I am getting more than a little pi##sed off with the actions of some of our citizens during this covid pandemic.
we have had someone waiting until lockdown then complaining that he cant buy kids clothes and ripping down some barriers that were erected in the supermarket, he has now been charged with criminal damage and rightly so.
we had a guy in a Tesco's supermarket, throwing bottle of booze onto the floor and smashing them, just because he was asked to wear a face mask in the store.
these are just a couple of examples and I'm sure its just the tip of the iceberg.
what is happening to people that they "kick off" in this matter just because of some minor inconvenience.
I dread to think how they will behave in the big one, WTSHTF, in some places they will be shot and killed for acting in such a manner .
rationing wont work, these sorts arent going to get in line with their ration books, they will loot and burn. what has happened to "CIVIL-isation", we have bred a generation of snowflakes and idiots, most dont seem to have an OFF switch and just go ape shit just because things are a little different.
common sense and good behaviour are now things of the past and no longer exist.
I think I've had it with so called society, roll on WTSHTF.

    Good morning Lonewolf,

It's about the same on this side of pond.

In reply to the question ......

My approach to viewing this has less to do with the trash ... not the broken bottle of something but the trash who caused a problem with costs to some merchant.

It's really about labor economics and the follow-on labor politics.

Think about both law enforcement / security personnel and educators.

Bloated costs for both labor categories with changed forms of government (speaking for US jurisdiction and not UK ones) prohibiting provate citizen enforcements allow the trash to do things like not wear masks in a store.

There are too few LEOs in most areas of the US - especially the cities and suburb areas.

The public education program morphed into a jobs program. Many public schools have payrolls with less educators than non-educators.

When the citizenry accepts paying for what is required under new governmental edicts (eg not allowed to realistically defend oneself) and the political establishment is sturdy enough to exercise political will such as revitalizing the old US laws on merchants allowed to police their stores, it will return to semi-normal.

We've had laws and programs that mimiced water vessel operators where they had LE authority in re their vessel.

Much changed with the efforts of groups like the ACLU.

It's not about to happen to see arrests regarding defiance of social stability. It costs too much to arrest someone.

I hope it dosent happen down here, we dont have the Police numbers here to cope, but this social disobedience is more of a city happening, and we dont have large cities in the south west and none in the rural areas.

What we are seeing is is the result of the "Spock" (not the movie character) generation of spoiled, self centered children. These now adults were never taught self control or discipline. Society is now paying the price for spoiling several generation of children.

I guess that we just are not taking this as seriously as others around the country and world. When I go to the store about half of the people wear masks and half don't bother with them. If I think about it I usually wear one but if I get in the store before I remember I don't go back out and get it. Honestly, it just isn't a very deadly flu. If I get it I will deal with it but am not going to hide infear of catching it. If it was all that infectious this area should be having a bad go of it. The prisons seem to have a lot of it but the people that work there are not catching it like I would have expected. So far I don't even know anyone that has had it. Our restraunts are open and the schools are going. The stores are doing a good business and people are out and about here. It just doesn't seem to want to infect us.???

As to the anger aspect. As I read the news, the anger level of the populace is heading up into the stratosphere. Even before the Chinacovid attack, people had begun fighting in department stores over the most stupid issues. Flash-mob attacks and "The Knockout Game" phenomena have been going down for better that five years -- around 2012 these began to make the news.

In the USA, there is a rise in Chinacovid cases, however the death rates from the engineered disease are dropping. People are getting it, but fewer are dying. Among youthful people who do not smoke and are not obese, the symptoms can be minor, and some do not even have noticeable symptoms at all. Therefore being forced to wear a mask simply isn't being accepted -- especially among college students. Where I'm from, people are only wearing masks when going to grocery stores and department stores. Hardware stores & farm supply stores you'll see 50% usage, maybe.

People across the world are becoming fatigued with the Chinacovid measures. Being cooped-up in homes has also made a lot of folk go more than a little-bit crazy. Cabin-fever is a very real psychological disorder. Some prison inmates go psychotic and many commit suicide. Humans are wolf-like and cannot be caged without there being personality-disorder consequences.

