Trump administration planned to construct a wall along US-Mexican border in other to reduce illegal movement along the border. The move has been criticized as well as received remarks by people in both United States and in Mexico. What are you view about the wall and do you think the wall has other purposes aside the started once or do you think the wall be not be built.

Building a wall along our southern border was one of the promises that was instrumental in getting President Trump elected. This shows that a substantial percentage of the American populace is sick and tired of less than desirable individuals crossing into our country so easily. I think the wall will help if it is built correctly and operated with deterrence in mind. Israel has seen a significant decrease in suicide bombings since it built its wall, so we have a good example to follow.

U.S. citizens living near the boarder are sick and tired of illegals sneaking across the boarder.
It's been said ranchers have shot and killed illegals and left them to rot.
Perhaps so. Think about it. Who is going to report an illegal missing?
    To whom?
Ranchers were weary of illegals stealing from them.
Illegal means NOT LEGAL thus committing a criminal act by crossing the boarder illegally.
Immigrants are welcome in the U.S. as long as they come legally.
Virtually every person not a Native American is an immigrant including my ancestors but they
    came here legally.
Afro-Americans were brought here by and large against their will but that's another part of American
    history and an ugly part.
I doubt the proposed wall is a literal wall as in brick and mortar but probably more like
    a very long fence.
There are huge problems with a wall of any kind.
Like who is going to police it?
The Boarder Patrol? Likely but that would mean a huge increase in law enforcement with
    inherent danger to the officers.
Illegals are often drug smugglers and they will be armed.
Certainly we the people, the government must do something to stem the flood of illegals.
Near my N.E. Ohio home is a huge flea market, farmers market.
200 acres of stands and building.
ICE raided it looking for just one or two criminals.
When officers arrived hundreds of illegals fled for the woods leaving stands and booths empty.
    Funny really.
A large part of the illegal problem is businesses hiring them for very low wages but
even at that illegals live better here than they did where they came from.
If the home of the illegals was at least o.k. then why sneak into the U.S.?
ANY CHILD born on U.S. soil or territory is a citizen.
Sooooooooooo, pregnant illegals sneak in and squirt out a kid and bingo! It's a citizen.
Is the illegal mother going to get booted?
    Nope.
She and the kid will be on the dole living better than where they came from.
    It's a real issue.
    Who foots the bill?
    American taxpayers.
    Except ME!
I not longer pay taxes as I collect my police retirement which was already taxed and
social security which is a tax benefit.:D:D

About "sacntuary" cities that accept and harbor illegals.
    Fine and dandy.
    Burglary, theft, RAPE, crimes skyrocketed.
The same thing happened in Britain when they accepted Muslims fleeing the native land
    for whatever reason.
You see rape is NOT a crime where they came from.
Well it is on the books but NO ONE gets prosecuted and the victim is treated as a whore
sometimes being beaten by Muslim women for allowing herself to be raped.
    Really!?

    http://www.christianpost.com/news/islamic-rape-gangs-a-global-phenomenon-126107/

    Denmark welcomed Islamic "refugees".
Indeed, more than half(jihadwatch.org/2012/07/rape-jihad-in-denmark-more-than-half-of-all-convicted-rapists-have-immigrant-backgrounds-iraqis-iran") of all convicted rapists in Denmark have an immigrant background, according to official statistics, despite the fact that immigrants and their descendants account for less than 10 per cent of the population. “Iraqis, Iranians, Turks and Somalis are dramatically overrepresented among convicted rapists in Denmark,” reports BT.dk."

    BUILD THE FREAKIN' WALL!
Then hire Border Patrol to police it.

The price of freedom is never cheap.

Wall or no wall, next time Mexico falls into chaos, millions will stream into the USA. Mexico is waaaaaay overdue for its next civil war / political collapse. Historically they have such every 50 years -- well that line was crossed long ago and look at all the narco-wars getting hotter and hotter every day down Mexico way. What with the poverty and population being what it is in Mexico, the next blow-out is going to be unimaginable.

Construction of a physical barrier to help defend a border has done by many societies, past and present. Some, like in Israel, are very effective. Completing the border wall is one part of defending our border, but it is not the be-all and end-all, and the administration has advocated other measures. Electronic and aerial surveillance will help. Even better is ending the draw to come with employee e-verify (with stiff penalties who violate it), ending welfare payments to illegal aliens, tough sentencing for drug traffickers, ending funding for sanctuary cities that are wilfully violating the law, etc.

