    I like it........a thought I have is what about indexing the seat 180 degrees, so the long leg is in the rear. Would keep it from wanting to tip over to the rear, and get that leg out of the way of foot placement.

    Junk is always useful, never know what you'll find a use for it, especially after SHTF.

    I haven't been on that many, but every tractor I have been on had that type of seat, and it was the most comfortable seat on the planet. Whoever designed that was a genius. Probably an old farmer who had spent a lot of time on a tractor.

    Nicely done. Always fun to find something useful in the junk pile.

      Not so comfortable when they're wet or its 25 below freezing. Iron seats suck your body heat right out of your backside when it's cold or burn when they've been in full sun. Probably why they ended up in the back of a barn.