Rising crime rates in urban areas isn't helping the general psyche either. Major progress had been made in American urban areas in reducing gang-related shootings. The police were allowed to profile potential released felons (many they just knew from the streets) and stop and search them. This got a lot of firearms out of the hands of felons = fewer shootings. After profiling has been banned, the murder rates have shot back up (forgive the bad pun).

In the U.S. there are the pro-Marxist riots. In Europe there are the street stabbings.

In sum, emotional tensions are not simply rising, they are exploding in some quarters. We in the USA who live in small-town/rural regions observe this from afar. We do get some urban spill-over in the form of the drug trade and home invasions which infuriates us. But here in rural areas the racial tension and the overall anger-factor is FAR lower. We are living in "business as usual".

We non-urban/non-suburban folk are the exception, however. In all densely populated areas on Earth, human emotions are going negative. In some areas it is going VERY negative. Me, I see absolutely ZERO solutions for this societal disorder. I see this progressing into chaos.

What I see as totally unavoidable is economic collapse. Any number of SHTF events could occur (America is massively overdue for having major earthquakes), but the economy taking a dump is certain. When economies get flushed down the toilet, the people decompensate. During the 1930s the Great Depression was overcome due to the resiliency of the populace. People had morals, they had work ethic, they didn't blame others, so they rolled up their sleeves and starting putting things back together again. Over 70% worked in agriculture (now it is over 75% in urban areas) and could feed themselves and others. Government programs were just to provide jobs, not a handout. FDR's programs were work programs. The U.S. coinage and even paper currency was based on something, not just Congress saying that it was good. We got better. Then a war came along and put us back into debt. WWII certainly did not help us. If we got any benefit from the war it was that British and German industry was destroyed leaving the USSR and America as the only heavy industry producers.

OK, so now a economic mega-disaster happens. This IS inevitable; it will happen. What will happen with the people is going to be beyond a nightmare. Witness two killer factors. One, people have no basic skills for surviving. Two, people have the attitude that "somebody else" is going to fix things. When something bad happens now, governments pretend money into existence and magically things get a bit better temporarily. Government debts are now such that "money" cannot be borrowed into existence. Debts relative to GDP are now over 90%, investors know that government debts will NEVER be paid, and so it is game over. Even Big Brother gets hobbled. Law enforcement and military personnel have families and need to be paid to get them to do their jobs. When the people dependent on government stop getting checks that have buying power, there will follow mega-violence. The riots we witness today are a fart in a whirlwind. Dark smoke will billow from the cities, mass looting will be the order of the day. Panic can take any form. People are going to lose their minds. Wars between nations will also be set-off -- making the world sink further into raw hell.

So, just read the MSM. As soon as capitalism is replaced with socialism, a near-utopian existence will follow. The robust and flourishing utopias that are today's USSR and Venezuela, will be there for all fellow travelers. Be happy, don't worry. Do what you're told and paradise will follow.

we personally have been very careful with covid, socially distancing and wearing masks in all public buildings, cabin fever dosent bother me, I could stay home for weeks/months on end and it wouldnt faze me, apart from a daily walk and once a week trip to the local corner shop we were in lockdown for 3 months and it made little difference to my lifestyle.
I just dont know why these people are kicking off but they will be the ones to watch WTSHTF.

    https://outofthecave.io/articles/follow-the-science-1-2-million-covid-deaths-edition/

"Sadly, a lot of people die every day, and I’m sure you’ve seen memes on social media on how many more people die from other causes like Tuberculosis (1.4M in 2019) than COVID-19.

"In the US, where the COVID death toll currently sits at 225K, it is estimated that medical malpractice kills 250K Americans a year.

"But an even bigger number, according to the WHO, is that alcohol abuse kills 3 million people annually, and that number will surely go even higher this year given the massive spike in mental illness, domestic violence, child abuse, depression and suicide caused by the lockdowns.

"If this is about saving lives, we could literally bring those alcohol related deaths to zero, turning it off like the flick of a switch by instituting a global ban on alcohol. We could do it tomorrow. Should we? The lives we save may include your own.

In 1957, the US population was half that of today's population. The flu of 1957 killed over 100,000 Americans -- i.e. equivalent to our current situation with Chinacovid. High mortality rates were seen in the elderly and CHILDREN. The country did not shut down, indeed the nation went on living. There was caution, however there was not panic. The people of the 1950s were not hand-wringers.