In Israel anyone sneaking, violating the border is shot.
    Survivors shot again.
    A fine effective policy.
    We should adopt that policy.
Islamic terrorists learned long ago to get into the U.S. via Mexico.
Does anyone really think the corrupt, unfriendly, Mexican government really gives
a fat rats patoot if Americans die by terrorists.
    Hardly.
People escaping poverty from South American and happily "escorted" out of Mexico into
    the U.S.
Even U.S. welfare is much better than the standard of living in South American countries.
An exception is Belize that welcomes retired Americans.
    Money don'cha'know.
Great prices on housing in Belize.
I know three fellows that retired from General Motors that moved there.

    A wall???
The Great Wall of China for example.
The huge problem was defending a 7,000 mile wall.

Don't you think that the wall should not only be built along US-Mexican border but also be built at the northern border with Canada, or is it that Mexicans are the only once that cannot control terrorist or are having troops of immigrants into the United States.

Walls never seem to solve anything. If anything, the mere presence of walls are seen by the people on the outside as a challenge, since they are more likely to find ways to bypass or even break down the barrier you have created. I think a wall - a literal wall - is a terrible idea, since it would waste a lot of money for a structure that can easily be bypassed by people who put enough effort into it. A stricter and more expansive network of security would be better, and monitoring those who enter and leave the lines would be a much more effective and efficient way to solve the problem of illegal citizens or whatever it is that they think is the threat to their country.

I seriously doubt the Canadians "sneak: into the U.S.
The Canadians enjoy the socialist government, free medical care and only whine about
the taxes that pay for the socialist government.
I've spent a lot of time in the far north and they HATE Americans but LOVE our money.
Professional, educated, Canadians come to the U.S. in droves for better pay and less taxes.
Florida hosts many thousands of Canadians.
I go to our home in Florida several times a year and know many transplanted Canadians.

I think the best question would be: "For whom would this wall be useful?"

The idea of building that wall was just one of the stupid ideas of that insane mind he has. It's clear that a wall built for that purpose is a total idiocy. I am struck by the fact that there are millions of people who agree with him (this is so sad and worrying at the same time ).

I don't think the wall is going to solve anything, people have figured out how to get into America for years, and a wall is not gonna stop Mexicans from coming over to the US, and to be honest Mexico once owned CA as well as other regions of the US, so who's country is this really?

What is to prevent people from going under the wall? Where there is a will there is a way. Also, what about the money it will take to construct the wall? The US is broke as it is. People don't understand what a massive undertaking this wall would be. I think a better idea would be to take that money and build up industry in Mexico making it less likely that illegals want to come here. However, do not export any US jobs there in order to do so.

There is a reason people are fleeing Mexico. I's a hellhole. And it's a hellhole because it's full of Mexicans! When they come here, the only jobs they can get are below poverty level gobs. Not only are they uneducated and unskilled, they are illegal, so what jobs are available to them? Picking oranges? Construction? Do you want them building your home? They cannot even use a measuring tape. Poor people usually resort to crime. Drugs is the most common. And the sex trade. Sometimes even sex slaves! Do we really want the US to become a hellhole like Mexico? Some sort of wall is already being built. He will not get all he wants, but he is already getting some of that wall. BTW, Mexico contributed nothing during WW11. Mexico has always ben a leach on our back. Some South American countries allowed Nazis to stay in their country after the war. They were allowed to escape justice and enjoy all those years, thanks to the South Americans. I do not want them here. And we have too many uneducated, poor people already. We need educated people who value freedom, not free things paid for with tax dollars.

Hillary sold tons of nuclear weapons fuel to Russia!!!! She put millions of Americans in danger of a nuclear Holocaust! She is married to a rapist! Yet, she is always screaming about gender equality. Trump flushes more IQ everyday than most Democrats have in their head. The fact FDR sent a shipload of Jewish children back to Hitler to die should condemn the Democrat Party to Hell. More proof Democrats are insane and stupid is the fact they now say the Republican Party is the party of the KKK! The Republican Party was started by people who wanted to end slavery!!! That's why when Lincoln was elected the South revolted. They saw what was coming.

