are going to eventually try to give our freedom up here. I think that the end result will be another civil war for the same reason as the last one. Governments all through out history have used cake and circuses to keep the masses happy. Over and over the entertainment industry has stepped over that lime. We usually have pulled them back but if you will look at the movies these days you will see an ever growing violence and bloody stuff. A lot of these reality shows encourage people to take their lives in their hands for their 15 minutes of fame. Boxing and the cage fights are based on two people trying to come as close as possible to killing each other without quite doing it right there in the ring or cage. Nobody wants to think about what these people are like a few years later.

There is a growing industry in snuff films where people are video taped being killed. Kids video people drowning while they laugh and do nothing or they kidnap and beat a retard and put it on face book as "entertainment". Honestly the hunger games is pretty tame compared to what a lot of people are already doing. Human pit fights are alive and doing real well. They disguise it as "Fight Clubs" but the ones that are run by the criminal elements are just gladiator fights. A lot of the gangs require a kill before they make you a full member.

It is just a matter of time before the government gets into it. They already consider war as an entertainment industry.

 

I've got my doubts on a civil war but couldn't say it absolutely couldn't happen . it's not like the American civil war in the 1800's now . With the governments air power whomever the government backed would win . You simply can't win a war against that kind of resources with just rifles . Sadly what I do see is the United States going down the same path as South Africa under the illusion that the White race must have done something wrong so their property should be taken away and given to someone else . This is a pit we are sliding into rapidly . For now fight it at the polls , vote.

One question...Who exactly do you THINK is in the military? How many socialist liberals do you really think enlist in an all volunteer military. What states do you think most of the volunteers come from? The next civil war won't be North against South. Texas is already a Nuclear power. We are one of the poorest states but would be in the top ten richest nations in the world. Most of Illinois is dirt poor but if they broke off from Chicago and reopened the coal mines they would be a force again. The part of California that is NOT on the coast is a totally different world from the liberal run ant piles on the coast. There is already a split in this country.

Blue is liberal democrat counties and red is conservative republican counties in the last election. The split is NOT north and south or east and west.

I have been told that now colleges require students to take " Social Justice classes " alias "Hate democracy and particularly hate Whitey classes " . My daughter had that added to what she had to have to complete her degree in Psychology a few years ago. It really was a disgusting class that basically was about how important black people are and how all the problems of the world are the result of the evil white people.

Liberals seem to feel that only in an environment of hate and strife can they take control. They do all they can to create an atmosphere of hate and mistrust between people of all races, religions, nationalities or regional differences.

 

I deal with universities. They are indoctrination centers. All social "sciences" are out-and-out political camps for the extreme left. "The last bastion of communism" are universities. Even in the engineering departments this is true. All campuses are awash with students from Communist China -- here they are trained to master the engineering necessary for building military equipment. With degrees in Chemistry and Biology, they can return to Communist China to build genetically engineered biological weapons and chemical agents of mass-destruction. The university elite are open enemies of America. They are openly at war against Western nations and Christianity.

 

I've been told in the U.S. , the food stamp give away will run out of funds and cease to feed those that have learned to be dependent on the free food giveaway . This is due to happen around the 20th of February . This is being brought on by the DEMOCRAT shut down . I said on here several weeks ago , I expect the federal shutdown to last for months . It will be interesting to watch the looting that will began .

 

We as a people are STUPID. Do you realize that the Democrats are willing to let our country go down the tubes because they care more about illegal criminal aliens than they do American citizens? Our government is no longer responsive to the will of the people and they are not operating in good faith for the good of the American people.

We need to do like the Catholic Church does to pick a new pope. Lock the congressmen and Senators up in chambers until they make a decision. If they take too long you put them on bread and water and if that goes on you delete the bread. They are doing exactly that to the hard working Americans that do the actual work for America. If the funding for food for the poor drops the President will declare a national emergency and it will get handled. In reality the only people that are going to ever go hungry are the children of druggies and they are already there. The food stamp program is used as currency for druggies to buy their drugs. There are lots of convenience store owners that will basically split the value of food stamps with them. They also buy groceries for people for cash.

I live in a tiny town near a small town. We have several places that serve two meals a day to anyone that is hungry. It's good food too. I worked at one of them and would some time eat with them. We throw away more food than we eat every day. There is no shortage of food food stamps or not. There will be a lot of screaming but those doing it are mostly people that probably shouldn't be getting them anyway. They should get a job. I will help those that help themselves but if all they do is sit there then that is what I will do.