I guess that I am more fortunate than most in that I am not very affected by most of this. I live in a rather isolated place and fashion and am by nature someone that likes the peace and quiet of a limited social life. My health has made that more necessary and so there are not as many temptations to leave the house as there used to be. We are both retired now and between savings, pensions, social security, and a lack of debt we are more financially secure than most.

I lived through and survived pretty well a couple of periods of massive economic downturns. I have always been able to find work even if it was just day work or short tern security stuff. I am big and have a lot of odd skills and tallents that better allowed me to deal with this sort of thing and someone that may have had a better education but only one basic sort of job skills. For most of my adult life I have been more or less self-employed and even when I did work for others I still considdered it being selfemployed because I never planned on making any of those jobs a lifetime carreer. I would work there until something better came along or the economy turned and I got laid off.

When you are mostly working as skiled labor you don't have the same sort of job security as people in lower paid jobs. When things slow down they had a hard time justifying my high pay and I would belayed off. This actually suited me pretty well. I would lay around for a little while and then when I got bored I would either find a job or just work for myself doing all sorts of thngs.

Look at a house and you can't see anything in it on it or about it that I can't build for you or fix. The same is true of a resturant, shop, hospital or business. I am an electrician/plumber/carpenter/roofer/mechanic/machinest/ gunsmith/body guard. Pretty much anything that I have not done for a living I have done at one time or another as a hobby. I think that some people are just not very well suited to a stable long term one employer career.

I hate being bored and will not put up with being trated like someones hired property. I will work hard for you but only offer you as much loyalty as you offer me. A place that lays people off every time business slows down a little bit and lets people go on Fridayat theend of the day without warning shouldn't be suprided when I walk off at the end of the day as soon as someone offers me more money. I always offered an employer exactly as much notice as they offer me when it was time to part ways. Most of the time was "Notice that I am loading up my tools and am not coming back tomorrow!"

I have never been totally unemployed for much more than a few days if I wanted a job. Most places that I had ever worked would hppily take me back. The ones that wouldn't I usually explained to them when I left exactly what I thought of them and would never work for them even if they asked. I am goodat what I do and there are not many with my skill set out there. Nobody ever owned me and I wouldn't last long orking for an asshole that liked to yell and cuss at me. In several cases, I walked out and left them haning because a boss tried to treat me like a slave that they owned. I only went back one time. they actually made me an offer that I could not refuse.

They couldn't find anyone that could finish their work on a subsea blowout preventer and they offered big cash and I lived with the shop boss until the job was done. After that, I loaded up and never went back. I likeed the shop forman and hated the stupid owner. He might THINK that he was better than me but he sent his forman begging me to come back when he saw a multimillion dollar contract going down the tubes when he couldn't find anyone to replace me. LOL he got me back for about 6 weeks but it cost him about what 6 MONTHS of my wages would have cost him had he not been such an ass. They begged and I stuck it too them!

"Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced on Tuesday that it released 250 immigrants with criminal histories in response to a coronavirus-related order issued by the Central District of California.

"ICE claims that "despite requests to transfer detainees to alternative locations," it ended up releasing 250 from the facility, which is run by a federal contractor. Those released had histories of a variety of crimes, including assualt with a deadly weapon, driving under the influence, "lewd/lascivious acts with a child," child cruelty, illegal re-entry after removal, and other offenses."

Could you please put on a mask and use hand sanitizer?

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/chicago-security-guard-stabbed-27-mask-coronavirus

"After a Chicago security guard asked two shoppers to put on coronavirus masks in his store, they allegedly punched him, pulled his hair and stabbed him more than two dozen times.

"The suspects, a pair of sisters, allegedly pounced on the 32-year-old victim at Snipes on the city’s west side Sunday, after he asked them to wear masks and use hand sanitizer."

not just America, these events are happening all over the western world.
I wonder if that means that societal collapse is not far away. if people dont follow the rules then its going to be a free for all and "civilisation" has had its day.
is this the very start of the beginning of the end?

I wasnt talking about any of us getting stabbed Tex, I think we are all a bit more switched on than that, but about the prevalence for violence in the non prepper masses in general at something as minor as being asked to wear a face mask.

    Herded....remember ...Herding.....