FDR, the Democrat Party's God, was the REAL racist and Jew hater! Destroying Civil War monuments is OK. But destroy FDR's monuments first. The SCOTUS ruled many times against his unconstitutional "New Deal." He responded by saying he had the power to open up more seats on the SCOTUS and put Socialist friend in power. Only then did they back off and let him force Socialism on us. It is tax slavery. The same party that loved black slavery gave us tax slavery. The same man who gave us unconstitutional gun laws, sent a shipload of Jewish children back to Hitler to die! I do not think he was trying to "save lives" with his unconstitutional gun laws.

Some historians say FDR set us up for the Pearl Harbor attack. He wanted it to be so bad, the people would finally support saving England. Admirals wanted to keep more ships at sea, so they would not be sitting ducks. FDR said no. We had cut Japan's oil off. They had to react. Cutting Japan's oil off was one of the few things FDR did that was good. Japanese soldiers were cutting men's sex organs of and women's breasts off while they were tied to posts! They recorded it in front of cameras. You can go online now and see those horrible sadistic acts. That is what happens when the people are not allowed to have guns. That is what happens when you do not have a constitutionally limited government. Limited to the "enumerated powers" only. That means no "social programs." No tax slavery. No "New Deal," and no "Great Society."

LBJ called DR King the "N" word to his face. LBJ also supported gun laws (like the other racist, FDR did). DR. King belonged to the NRA. The famous actor, Charleston Hesston, marched with DR King when he was a young actor, risking his carrier, and his life. He later became the president of the NRA. Then he was also called racist! And he and his family got death threats for supporting the Second Amendment. The NRA is now being called racist. BS! The NRA is America's first and most powerful civil rights movement. There are tens of millions of gun owners; that is the only reason they haven't taken our guns. What are they going to do when we do not turn them in? How bloody are they willing to get to enforce unconstitutional gun laws? They cannot do what FDR did to the Japanese Americans. There are too many of us. And we have guns. And we will fight back! A Jewish Holocaust survivor warned to never let the Jew-hating Democrats take our guns! Yes, I know many Jews now support the Democrat Party. They need to grow up and get educated. The quickest way for a white man to get hanged was to be caught selling guns to Indians or freed slaves. The one man who was against the Second Amendment was worried freed salves would be allowed to carry guns with them "wherever they go."

Why do the Democrats want more illegals from poor countries in? They need more uneducated poor voters who vote Democrat! That's why! Americans have become too prosperous. They do not need anymore leach programs. So why vote Democrat?

I must agree about the armed guards. But land mines have ben outlawed since about WW11. They should be treated as an invading army. Warn them for months they will be shot on sight. And then if they still come, shoot them. It would take only about a dozen being shot and they will stop invading us! All adults should be shot as invaders. Dozens die in the deserts trying to cross. Thousands are raped and killed by other Mexicans. A dozen or two being shot is nothing. It will stop the invasion and save a lot of lives, both Mexican and American.

The way I see it is that you choose who enters your house and they need to knock and get permission to enter.
    what happens to home invaders?

Same as country invaders, larger scale same principle, they need to ask and get permission BEFORE they attempt to enter.

Why didn't you show us a map of America before Spain invaded what is now "Mexico and Florida and Cuba?" (Along with a few South American countries.) Should we give all of the North American Continent back to the Natives? And France invaded America, too. But France, Mexico, and England lost: we won. As for walls, A little Jewish country can tell you about walls. And there was a wall that spit Germany for generations. And the Great Wall of China worked for a very, very, long time! There is a reason Americans are not invading Mexico everyday, like they are us: It is a hellhole. Why? The same reason Nazi Germany was a hellhole. Germany was full of Nazis - Mexico is full of Mexicans.

Trump is battling political corruption and communism here in the united states Communist align themselves with the Democrat party , just as I have seen sexual predators hid behind religion communist hide as democrats . The wall is needed to slow down the communist take over plan . How can any sane person won't to give their freedom away . Let’s look at this a little differently. Do you have a door on your house? Do you close it? Do you lock that door? If you answer yes to these questions does that mean that you are a cruel and uncaring person? Don’t you know that there are people out there that would like to come in raid your refrigerator and live in your spare bedroom?

