Speaking of politcal turmoil and food, lately Venezuela has been going through some tough times and there's a shortage of food. There's people there who smuggle food inside the country (imagine that...) and they are even being arrested for it. I hope the police force doesn't destroy the food as they usually do with smuggled items.
Anyway the best way to make money in Venezuella right now, isn't by selling drugs but by selling food.

 

For me, a Power grid failure has greater probability to happen compare to the other threats, although currently modern power grid system are sturdy enough to not be easily taken down by natural disasters ( transmission towers are designed to withstand extremely violent winds) and short circuit faults. Economic collapse is very unlikely to happen in any country with fundamental freedom of trade, but is something that always happens to countries that have all its economic activities strongly regulated by government, such as happened in the old soviet Rusia, Cuba and recently in Venezuela. Food shortages are mostly related to economic collapse.

Well that is probably the most truthful thing I've seen all day. This is so dangerously true. You just have to be prepared for anything. Everyone's worried about zombies. I had this horrible nightmare recently where we were faced with an epidemic of human rabies, but you were not able to tell who was going to try to eat you or or not because everyone looked normal. You had to watch yourself from all angles no matter where you went because little Granny Gerty might just turn around in the produce section of the grocery store and eat your face. IF a zombie apocalypse does occur, I feel that this is how it's going to go down. The government probably knows that already though

"STUPID" Stupid in all its many forms pops up everywhere and anywhere and just buggers things up!
Some one cracks a gas bottle while smoking!
Some one pours petrol on a dieing fire!
there are thousands of things that can be triggered by "STUPID"
Sometimes it kills the stupid sometimes a random!

 

Devolution... The degeneration of the individual and the species as we have made the "survival of the fittest" work in the reverse of its intent. Now the intelligent, ambitious and Hardworking Family people have much smaller families than the stupid, Lazy and criminal parts of out society.

How many generations can do this before there just aren't enough people left working to support the slackers and thieves? When I was young in the US there was a massive effort being made to bring our the best possible new group of engineers and scientists to carry us on into the future. The educational system was testing kids and grabbing the brightest at a very young age and offering them the best possible education starting at a very young age. We went to the moon and the stars were looking pretty good.

Then the liberals took over...LBJ shut down the space program and the primary aim of our educational system became to make everyone the same. that meant that the best had to be lowered because there is no way to raise the bottom of the pile up. Eventually the high school diploma became little more than an attendance reward. You had high school graduates that couldn't even read or count change! Now days in Texas since the feds won't let the stupid be held back and educated they require all graduates to pass a 9th grade equivalency test.

Now the liberals want to bring in more and more immigrants but don't want them to actually become integrated into our culture. They don't need to speak our language. We will provide translators to help them fill out their applications for welfare. If you can't even talk to the majority of the people in your new home what kind of jobs are you going to get?

Political correctness and being accepting of other cultures ways has replaced manners and common sense. In more and more places I am seeing this making it so that bad and worse than bad decisions are acceptable and accepted as the normal. All over the world you see governments making endless concessions to refugee immigrants that are destructive to the country. In the US the liberals want to throw open the borders to as many terrorists as possible and even more to people that have no skills and will crush our economy as we try to feed and house them while they breed like rats.

At what point will the only viable populations left be the ones in the communist dictatorships that refuse to let the destructive elements enter and take over their countries??? In the end will this insanity mean that we will use the nukes rather than accept the reality that not all people are the best to run things just because they breed fast without concern for the lives of their children.

(8 March 2018, New Jersey) A Wanaquer man died in a vehicle fire after he drove around barricade cones and onto live power wires in Franklin Lakes. A good son, Anthony G. was en-route to his father's house to shovel the driveway.

After the second nor'easter storm in a week, hundreds of thousands were left without power. Utility crews worked overtime to deal with downed trees and electric lines. Traffic snarls and frustrated motorists were everywhere.

Anthony did not want to lose time to a detour! According to police, our winner simply navigated around bright orange traffic cones warning motorists of a hazardous downed wire on Route 208.

Responding to calls, officers arrived at 9AM to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames. A live power line was sputtering in the roadway near the vehicle. The fire totally gutted the car, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Ironically this Darwin Award winner was employed as a New York City electrician.

3 February 1990, Washington

The following mind-boggling attempt at a crime spree appeared to be the robber's first, due to his lack of a previous record of violence, and his terminally stupid choices:

1. His target was H&J Leather & Firearms. A gun shop.

2. The shop was full of customers - firearms customers.

3. To enter the shop, the robber had to step around a marked police patrol car parked at the front door.

4. A uniformed officer was standing at the counter, having coffee before work.

Upon seeing the officer, the would-be robber announced a holdup and fired a few wild shots. The officer and a clerk promptly returned fire, covered by several customers who also drew their guns, thereby removing the confused criminal from the gene pool.

No one else was hurt.