People are getting tired of being herded....like cattle...

You are going to find that very social people....people heavily dependent on social contacts cannot take what is happening.....

They are getting tired and disgusted with the Herding going on.

People are being socially, economically, physically herded...but no one wants to publicly so state.

The question you need to be asking about this Herding...is....who profits from it?????

Forget all the BS in the media about it....and phony leadership...

Who profits from it???? What Ishmaelites profit from it?????

I should also clarify my previous post by stating that I am not the social butterfly type...needing to be on the go all the time to make my daily social contacts...run the stores...go to sales at certain stores and run such a daily routine...to maintain my mental faculties.

I am also not a phonaholic...needing to be on the phone 24/7...and having a phone velcroed to my palm. I will not roll up and wither away if I don't have access to a phone.

I spend my days mostly at home ...or out in my garage/radio room....and such ...not running the streets as the expression goes.

I can easily identify with lonewolf in that....and his conditions out in the country.

Never was the social butterfly type as the expression goes...mostly a loner with a small circle of people with whom I associate.
As a ham...I can make contacts locally or round the world via radio..and or here on line...

I wont go bouncing off the walls if I don't have intense social contacts..

Or to put it another way ...this C19 lockdown business has not severely altered my lifestyle..

Sounds similar in lonewolf's neck of the woods.

But it is clear to me about the social butterfly types....it is severely altering their lifestyles and or personal relationships at home..and thus their mental faculties.

And we see the fruits of this being born out.

That year that I spent in a form of lockdown many many years ago...at the NATO Base at Keflavik Iceland....conditioned me for such as this. No car...little monies...no where to go but to and fro work....and the limited stores on base.

My Sister is very much like me and stated the same ...that the C19 has not significantly altered her lifestyle...but those who are very very social...and mentally/spiritually dependent on their advanced social life....and like to go out to eat and spend monies regularly...it has severely altered their lifestyles and their mental capacities..their state of mind.....their Linus social type security blankets if you prefer..

You are, to me, observing people who have been taken cold turkey away from their social drug habits...so to speak...you are witnessing withdrawal symptoms.

Now..I do have one advantage over many people out here..in that my line of work is considered essential..and is not shutting down or cutting staff...

Other than that ...not much social butterflying going on good times or now...

Lonewolf, people that were already not very stable are beginning to slip over the line to bat$hi+ CRAZY!!! People that before had no morals and wee already criminals are now using this as an excuse to do things like we are seeing in the places that restrict the right of good honest people from defending their lives or property. Allowing and encouraging things like this as the liberal leadership is doing is like throwing a gallon of gas onto a lit stove in your home. People are getting scared and then othrs are going nucking futs. Eventually even in the insane liberal places that is a recipe for massive bloodshed.

Where I live people are not nearly as tense or restricted. Some wear masks and some don't. The TRUTH is that the mask offers you little to NO protection and is NOT intended to protect YOU. A doctor in surgery wears a mask to protect the patient from infection and not to protect them. If you are maintaining a safe distance there is no real benefit to a mask. Many people these days are wearing them almost toaly as a political and social statement. What little protection that a mask provides sort of goes to nothing when you wear it on your chin and leaves your nose exposed. Also a lot of people are wearing single layer cloth masks that offer no real protection.

The restrictions that are being forced on people in liberal hell holes in the US are intended more to create tensionand problems than to actually offer any real health benefit. LOL, the Liberals cause these problems, encourage them and then blame Tump for the problems. Anyone that goes for that level of lie is just too stupid to be alowed to ride anything but a short bus to get around. The Democraticprocess was a good idea but over time it has been destriod by the politiical systems to allow them more and more power. Most of the originallaws and rules about voting rights and civil liberties were to protect people FROM the government. Letting idiots and aliens vote was never the intention of our founding fathers.

Guns are the true equalizer Lonewolf. A midget with a gun doesn't have to depend on someone else to protect him from a giant thug. He is well able to tend to it himself. THAT is the sort of freedom that the liberal north has lost and we still have in Texas. If you want to die here try attacking a little old man or lady. They especially will shoot you in aflash if you attack them. They were of adifferent generation and not programed to be weak.