If it is OK for you to secure your house why is it then wrong to secure your HOME? The US in my home. My family has fought in every war that the US has fought as far back as I can trace. We have worked hard and paid taxes and built this country. Should I also be required to give up any money that I have greedily saved for my retirement to others that have not worked or tried to save money?

Consider this, your Democratic representatives are willing to let Americans suffer and even die because to them the rights of illegal criminal aliens is are far greater than the rights, needs or wishes of the AMERICAN citizens that elected them and trusted them to take care of this country.

It isn’t just this wall thing it is the fact that illegal aliens are protected by the so called sanctuary cities and are welcomed into the socialist state of /California where they will get everything that they could ever desire while AMERICANS are homeless in those same sanctuary cities.

Or government is skating very very close to treasonous actions in this. In the words attributed to Thomas Jefferson the purpose of the second amendment, the right to keep and bear guns, is specifically so that IF the Government ceases to be responsive to the will of the people and breaks the covenant of the constitution that it can, if necessary by revolutionary means, return the power to the people.

What do you want to bet that those Democrat A$$hats all lock their doors at night. As is their usual method they want us to accept criminals into OUR home but they will live in walled and gated subdivisions with guards.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I have less than no problem with people coming here to work or even become American citizens. We need them! We need to build a wall or in some way secure our borders; I personally like the idea of mine fields and armed guards. Once secured we need to streamline the way for WORKING people of good moral character are allowed in to work. They are not eligible for welfare, food stamps or government assistance. Their children will not automatically be citizens. They WILL be well paid and receive the same benefits as Americans though and not be treated as second class workers.

How will we know that they are of good moral character? That is simple when the only way in is through defined avenues the ones that have been arrested here in the past will NEVER be allowed in again. Right now they commit crimes over and over and just hop across the border then return when things have cooled off. As far as I care if they commit a violent crime and then return and get caught tattoo a target on their forehead and sell licenses to hunt them and kill them on sight if they reenter.

Only someone to stupid to live would think that letting criminals flood into your home is a good idea.

I just love it what some liberal says were are all immigrants and I say yes, our parents came in through a port of Entry. Like Ellis Island. They were inspected for health problems, mental problems, ability to be self supporting and any number of other requirements. If they did not pass they were sent back, on their dime. That does cause some of them to take pause. Then I tell them I never met a wall that had racial bias, unlike some liberal people. Then I ask them it the American Indians would have be better off if they had a wall when the pilgrims landed? I like to watch their heads explode.

the only original Americans were the first nations, the tribes, and even then they were supposed to have come over an ice bridge from Siberia, all subsequent inhabitants came originally from somewhere else.
likewise Britain at one time because of the ice age was uninhabited , it was only after the ice retreated that people came over from what is now Europe.

1st off walls can keep people out OR keep people in, if Camp FEMA opens, you might wish those walls were not there.

2nd, they wont build them anyway, this is all part of the divide and conquer plan.
Who paid for their $7,000usd trip (normally, they took chartered buses) HINT George Soros-why oi this not in the news?

3rd, the US (usually via the CIA, but not always) has a history of interfering w/ other countries if they don't like the something, take Honduras and Guatemala, and the term banana republic, i wasn't alive then but im sure, im positive there was not a national emergency in the USA over the price of bananas, and if there was, would it make supporting murders, tortures, oppressive governments ok? hell no.
another example is called the economic hit man, there are books and vids on this, the Us gov gets a country to accept loans for infrastructure, which is built by US companies, then when payment is due, the CIA sabotages things so they cant make their payments.
a deal is then worked out for natural resources, UN votes, etc, whatever the US wants/needs.

So 1ST, this needs to stop, 2nd we need to help some of the places we have covertly screwed for so long. all people basic want security, happiness, peace etc (except the psychopaths in charge). you want to stop/slow the flow of illegal immigrants into the USA?
Stop sabotaging their countries/industries/governments, help them rebuild, so they have no desire to leave.

As for stopping the drug trade, the CIA will always get their stuff in anyway.
want to stop it, stop letting cures/treatments being supressed, and burn the CIA to the ground.

Walls are about security and boundaries. You are right they can keep things either in or out. Sometimes the keeping things in is as important as keeping things out. I have lived most of my life in places that were more about walls to keep people and animals in rather than out. It is almost the same thing. You put a wall up to keep prisoners in and live stock on your property.

