You are reminding me of my nightmare dream scenario...wherein I am stuck on that famous desert Island with some 400 people who only know how to text message....nothing else!!! Wow...what a nightmare....

All of them waiting for me to set up the buffet line for them and then clean up for them afterwords..


I reckon in that regard I have very few close friends....but among folk who know how to get certain things done..at least skilled in certain arenas.

I was so dumb at one time...I thought all people knew how to do more than text and or work a remote controller.
I reckon I never was the social butterfly type....

Growing up...I found that running with the crowd was often a way to get in trouble....hence I tended to avoid crowds and or popularity type settings....not interested..I am driving my own bus..


I am somewhat like Lonewolf in that regard...a loner....lone wolf... A Sigma male...keeps things simple...that way.

Every one else can get lost.....go away....leave me and mine alone..

Oh....and I am not big on free will.....in particular the way today's Secular Humanists intend it to herd people into their controls...

And make no mistake...this is a religion ......a devout and zealous religoin....free will....among leadership today....It is not discipline.....

Due to the recent Palestinian Hamas slaughter of Jewish civilians in their communities in the south of Israel, many Amerikan communists have come out of the closet. However, looking back to 2020, we see them in the streets telling white residents to leave, to abandon their homes, due to their "oppression of minorities".

This isn't just going to go away. When major SHTF events begin cascading, these protesters and the criminal elements for whom they show support will be pushing middle class Americans out of their homes even as Hamas attacked civilians.

The Leftists wish to ban American civilians of the firearms they very well may need to have to defend themselves against violent communists and murderous felons.

Preppers need to watch many of the current videos of Hamas attacking Israeli civilians when planning their own choice of weapons and ammunition. In Israel, citizens who were unarmed, who were unable to defend themselves and their children, were shot, raped, and burned to death. The children were also murdered -- often Hamas murdered the children in front of their parents, then slaughtered the parents. Interestingly enough, the Hamas terrorists filmed themselves shooting children and were proud of it.

Let's just cut to the chase here, mothers are going to protect their children.

They're not going to let their babies get hung in front door sills, nor let their little ones be burned to death as has now just happened in Israel.

Handguns, OK I understand -- portability and all that. I just hope that they will also consider buying long-arms for the serious work. For shotguns, think folding stocks for close quarters defense. If you have a truly robust safe room, it will stop handgun rounds, but maybe not rifle rounds. From a safe room, you may have to deliver return fire. For this, you will need penetrating round to neutralize your attackers. This was the case in Israeli kibbutzim. I wish those civilians had had AKs or 7.62 NATO semi-automatics so that they could have engaged the Palestinian attackers.

Safe rooms have to be bullet proof. Difficult to be RPG-proof, that's true ... however, if you can kill the person holding the RPG, then that's something. Many Israelis fled to "safe rooms" that had massively inadequate doors and even if the doors were sufficient, their locking mechanisms were not sufficient. A safe room needs a quick-access gun safe complete with rifles & serious amounts of ammunition, an air supply via piping from another location, CO2 and smoke removal piping to another location, robust battery backup, communications in the form of radio frequency / Ham radio, food, water, human waste containers that seal, medical supplies, plus other items (flack jackets or "bullet proof" vests, helmets, sandbags or masonry blocks, hearing protection especially for the kids, shooting goggles, ... all matter of debris is going to be flying all over the place when you are attacked and WILL get in your eyes if they're not protected). "Loud" doesn't describe the situation. Think loud to the tune of giving you vertigo. Your inner ears also contain your balance mechanisms. I get bouts of vertigo, not just perpetual tinnitus (tonight, the ringing isn't loud at all, really doing great, semi-quiet, good stuff!, wonder why?, hmmm?).

Three explosions rocked the Swedish capital of Stockholm over just a four-day period as the country is coming off a record year for gang-related bombings.

Since the police began keeping such statistics in 2018, there have been at least 650 recorded bombings in Sweden.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson whose centre-right government came to power in late 2022 on an anti-mass migration platform has blamed the country’s gang epidemic on the open borders agenda of previous left-wing governments.

Two adult black males were charged with murder Tuesday over the mass shooting that left one dead and 22 others injured, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker said. Eleven of the victims were children and were sent to nearby Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Lyndell Mays, 23, of Raytown, and Dominic M. Miller, 18, of Kansas City, both face charges of second-degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. Although both face murder charges, Baker said Miller’s firearm was the one that fatally wounded Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a 43-year-old mother of two.

Mays allegedly first drew his handgun after getting into a verbal altercation with another person. Miller and others immediately pulled their firearms, leading to the shootout, Baker said.

A stolen Glock 9mm handgun was found on the ground near Mays, according to the charging documents.

Two teenagers, whose identities are being protected, also face gun-related and resisting arrest charges and are in secure detention at the Juvenile Detention Center, according to Baker. Another adult was initially detained but let was let go after police determined he was not involved. The prosecutor said additional arrests are still possible.

Mays’ mother, Teneal Burnside, created a GoFundMe featuring a photo of the suspect who allegedly started the shootout lying in a hospital bed, allegedly recovering from nine bullet wounds.

Mays admitted to police that he pulled his gun first and began shooting even though he was in a condensed area filled with families and children, according to court documents.

"More than a dozen people reportedly were injured Friday after a commercial motor vehicle crashed into a Department of Public Safety office in Brenham, Texas.

Suffice it to say that homey knows Tennessee. The overwhelmingly great portion of TN is as civilized as Mayberry of "Marshal Andy" fame.

This is most assuredly NOT true of Tennessee's urban areas. Parts of these cities are civilized, but go over two or three blocks and you are in violent crime central (have had that happen to me personally). And, been there visiting relatives and heard the gunfire. I have absolutely no idea of why a person would voluntarily live in Memphis, Tennessee.

In a recent post of mine -- I think within the last week -- I posted articles detailing events wherein teachers were attacked by students. Serious stuff, they require casts for broken bones and surgeries to repair ruptured spleens, cranial hematomas, ... .

In the Mogadishu areas of cities, I can understand why teachers want go armed. (Me, I wouldn't take the job in the first place.) In these neighborhoods, emergency medical personnel and fire department personnel come under fire when attempting to do their jobs. One should not receive incoming fire when putting out blazes and saving lives, but such is the lack of civilized behavior in certain neighborhoods. Some of these EMT & Fire Dept. services have to have police escorts. The police don't have the resources to protect all of the teachers.

When living in Tennessee, I had a carry permit. I only needed it when one of my sons was making his workplace night deposits at the bank or when visiting Nashville or Memphis (my wife had family there).
