I was watching a tv documentary the other night about boys getting bat manure in caves. They would enter the dark caves using flashlights and collect the manure on the floor of the cave. It is a risky job because there is a possibility that the small opening of the cave from above can be covered by a rock when there is a landslide.

So how do you survive when you are trapped inside a cave? First is to be still, according to the narrator of the documentary. The first problem is the air you breath. It will be exhausted so you should calculate your moves. Since you came from the outside, you have a good idea of the structure of the cave. If there is a chance to get out from the same entrance, then it is worth a try. But if none then you should move in another direction to find another exit.