If your government is using a wall to keep their citizens in the problem is NOT the wall. It is the government. In that case instead of fighting to tear the wall down you need to change the oppressive government. Don't try to blame things for the actions of people. If you don't like things that you government does focus your efforts on the source of the problem rather than on a symbol of that problem.

Where I live "The Walls" is the name of the Home unit of the Texas prison system. It was built in 1849 and is three blocks away from the town square.

    https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=The+Walls+in+Huntsville+Texas&FORM=HDRSC2

Those walls are there to protect good people from bad people during their time of incarceration. If the walls were torn down because some liberal idiot thought it was cruel would the world be a safer place?

People have been building walls forever. There is a security in having something around you so that things can't sneak up on you in the dark that goes back to the first man that found a cave. Since caves aren't movable he started building them. Buildings are just artificial cave and hills. Hills are good to and offer a security that people like. King of the hill means that the most important people are in the safest place. Where is a penthouse.

People like walls at an instinctive level. we have used them for thousands of years to keep bad things away from us. It is as true now as it ever has been. We need a secure boundary. If walls bother people sensibilities then lets lay down a mine field. Same thing, you just don't have to see it.

Looking at this as a complete outsider it seems to me that a wall divides "us from them" this proposed wall along the Mexican border is as much a political statement of this as it is a physical barrier. Because it is such a political statement the democrats obviously felt the need to oppose it...that's just democracy in action but if federal employees are being used as bargaining chips then shame on both the politicians and the White House for screwing with people's lives.

Wow!!!! There are some stupid posts on this thread about the wall.....really stupid.

John Grit and Texdanm are correct about walls.

What we are not being told about the wall...even by the fabled Fox News...is this....

If the wall is not built the left..the Democrats will bring in untold amounts of Illegal Aliens and put them in various states..in particular the high electoral vote states...and on the public breast...then voting rolls....to guarantee their votes for the Democrat Party..and more give aways....just like England and France...the whole of Europe.

Americans will be forced into a position to pay for more and more of this kind of government giveaways for votes...out of their taxes..and more taxes and more taxes...including college for these immigrants...free.

This kind of taxation will approach the levels of bondage...or involuntary servitude to government to perpetuate the leftist Democrat politics and keep them in office and power.....forever.

For the Democrats and the left learned in the 2016 election that they could not cheat sufficient to guarantee an election against an upset and pissed off American public after 8 years of Obama policies.

They need desperately to tamp or stack the vote before the 2020 election.

If the wall does not go up....the Conservatives and the Republican party are finished in America. It is the end..and it will be total and continued leftist socialist communist politics forever.

If the wall goes up and continues to be built..it is the end of the Democrat leftist socialist politics in America. For it is clear that this is more...much more than democrat and republican...it is also against the Deep State.....which is trying very hard to turn America into global obligations, policies, and practices....again with Americans taking second , third and fourth place in their own country....just like in the UK and on the Continent.

There is more going on here than just the wall....much much more.

What is going on amounts to carefully crafted, carefully managed, corruption ...which is Ishmael and bondage planned for us as a nation and people...to a international standard...not an American Standard.
Someone is willing to sell , barter, or trade the very soul of the American people and nation to an international standard..not an American standard...or system. And the deep state is working for international masters not known or seen by design.

If the wall is not built ...we are going to have a Non Representative government....not a representative government. An International government.

Some of you need to learn to look under the rug...not just on the surface.

This has nothing to do with whether these are good or bad illegals...but the intent goals of our own leadership. And many of our leadership owes their allegiance secretly to someone else...not American...not American interests..but international interests.

    Wake up people!!!

Locks, door, fences and walls are there to keep uninvited people out. Nothing more complex than that. Why all this B.S. about race or politics and morality. Stupid diversions garbage. Nothing sinister. People need to knock on the front door and ask to be invited in, really it can't be more simple.

you are correct there is much much more going on here, but your statement "If the wall is not built ...we are going to have a Non Representative government....not a representative government." perplexes me.
Since when have we had a representative government?

you also seem knowledgeable about the "internationalists" pulling the strings, but cant see that this too is a puppet show. Don't feel bad though, I can't get many to wake up to this fact, even when presented with evidence-but I'll keep trying.

