As inflation escalates across the board we are seeing people becoming aware of the worsening economy . They in turn buy an extra can of beans or two , some extra batteries and toliet paper and declare they are prepared for the upcoming hard times . In fact they are clueless as to where the economy is heading . Even on the government controlled news media some are beginning to realize the wonderful fantasy world they were promised by politicans ain't materializing as promised . --- This would be a good thing if it wasn't for these clueless new on the wagon trying to tell the preppers that saw this coming years and likely decades ago how and what they need to do . This kind of arrogant ignorance is what makes serious preppers just want to fade into obscurity and let the ignorant find out the hard way their gross miscalculation . Your opinion ?

In the U.S. under Trump the economy was booming . Now 7 months into communism we are beginning to see the result . Inflation at a high that hasn't been see for 13 years . Help wanted signs at businesses all over the place because with the socialist style government money handouts , people simply quite going to work . Businesses for the most part are stagnant or are closing . You see very few businesses opening up . This is just the opposite the U.S. was experiencing under Trump . Then businesses were opening and expanding and hiring . Yes then to there was a huge amount of help wanted signs up but they were up for a opposite reason . --- Gasoline , food and electric bills are up and will be climbing at an ever accelerating pace . The clueless just woke prepper may be in for a shock . Most still just don't understand the scope of things .

Trump inherited a booming economy from Obama who had kick started it, now the economy has been kicked in the teeth by a global pandemic so its not surprising all is not on the up and up. Biden is not filling me with confidence but I think we need to see how things are panning out in a couple of years time on a global scale before we start to panic.

At the rate inflation is climbing, in just a couple of years we will look like VZ. Every week I am seeing an increase in fuel prices, about 5 cents per gallon increase on average. Those increases are directly attributable to Biden and his administration. The only way the NEW Green Deal" can become viable is if you drive the fossil fuel cost through the roof. How to accomplish that task, go from being Fossil fuel self sufficient (During Trump Administration) to stopping the exploration of oil and the oil pipeline (Biden Administration). Next kill the job market by imposing much higher minimum wages and also add $300 (PER WEEK)to the unemployment payout. The unskilled labor people now makes more money sitting on their azzes at home, than they ever did working. If you can train somebody to do a job in less that 120 hours, they are unskilled, to say the least. And of course, last but certainly not least, spend like a drunken sailor, with a credit, on shore leave. In other words, the government continues to spend money they don't have and won't be able to generate from taxes on the corporations and the rich. When you tax a corporation, all you are really doing is taxing the consumer. Simple economics says any tax increase on any company will simply be passed onto their consumers. The poor consumers will not be able to pay the higher prices, so the middle class consumer is going to foot the bill. As for taxing the rich, they will simply shift their tax liability to a legal tax dodge write off or move to a lower tax country or both. If the Democrats are so sure their new tax schemes will produce the trillions of dollars needed to pay for their (Pie IN THE SKY) free everything plan, why don't they implement the taxes and wait to collect the money BEFORE spending the money.

Last word, Trump did not inherit a booming economy. His tax reduction plans created a booming economy. Something the Democrats fought all the way.

A tax is work you do for which you get no decisions or choices on how the monies you earn are spent....no goods or services by your choice.

I don't care what they teach you in schools....a tax is work you do for which you get no goods or services because you get no choices about how your monies or labors are spent.,

Inflation is work you do for which you get no goods or services....no choices....

To those who know.....inflation is correctly called depreciation ....the loss of purchasing power of what is used as money.

Inflation or depreciation is also called......"Disguised Taxation" and correctly so.

You are being taxed twice. That is why many people are angry about the effects of inflation.

This is one of those disguised secrets your government does not want you ever to know or understand.....and our education system as well as our MSM are in on the hoax and part of the coverup such that you never fully realize you are being taxed twice.

This kind of deception is demonic in nature...as it destroys the ability to produce goods and services and causes an economy to go into the toilet bowl along with the very people of a nation.
Inflation destroys the seed corn...how much is left to plant next year....

Over time as you become familiar with the demonic nature of what is going on again and again and again....you realize that you are a competitor in the economy against government largess...used to buy votes to keep and maintain power and control.....to keep people properly herded.

Be warned these inflationary Ishmaelites....and their bondage/silence about what is really going on out here in an economy....and I am talking both Republicans and Democrats both here..

Very true. You can be a chess player for fifty years...don't make you a good chess player and the same applies to prepping, just because you say you have been a prepper for X years does not mean your much better than a newbie who in fact may have better real skills in some areas than the Old Timers.