By the way, my wife and I voted today and that means that all of my family is DONE with this crap and are jolly well sick of it ALL. From this point on I am NOT going to listen to ANY more stupid political ads! I don't care who you vote for. Please go and vote. This nation may not be all that it was supposed to be but when you vote you are at least stating that you still care. There is always hope that people will eventually wise up and begin to act like civilized people again and demand the same of others. When you don't vote you are telling the politicians that you just don't care anymore and that they can do whatever they want.

Ho, ho, ho! No, no, no!

    https://www.zerohedge.com/geopoliti...ings-if-families-are-caught-breaking-englands

"As local mayors battle with the UK's central government over the terms of anti-coronavirus lockdown measures, local police chiefs are warning that Britons may be in store for a holiday season distinctly reminiscent of the "Red Terror".

"Several police chiefs warned that family Christmas celebrations could be broken up by intruding officers if households are found to have violated the lockdown rules.

"David Jamieson, commissioner of the West Midlands police, said officers will be compelled to investigate reports of rule-breaking over the festive period, since the West Midlands is currently under Tier 2 restrictions, meaning people can't mix with anyone outside their own household or bubble.

    https://thecritic.co.uk/issues/november-2020/welcome-to-covidworld/

"On 8 September, the World Health Organisation (WHO) warned of a deadly condition that is likely to kill around 11 million people worldwide every year. This includes 2.9 million deaths among children, most of which are preventable. Given these awful projections, it is surely clear that urgent action is needed: social distancing; facemasks; lockdowns; unprecedented investment in vaccine development.

"But that wouldn’t address the problem, because we’re talking about sepsis, something that affects 49 million people annually and also leaves many survivors with long-term health problems.

"While its press release about sepsis received little media attention, the WHO’s subsequent warning that Covid-19’s global death toll could reach 2 million, even if a vaccine is found, was awarded a prominent position on the BBC News website and elsewhere. So which should we be more worried about and where should our efforts be invested so as to minimise suffering, long-term illness and deaths?

"The emphasis has been placed firmly on prevention of Covid-19 deaths, most of which involve elderly people with significant comorbidities. Forget about sepsis. Forget about numerous other serious and preventable diseases."

    https://www.activistpost.com/2020/1...ead-into-strict-6-week-national-lockdown.html

"Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo has announced a national lockdown will go into place on Monday when the government will attempt to stamp out the social life of its citizens in hopes of cutting down on COVID-19 infections and deaths.

"The lockdown – described as “reinforced” – will be in place for at least 6 weeks and will shut down “non-essential” businesses amongst other strict social measures."

"The new measures will attempt to restrict anyone from receiving visitors at home, with the exception of a single “cuddle-contact.” People living alone will be allowed to have two cuddle-contacts. ( … that isn’t creepily dystopian by any means … )"

"Professions that require close contact such as hairdressing will be made illegal while funerals can take place with up to 15 people, without a ceremony afterward."

I'm wondering if non-custodial parents with visitation rights will be allowed to have their kid over for a weekend. Probably not. Mom will keep the kids and keep them in lock-down, as dictated by government scientists (bishops and archbishops of the Church of Secular Humanism). One imagines that God Government will consider these restrictions that which is best for the good of the collective.

    Good morning Old Geezer,

My guess is that, statistically speaking, to avoid dying from COVID-19 is not to get old.

This sounds like a good idea with 1 major discrepency.....

Believe it was Alfred Hitchock or Otto Preminger (spelling - the movie producer guy) who said something like:

    - " The trip up the mountain of life is difficult and tiring. But when you arrive at the peak, the view is so clear ............" -

After this geometricly - inflated plague completes the restructuring of the American society - I support this - our society will return to the usual problems and confrontations.

    ..........

Still, getting old has many problems that can't be explained to the non-old.

"Still, getting old has many problems that can't be explained to the non-old." -- Pragmatist

I find myself explaining things to my sons (now in their mid-thirties to early-forties). At least now they are mature enough to listen, mature enough to call me for advice. Praise God that He gave me the patience as a child to sit on porch swings with people born in the 1880s & 1890s and take-in all they had to say.

From a great-uncle, I learned about the scope of our tiny-town's 1903 flood. To me was explained Life's scaffolding; gardening, games, social clubs, building buildings, the semi-permanent glue of love, the day vs. the night economies, who in power did what while they were in positions of power, the under-the-table interdependencies, how church pastors competed against each other, who held the real power in the town, who had "gone visiting" and never returned.