Trump took $160 million loan from Soros for Trump Towers Chicago. (Soros is not in the loan business, he is in the destroying nations business)
    https://moneymorning.com/2016/03/02/this-little-known-trump-soros-connection-will-surprise-you/

Jared Kushner owes Soros at least $259million (but also Peter Theil co founder of Paypal, and Goldman Sachs (Rothschild bank) ) for a total of
$1 billion in loans, yes, with a B.
    https://www.businessinsider.com/jar...ldman-sachs-peter-thiel-1-billion-loan-2017-5

    But wait, there's more!

Trump also is business partner with the Rothschilds-after they rescued him from bankrupts in the 90's. And his Commerce Secretary, Wilbur Ross, headed a Rothschild team.
    https://www.forbes.com/sites/chasew...look-at-25-years-of-connections/#605d795ff820

Then you have Jeffery Epstein, Trump is on video saying, he likes his women young, is a convicted pedophile, convicted of forcing 40+ American teens into sexual slavery for the rich, which took place on his private island, wired for sound and video-and then used the video to blackmail people (i suspect he is also mossad).
but his sentence for his conviction? 18 months, in the private wing of a prison, where he was allowed to leave 16 hours a day, 6 days a week, of the 13months he served out of the 18! and he was not disciplined for the multiple violations of probation either. must have some "good" videos!
On top of that his "deal" was illegal, not discussed with victims as required by Florida law.
The prosecute who made that illegal deal, and suppressed evidence, is now part of Trumps cabinet!
    https://trofire.com/2018/11/29/trumps-labor-secretary-let-accused-pedophile-off-the-hook/

Then you have the Bush 2 Neo-Con members, more Banking CEO's etc.
He drained the swap and filled in with sewage.

Trump told Hillary if he was Pres, she would be in jail, But like the wall i doubt that will happen either. They are related.
    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/aug/25/donald-trump-hillary-clinton-are-related-genealogy/

Then you said "They need desperately to tamp or stack the vote before the 2020 election",
after the 2000 elections, recount, hanging chads all in a state whos govener is the brother of the winner was chance?
or the 2004 elections and Ohio? Even i was unawre of this until recently.
    http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/2004votefraud_ohio.html

We are aware (most of us) that they (rich/powerful) play both sides of the fence to maximize chances of getting what they want, they didn't stop with the Trump campaign. They just have everyone confused with reverse psychology.

Dr. Drew Pinsky of Love Line, Celebrity Rehab, and a a CNN show, was fired the day he said on air the glasses Hillary was wearing, are a medical device, and ONLY used on people with a brain injury, and her doctors were bordering on malpractice (after her medical records were released). I have heard other Drs, not from Hollywood say the same thing.
I cant find the exact number currently but its approx 27x days between her campain rallies, when trump was doing them almost daily. then we have her fainting, coughing uncontrollably, and more. She was never suppose to win.
That also gives them a base for the right/left bullshit.
Divide and Conquer, seems to work every time, and with almost everyone.

    anon.amus,

My feeling on this matter is that someone wants to come out in the open with a Non Representative government....not hide it as the have been doing for many many years now via the Deep State apparatus. And they want to go Global with it.

Good point about the reverse psychology...

Sort of a Hegelian principle at work...a dialectic!!! A Dialectic controlling both sides.

I am aware of this at work to get us into WW1 and WW2 both...as well as in Vietnam..and Korea..

As far as I am concerned..we lost WW1 and 2...and the others as we are quietly implementing the programs for which we claim our adversaries were doing.

I am also somewhat aware of long range plans for a WW3....and made long ago.

There seem to be indications in history where Presidents and other leaders seem want to turn on their "Handlers."

I suspected this many years ago when reading about Andrew Jackson not renewing the US Bank charter.

This also appears to be the case with Woodrow Wilson after returning from the Versailles's Treaty signing.

Both Jackson and Wilson ...when they left office...you hardly hear about them.

Nixon...the same thing...I think he turned against his handlers as well.

There are strange stories about FDR towards the end of his life as well..also about his death.

    Kennedy too.

These people thought they were a real President...operating on their own....as the Elders taught me.

As to Trump...I've thought some of what you are indicating though I've not read those sources you cite.

I am asking myself is if Trump is really going to turn on the Fed...and return the money system back to the Treasury or segue to internationalists....to a Global System.