 

The only way to change this situation would be to get the aussie public to as a majority not vote and each state and territories or as a nation get class action in court to fight fines against being forced to vote for parties they don't believe in. This will make government seriously consider future.

 

The scary thing is, how many people actually enjoy those movies. And I believe, that if the situation would come so far, people will enjoy and support even the real thing. It will be like a nice distraction from the distraction (TV, mobile phones, all the stuff that makes us not to see the reality of life).

About the education/indoctrination, I could write pages and pages. It coming silently, slowly, like when you are cutting salami. Today, we have almost 30% of children in our schools, that have some form of diagnosed "disorder". Which in reality means, that their tasks and standards are significantly lowered, so they are not receiving bad marks for their "disorders". Those kids are also allowed to speak and walk around the class (ADHD), fart and run to the toilet every 5 minutes (meteorism) etc. Thanks to obligatory inclusion, almost in every class there is one or two kids with some real handicap, usually having one or two assistants who help them even with the basic tasks.

Before, we had "special" schools for kids, who were unable to perform in normal classes. In those schools, there were specially trained staff, who knew lots of psychology etc., who really know how to work with these kids and get the best out of them. Now, can you imagine how all this is influencing the quality of our education?

And above this all, there is a secret service advising ministry of education, how to teach the correct history. Welcome to Absurdistan. Maybe we should consider starting a special forum dedicated to Children and share advice on how to raise them not to become dumb, how to teach them critical thinking and assessing information. I think our children are one of the last chances of how to save the world as we know it. This is one of the reasons why I am here and why I am so happy that people with a mindset similar to mine still exist. And we all know that it is often difficult to find those people around.

The question I always ask is why do these people/politicians who continually take away our rights continue to get elected? It is astonishing to me how stupid people are. In our backyard how can idiots like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez get elected? They preach socialism. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to look at Venezuela and see how well Socialism has worked.

We are all guilty of allowing these corrupt politicians get elected. As long as they get elected, and they are in power they will continue to steal your resources through taxation, and your freedoms and liberties through legislation.

Marvell Weaver, 17, of Lansing, Michigan, recently lost the so-called “Point ’em out, knock ’em out” game when he was shot twice by his intended victim and arrested, reports WILX.

On Feb. 26th, Weaver was in a van with two friends looking for random victims, when he spotted a man waiting at a bus stop. He hopped out of the van and quickly attacked the man with a faulty Taser.

“I saw the van circle twice, and the second time three kids came out,” said the unidentified victim. “I didn’t suspect anything. I hadn’t any enemies, or any reason to believe they would be looking to do anything to me.”

The man, who was waiting on six-year-old daughter, was legally registered to carry a firearm and he pulled his .40 caliber pistol and shot Weaver twice — once in the leg and once near his spine.

Weaver is now serving one year in jail, but says that he should be serving more.

“It was just a lesson learned,” Weaver said. “I wish I hadn’t played the game at all.”

Weaver said that he was just with a bad group of friends, and that they were usually high and bored when they decided to play. He also said that he and his friends attacked at least six or seven people.

“It wouldn’t be an every day game, just a certain game to be played on certain days,” he said. “You don’t even try to rob them or anything. That’s the game.”

Lansing police officer Robert Merrick says that Weaver’s story is important because teens need to know that there are consequences to their violent actions.

“There’s a price to pay if they wind up doing it. A good example is Marvell Weaver,” said Merrick.

Weaver’s intended victim said he didn’t know if it was a knife or a gun that Weaver stuck into side, but he didn’t plan on dying that day.

I was looking up topics and found this thread about The Hunger Games. I thought, well y'know before things collapse totally, you have a period when society has gotten into an initial collapse mode wherein some weak-minded people deny that the foundation of civilization has been cracked beyond repair.

Too, this preppers site has an easily triggered troll. I'd say we will get more trolls as people come to despise us preppers who remind them of how mega-fragile the world is becoming.

Even OLD threads have value in that many of their topics are eternal. Mother Nature hasn't changed any of Her rules. Human nature is exactly the same as it was ten thousand years ago. Humanity HAS dumbed-down quite a bit, plus has gotten physically weaker due to trash genetics not being Darwinized out of the gene pool.

The knockout game demonstrates that the behavior of violent uncivilized "people" have not been kept in check. Things like this freely walk our streets. I am overjoyed when I read about the violent getting shot dead.

Let's face it man, if some uncivilized violent people were to invade rural counties in the American South, they'd all end up being possum food.