I was a kid, but since I acted like an adult (lest I be punished), my community's elders, the elders on my side of the tracks, simply told me things that were NEVER going to be printed in the local news. Dad taught me the gambling game well before my voice deepened; which is to say coming to understand core human nature, its strengths and its weaknesses. As a teen, I kept keeping my mouth shut while counting the night's take and listening to the street knowledge of "the guys". No, I didn't understand it all -- I was a kid. However, I sure did come to understand the reality that the reality considered by the masses of the manipulated to be reality wasn't really reality.

The song-birds whistle their memorized melodies so that the fledglings will one day build their own nests and whistle happy tunes they imagine to be their own.

    Good morning Old Geezer,

The public is missing something about the French lockdown.

Only a little can be found on the web.

The alledged suspect - person of interest Monsour Brahim Aoussaoui, a 21 year old from Tunesia, had been a refugee in Italy for several weeks.

    He was ordered deported.

He tok a train on 9 or 10 October to France.

    He avoided French Immigration formalities.

Macron's national actions goes well beyond multiple murders at a Lyon church.

Some weeks ago, I posted a quote from a retired Israeli general saying "Europe has been conquered. They just don't know it yet".

Still, most of our time and effort must go to our national election and let the European continent attempt their own resolution of problems - if possible.

Your cell phones tell on you .....now many of your appliances will too...and so too do your cars..particularly if you have a GPS system...in your car or cell phone...

I knew many years ago that people could be monitored in their homes via their telephone answer machines...particularly the ones wherein you had a code you could call home...punch in the code and listen to what was going on in that room.....at your house.

This applies to your cell phones as well as your lap tops...desk tops too particularly if you have a camera on them. If you are smart you tape up your camera. This one is and when I am not on this laptop....I unplug the AC power connection and the laptop battery is removed...so too the cable connection.

In the future if not already your refrigerator will be telling on you...your washing machine...dryer...et al.

I believe this gear or program type is slated to be installed in the new generation of ham radios/walkie talkies....they too are going digital.

You members don't have to buy into this...this is just what I believe is coming if not already much of it here..

Do you people really think the government/Phone companies switched to touch tone phones and away from rotary dial to make it easier/quicker for you to dial phone numbers?????

My Ham Walkie talkies have a touch tone pad on the front of them and I can make short phone calls on certain repeaters......but cell phones have replaced most of this today.

I am going to expose a personal prejudice here. I don't pay any attention to what the French do. their leadership historically seems to act and react in a hysterical manner to a lot of things and in general fail too often to act in what a sane person would consider the best interest of their people. Twice members of my family have gone across the pond to fight and in a couple of cases die for French freedom. They hate us for that and one thing that all of my family members agree on is that we should have just let the Germans have them BOTH times. France has made a useless ally...they actually have never been much of an ally to anyone. Great Brittian has been a good and trustworthy ally and well worth fighting WITH and for. The French prefer to surrender and then let others do the fighting for their freedom.

The fact that they are locking down and taking away the freedoms of their people is typical. If given the opportunity they will surrender to a virus. It bothers me a lot that I see the US beginning to go down a similar path.

In the past, the US required new immigrants to have something to offer us. We NEEDED workers. Now the liberal prefer to bring in more and more looser welfare recipients that were useless to their native country or were abandoning it rather than fight for it. If they win this election expect them to throw open the borders to every low life and lazy beggar in the world and then tax those of us stupid enough to work into poverty to support their imported voter class.

It isn't going to happen but if we want our children to live free we are going to have to shut our borders, throw out and then KILL invaders if they return, and kill those in our nation that consider rioting and looting to be a RIGHT.

It has been said that the tree of our American freedom has to be watered with the blood of patriots. I offer instead that we need to water it with the blood of those that would destroy it. Whatever our tree is dying and we will either fight for it and see to its care or it will become nothing but firewood for those that would take from us what we have in the past built and protected.

Agree with Texdanm..here....the left is only interested in manufacturing a new brood of controllable, malleable, guaranteed voters. If you look at one leftist program after another...the pattern is to put these people on the public purse and thus buy their votes. It is a shakedown...a vote buying scheme...on the public purse.