What's more...and what verily interests me...is whether Trump will overhaul the Education Department and it's stranglehold on what is taught in our public schools ...or conversely ...not taught.
I suspect that if he does....it is going to be a really big uphill fight ..more difficult than the Fed.

Or...he won't touch it...doesn't intend to touch it.

I certainly agree with your opinion of the department of education . teachers have to teach made up history from fictional history books or be fired .This has been going on so long even the teachers don't know true history from fiction .

dont even have kids, but was shocked when i discovered the BS they were pushing to kids, via common core math, the ONLY purpose of that is to keep you stupid, and at best to count change, even the math i learned in the 80s, was harder than nessesary, we were told japanese were great at math, but the truth is they had a better way to do it.

I should tell you poltiregist....that when I went to school in the 60s....years later when I began reading and studying on my own..I learned they were even messing with the history back then. There were patterns of thought and belief for which someone was working hard back then to "Herd" the American Public like cattle. Along with this ...certain lines of thought/history were omitted from our understanding and or study in public schools.

The thing for which I detect today is that the changes and or revisions are coming at a faster rate.

What , to me, is disgusting is that the rate or speed of the "Herding " and also the revised history is faster than when I was coming up. This is called Social Justice today and I call it Guilt Programming and Guilt Shaming. Not interested here in this kind of social religion....or this kind of social politics/religion...as if there is a difference. It is still Herd Mentality.

I am just not interested in Social Justice Herding and have learned to pick up on it very rapidly in the news...and among our leadership in their speeches.

anon.amus has it correct in the Readers Digest version..............BS!!! Bravo Sierra for another version.

Also correct....even todays teachers no longer know much history..and this is not an accident....but deliberately cultivated towards a goal.

As the Elders used to drum into my head....back when they went to school...an educated person would have a vocabulary of some 4,000 to 4,500 words and knew what they meant.

Today a college graduate has a vocabulary of some 1,000 to 1,200 words and most of them four letter words.

I was a bit upset when told this ...but over time I was to learn that they were pretty much correct.

So far has our educational standards fallen.

We are ourselves rapidly on the way to becoming among "The Fallen."

If one does not have a decent vocabulary by which to exchange knowledge, ideas, understanding.....one is left with a lot of base instincts ...mostly emotional. And with people easily put on the emotions..because they know little reason or logic and the inability to communicate the same...

They become base animals...eating , drinking and reproducing other base animals.

An educated person is a disciplined person..not an emotional drama queen...ie.....snowflake.

But to me the frightening thing about many uneducated and undisciplined unknowledgeable snowflake types out here today....is that they are often voters. And someone is pulling their string ..right into a voting booth.

    Well...enough of that....

There are the illiterate. The schooled educated and then those with deductive reasoning eduction. You do not have to have a PHd to be able to spot B.S. . Reading above comic book level can help increase vocabulary understanding. Want to understand different government and have a good read, try the "Honor Harrington" scifi book series. Interplanetary travel / warfare and just about every type of government system is describes, with their pro's and con's. Yes there is a socialist planetary system. Fun and interesting to watch how all the different types play out and which type win's out in the end.

There are different levels of illiteracy. More and more I actually have a hard time on line finding written news. It seems that most people want to watch videos rather than read. Thought has become a dirty word to most young people these days and reading takes more thought than passively watching a video.

i guess that depends on what your definition of "word" is, even im guilty of u, ur, 2, im, etc sometiumes, but i still cant stomach the emojis, in a couple years kids will be writing in 100% cartoons, talking in 100 "text shorthand", and if we get an EMP or something like that it could be like being in a sea of mutes-thats a scary thought.
but you are right the changes are coming faster and faster, the slave trade, is now referred to in text books as the "triangle trade", you know who checks textbooks for accuracy?
    no one.
but most of we were taught was bullshit also, if someone can show me how to make a post like this topic, that will show up ( i don't know why it wont for me, someone else told me that if i wanted other to see my posts i needed to comment on another???) but ill post a a short "article" i wrote that i believe proves one of our most celebrated founding fathers, was a serial killer, all from official sources-its gotten awesome reviews on 2 other sites. but i don't wanna hijack this thread.

I have argued about having a wall built for ten years on scores of forums all across the Internet, and have been met with constant ridicule and the usual BS crap that they can just use a ladder, but fail to meet the criteria of basic common sense on how they would traverse the other side without a ladder.Never mind a 30' wall.