I've told the story too many times, but New Jersey organized crime began dumping trash -- to include toxic waste and medical waste -- into a landfill in my county. The men of that holler told them to quit. The criminals kept on doing what they were doing, so the locals began shooting into the Yankee dump trucks with their deer rifles. The Yankees decided to leave. EVERYBODY here is willing to open fire if challenged! We do not need strong people to protect us. EVERYBODY is willing to fight, willing to kill interlopers.

Back in the late 1940s / 1950s era in extreme Southwest Virginia, a local sheriff went off the rails in the realm of being downright mean. What capped the stack was the sheriff killing a black man running from the law. The sheriff went into overkill mode and basically murdered the fellow. Well, within a year some white fellow just shot that sheriff dead. Nobody even got charged in the sheriff's having gone ambient temperature. Nobody said a thing about who might have been the shooter. Mean sheriff = dead sheriff. Make the people mad and one way or another, you're gone.

In our world, men are actual men. Our women will shoot interlopers also. Note how sissy urban gangs are in that they engage in the gutless practice of drive-by shootings and attacking the elderly.

Down here, we are disciplined. We don't back down. We take aim when it comes to that. The innocents live and the bad guys go bye-byes.

One shot, one kill. Efficiency rules the day.

I deeply respect our folk for being the way they are. Without trouble-makers, there exists a wondrous peaceful environment down here. People are quick to come to the aid of those who have been visited by horrible misfortune -- the locals gather and help out in disasters of every ilk. Before the drug wars, murder rates here were the same as in Japan (less than 2 per 100,000 per year).

Unfortunately, where I live there aren't many people stupid enough to do crap like that. Too many of us habitually carry a handgun and are perfectly willing to use one in self-defense or to protect someone that is obviously being attacked and out matched. Most people calm down when a gun comes out and will back off.

If you show a gun and they draw and shoot you it didn't do you much good. When they draw, the decision is already made to shoot you while you have to make a decision before you can act. I personally would never pull a gun unless I was going to fire it immediately. Most people vastly overestimate their ability to respond and react. The FACT is that most ALL people can act a whole lot faster than they can react unless they are trained and the decision to fire has already been made. If you are just showing a gun as a threat, you are very likely to come in second in that gun fight.

It doesn't matter WHEN a thread was started if you decide that you have something to say or more to say then bring it back. That is the way a lot of conversations go.

 

When one has killed so many of God's beautiful creatures as a child it makes it so much easier as an adult to drop the hammer on a demon.

The last something like a criminal we had around here was a B&E Thief. A 19 year old POS junkie. He got broken by a 75 year old gentlemen that heard him breaking in one night and waited for him from behind a door. His gun was in the bedroom and he was in the kitchen, so he grabbed an iron skillet. He cracked the boys skull and put him in the hospital for months with one good swing. He (thief) got 10 years for B&E after he got out of the hospital. The old man got plenty of hand shakes and jokes about iron skillets.

There were those who worked for the railroads and the foundries (none as hired cops). One great uncle was thrown under a train by the railroad bulls (private police hired by the railroads).

In the realm of coal mining, the politicians who were in the pockets of the mining companies banned coal miners the use of repeating rifles. So, the unions shipped into Appalachia lever rifles to that the coal miners could fight back against the corrupt politicians and their ilk. Sometimes killing is a very positive thing.

Where I come from, we don't have coal mines, so we are mostly oil field trash. Same thing, honest hard-working folks that don't take much crap from anyone. My wife’s dad was a tool-pusher and my dad was a seismograph surveyor and a driller. I avoided working on the rigs but I spent years building them both offshore and land rigs. There are not many men here that are my age that have not worked in one part or another of the oil industry.

 

I know Matewan well. I've walked it's streets and it's railroad tracks. My wife's people worked the railroad. My Great, great grandfather and grandmother on my paternal side were Cherokee. He changed his name and blended in to escape the round up for the trail of tears. Appalachia is like no where else I have ever been and I have been around. In many ways it is about 40 years behind the rest of the country.

I have a personal love affair with lever action rifles. I learned to shoot with my Dads Winchester Model 94 30-30. It was an awesome little rifle. My Dad amazed me as a kid. He would call his shots with that rifle at any range. He told me one day he was going to cut that groundhogs throat at just over 200 yards. That was a nickel size target at 200 yards. He whistled to get it to stand up and when I walked down to get it, it's throat was cut. Not a neck shot (through the spine) but it's throat was cut and it bleed out almost instantly.