I am very concerned about the up and coming violence surrounding this election no matter who wins.....Two legged wildlife running amok across this land...

    Good morning Watcherchris,

"Morning" as per my fantastic sleep-cycle)

Had been told this shack of mine was monitored when Dominion Energy, when they were still using the name "VEPCO", placed inside my electric meter their electric measuring meter with a transponder. I know nothing about the tech stuff but understand the concept.

Had heard that the new model refrigerators have something like the electric meter gadget.

    Good morning TexDanm,

    Agree completely.

After DeGaulle removed France from the military portion of NATO, France never completely returned. To this day, France does not participate in the NATO Nuclear Planning Group.

In practical terms they are not an ally of the US.

    ...

Re immigrants, one additional aspect; When an immigrant without official status from US entered the US, the former Administration had programs allowing for certain charitable organizations to help the immigrant. Tis included health care and legal assistance. Some of these """charitable organizations""" are CRS, Red Cross, HIAS, ACLU.

The middle class American public was indirectly funding aforesaid organizations and getting long-term welfare cases arriving in our cities.

If there is any happy moment in all of this, we preppers prepped. As in past tense.

We warned all listening ears to get ready back when prices and availabilies were sane. Now witness the insanity.

The time is passed to become proficient with weaponry if one is a novitiate. And how is it that a new prepper can spend range time? The public ranges are awash with unsafe firearm owners. And, new firearm owner is hard-pressed to purchase the ammo needed to become in any way proficient. Don't get me wrong, I do believe that some new firearm owners are going to be able to kill those who attack their homes. I am made joyful in that there are going to be many trash people killed. However, the truth remains that many new gun owners will be overwhelmed with the masses of vermin scampering down their streets in the former USA. Had the citizens been truly prepared, the streets would become rivers of the blood of the aggressor scum. Were they prepped, such citizens would not be lost. But prepared they are not.

We who have prepped cannot morn mightily the coming deaths of the unprepared. Many who are going to perish are full of pride, unprepared gamblers they are. My dad and his brothers ate their breakfast, literally. That which they gambled away from their children paid for my breakfasts, my clothing.

Ancient Greek tragedies are rife with the fate of those infected with hubris.

    https://www.billboard.com/articles/business/touring/9481166/ticketmaster-vaccine-check-concerts-plan

"Monday's news that pharmaceutical company Pfizer's early results on a new COVID-19 vaccine showed a 90% efficacy rate on an initial clinical trial have given concert professionals hope that the business can start mounting a return in 2021. As part of that preparation, Ticketmaster has been working on a framework for post-pandemic fan safety that uses smart phones to verify fans' vaccination status or whether they've tested negative for the coronavirus within a 24 to 72 hour window.

"Many details of the plan, which is still in development phase, will rely on three separate components -- the Ticketmaster digital ticket app, third party health information companies like CLEAR Health Pass or IBM's Digital Health Pass and testing and vaccine distribution providers like Labcorp and the CVS Minute Clinic."

Only the fully prepared prepper will be able to reject the mark and still survive . Without the ability to buy anything from a store or sell anything , or hold a job will spell doom for a half a--ed prepper . --- To be fair though , I doubt but only a handful of people on the planet today could survive indefinitely without outside help especially if their family was also included in the survival plan .

Those who've not yet prepped are SOL.

In the world of my childhood, items were paid for in cash -- especially black market. One person from whom I used to buy survival supplies (35-ish years ago) got busted for non-payment of state sales taxes. He'd occasionally pay sales taxes to keep from immediately getting busted. I didn't mind paying the state taxes, just so long as my "cash and carry" didn't have my name anywhere. It's best to be "customer X". My dad kept Federal gambling licenses on his machines that were in illegal operation for our state. Can't mess with the Feds. I'll never do it. State congressmen used to be easy to pay off -- especially if was a pooled crew doing the greasing. Paying off the Feds? No, no, no -- not unless you're family to a Federal congressman.

i could probably go a few years with what i've stored and the seeds i have(i'd have to guard the garden though 24/7) and even though there are some deer nearby hunting would be a no no within the city limits so no meat may be in our futures

Hunting deer when it's too close to civilization: Whip out your archery tackle, man! Send a broad-head into its heart. Neck shots can cut the carotid arteries.