The wall makes perfect sense and is indeed needed. I'm glad we have a President with the testicular fortitude to see to it it's built, and I'm certain he'll get it done come hell or high water.

Walls work like fire works for power plants, cars, trains. planes. and missiles, up to and including the now shelved space shuttle. In fact, San Diego and parts of Texas that do have a wall have seen a major drop in border crossings.

There is a right way and a wrong way to enter into this country. You just don't get to walk on over and expect a basket of goodies paid for by Joe tax payer.

My uncle and his nephew came here from Egypt and did it the right way. Many others do so as well. What makes these people think they're so god damn special?

To me words serve as a grist.....they are not knowledge or wisdom itself... A grist by which our thinking and intuition are fed....nurtured. How we train and nurture our thinking is different for many of us than just knowing words.
Thinking is knowing how best to put the words together to communicate...even learn.

As a Ham radio operator and in particular in morse code.....abbreviations are often used in place of full words. One needs, therefore, to be familiar with the format. I don't have a problem with that.

I do have a problem with various degrees of illiteracy....in our language abilities...

Abbreviations are not always a substitute for the ability to use full words to communicate thoughts, ideas, and understandings.

I am grateful to the Olde Timers and Elders for educating me into the knowledge of how much of a vocabulary educated people had in times past. What they also did for me was introduce me to certain works which aptly illustrated to me the extent of the vocabulary of writers in olde times. In this reading of older works....it became clear my vocabulary was severely lacking.

My problem with the changes coming faster and faster....is that to many of them are emotional...not thinking per se..

I am not against emotions ..but I don't care a lot for what I call...drama queens.

I am strongly suspecting that in todays desire/need of someone or some groups to get power....they must have the most illiterate and uneducated drama queens take center stage because they are much easier to get them to vote a certain way and or manner....more easily "Herded" by their emotions. Thus people who are watchers...not thinkers or doers. Emoters and drama queens with primarily a television and or movie education.

I too am not keen on emotional symbols or whatever they are called today...not my cup of tea.

    Watching the time ...gotta run..

I like writing as a form of communication. My mouth will run away with me at times. Once said you can't unsay it. When I write I can go over it and tend to make my ideas more clearly and true to my thoughts without letting my emotions intrude as much.

I spend a lot of time thinking. I ponder the things that I have read and heard and try to even occasionally have truly original thoughts. THAT is harder to do than you can imagine.

Without others to throw new things to me though, I end up in a circuitous wasteful thought pattern. Grist indeed is what the thoughts of others offers to a thinking person.

The "Wall" is more of a symbol of our rights and how the future is going to be than a real object. The question it is asking us is "Do we deserve the good life that we live here that was built, bought and paid for by our forefathers OR should we be forced to give it away to every third-world migrant that wants to come and hook onto the sugar tit." The liberal say YES because they know that these people will be staunch supporters of a non-functioning socialist state. Once in total power and once they have everyone in an equally poverty stricken state they will cut off the free goodies. Liberals are big on giving YOUR money away to lazy bums but they won't give a dime of THEIR money to a starving child. You don't find liberals working in soup kitchens or missions.

    Texdanm,

What you post here is pretty much what the Elders versed in history taught me..in particular that by the time todays "Intellects" get done with our nation through their rabid belief in Wealth Redistribution.....that equality will be found at the poverty level. When everyone is equally poor.....except the leadership of course.

Agree ...these people on the left are not that charitable with their monies..but definitely with someone else's monies.

Thus also meaning they are very charitable with someone else taking all the risk in life for them....while they default through on Ishmaelite emotions.....drama.

Wealth Redistribution is not Risk Redistribution....and this is very very telling if you know ...further than a television and or movie education.

Walls are as old as mankind. They are built for a very simple reason. They keep the unwanted things outside, and they keep the inside things safe. The Chinese figured this out in the 7th Century B.C. Anyone who says walls don't work is a special kind of stupid. If you want to look at a more modern example google the Israeli walls. They (the Israelis) claim they have reduced illegal immigration by 99%. Hungary guilt a wall on the Serbia/Croatia border. Turkey is building a wall with Syria. Suadi Arabia is building a wall with Yemen.

Do you lock you doors at night? Do you lock your car when you park it? Why would we not build a wall?