Post SHTF, use leg traps. The deer goes to sqawlin in your back yard its leg snapped and all -- go out and beat it to death / cut its throat.

If the neighbors go indignant on you, threaten to cut their throats. The neighbors were terrified of my mom's dad. We used to use a steep bank in a neighbor's yard as a backstop when sighting-in. We shot across a road. We were shooting straight towards their home which was above the bank. But nobody, I mean nobody, would've ever said anything to Pap ... including me. My dad was one fireplug of a man, but one day, Pap knocked him out cold. Pap had been raised a mountain man (far, far beyond simple poverty; meat on the table meant that you'd wrung its neck or had shot it) and thus the man could go feral at the drop of a hat. Add alcohol and it'd be best to leave the county. When he moved down out of the mountains into our small town, that behavior-set got him in trouble, got him arrested (once when he was well over 70 -- me, when he told me about that little run-in, it was all that I could do to stifle a gut-laugh; when he was 90 and dying, it was all that I could do to hold him down in bed when he'd go a little crazy -- stout as an ox unto death).

An antlered buck could be a problem should its leg locate a trap. Don't get gored while doing any throat-slicing. Just a little doe can head-butt you and break your face, so watch out. I had to watch my p's & q's one night in the parking lot (living in the MidWest at the time) -- I was getting off work and happened not to have one of my deer rifles slung over my shoulder, go figure. So, a 6-pointer starts staring me down in the parking lot. I wasn't killed. However, it'd been one of those 10/11 hr. days and so I sure was angry as all git-out.

There are lots of wild deer in the UK, there are too many and they are ripping the trees to shreds, I saw a piece in an online paper about eating more venison and there were the usual comments about "oh I couldnt eat Bamby!" I've even had it said to me by a grown man, go figure.
where we used to live the deer would come right up to the town boundary, here they are in the woods and sometimes the sheep fields.

Deer are killed by cars in downtown Des Moines, Iowa.

As far back as like 10+ years ago, there were approx 40,000 automobile accidents caused by deer walking out into traffic -- this in the state of Pennsylvania alone. Those numbers continue to rise. Pennsylvania is going more and more urban and thus generating soft/weak people, that in turn means that there are an insufficient deer hunters to control the ever-increasing deer population. Maybe Pennsylvania needs to increase the number of wolf and feral dog packs.

In many US states, feral dogs kill more deer than do humans. Now there is a pretty future, dogs ripping apart children playing outdoors.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fatal_dog_attacks_in_the_United_States

"Fatal dog attacks in the United States cause the deaths of about 30 to 50 people in the US each year, and the number of deaths from dog attacks appears to be increasing. Around 4.5 million Americans are bitten by dogs every year, resulting in the hospitalization of 6,000 to 13,000 people each year in the United States"

By what mechanism will the English kill off these excess deer?

Are the English hoarding high-power rifle ammunition, hoarding buckshot and shotgun slugs? How many deer stalkers ("stalkers" in England; "hunters" in USA) are there in England? The socialist government gods are doing a pretty good job of reducing the sport of stalking/hunting via legislation and government school propaganda (socialist propaganda in American government schools is also rampant/universal). Are there laws in England concerning how much ammunition one is allowed to keep in ones home? American communists have been trying forever to impose "arsenal" laws.

    Here in The States:
    https://www.reference.com/pets-animals/many-deer-killed-hunters-year-fab749d4a2d19830
"On average, more than 6 million deer are killed by hunters in the United States per year, while approximately 10 million Americans hunt deer each year. In addition, more than 1.5 million deer are killed by automobiles every year."

Again, how will English people kill-off these long-legged "cute" rodents?

So, the deer will overpopulate, surpass the carrying-capacity of the land, and starve en masse, is that what you're saying?

Well, that sure can/does happen. No question as to the existence of that dark phenomenon. Happens to deer and people.

Urban areas have ZERO carrying-capacity. If the Heartlanders of any nation get angry enough, they'll just get loony-tunes and cut-off the cities. Farmers can grow food for their own families and when the banks send their foreclosure agents, those agents will end up buzzard food (the local deputies in America will side with the farmers, many deputies here have agricultural families).