As a chess player, who has played against Chess Masters, I did learn from them. Youth and modern technology does not replace experience. Gadgets and gizmos are not a viable prepper replacement for acquired knowledge and experience. Learn from the old preppers and gain experience. Example: I use center fire firearms but can and have made black powder from scratch. I buy factory bullets but have the skills AND equipment to cast my own bullets. If you have not actually worked with molten lead and the required equipment, you could be in for a painful learning curve. All the data and info is never going to replace hands on experience. Experience comes from living long enough to gain the experience. Something the young have yet to learn.

There was no recovery under puppet, Barry Soetoro's occupation of the White House. Adolescents go for smoke, mirrors, and a parties financed by Mommy and Daddy.

    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/...ecovery-printing-money-enslaves-middle-class/

"A real recovery, sufficient to begin healing the enormous damage to our workforce and pull government debt out of its death spiral, would be obvious. We wouldn’t have economists peering at spreadsheets with electron microscopes to detect it. Why should anyone celebrate an economy that leaves most workers with declining wages and a growing burden of debt?

"Even left-wingers agree, uncomfortably, that “income inequality” got much worse under Obama, as the rich got richer, while the poor… didn’t. Left-wing analysts will tie themselves in knots trying to shift blame away from Obama and his policies for this state of affairs, with arguments that boil down to “this proves we need even more central planning and socialism to make everybody equal!”

"Much of the debate over the maybe-recovery concerns the manipulation of government reports: the sense our vast bureaucracy is cooking the books to make the economy look more robust than it really is. A persistent complaint concerns the way inflation has been hidden, or almost redefined out of existence."

The whole point of my statement just flew over your head LOL You can experience things without learning from them whether you've experienced it for a week or a decade. It is possible to experience AND learn in a week or a decade.

I give respect to others not based on age or the BS they spout but at how good they are with the skills in their hands, how they apply them. I've met and worked with younger people not in the job that long who run rings around an older person with years of 'experience' because they listen and learn and the older fella who assumes he knows it all because he's been in the job for years and I'm confident this applies to prepping too...it has to because it applies everywhere else in life.

that is your opinion and you are entitled to it.
in every job I ever had it was the older people I learned from not the youngsters who just thought they knew it all. that applies more so now than when I was working.
thats why we had apprenticeships so people could LEARN how to do the job, not spout drivel.

    Income inequality....LOL LOL LOL LOL.......Income Inequality....how laughable...that is..

This is a type of "Wealth Redistribution."

The reason it did not work ...is that they were working towards []b"Wealth Redistribution"[/b].

The problem they could not solve and even bring to the public awareness..is that the "Wealth Redistribution" for which they were promoting was not "Risk Redistribution."

People earn their monies by taking certain risks....by work...risk taking.

Only government can be so giftedly and naturally stupid as to take from some and give it to others without the risks needed to earn it.

This is why there was no economic recovery and our leadership and their pimping MSM avoided this.

What government tries to do is scam people to get votes on the cheap..with someone else taking the risks for it.

This is still going on right now....today.

Vote buying schemes on the public purse to lower risks for some at the expense of others.

    Abortion...a vote buying scheme.

Illegal aliens ...a vote buying scheme.

Income Equality....Wealth Redistribution ...a vote buying scheme.

    Gun control...a vote buying scheme.

Over time....all these schemes do is to take from the producing sector and transfer it to the non producing sector for votes....

In short....to put working/risk taking Americans in second, third, and or fourth place to put ointment on someone else's "Feelings" without risks....and for votes.

As a rule ...much knowledge is stored in the minds and souls of the older people....they are the repository....living repository.

There are from time to time ...younger people who come into contact with this knowledge ...and quickly learn to take it to new heights...and uses....plateaus...if you like.

Such an person was a man named John Moses Browning.

Another....was an actress named Hedy Lamar...who invented an early version of Frequency Hopping or Frequency Agility....which is used in todays cell phone technology as well as other more sophisticated uses.

LOL LOL LOL...you know ..now that I recall the history.....

When someone decided to bring back the Olde Battleships out of mothball...they had to look up what living crewmembers they could find... to re learn how to operate many of those olde systems on board. Many of todays youngsters could not even handle the Tech Manuals written back then.

Many young folk can run circles around their seniors when it comes to techno-specifics and in realms of the minutia. When it comes to understanding the "big picture" however, companies and armies go to their senior staff.

Residents are often far more knowledgeable of the literature than the attending physician on any given ward. However, when it comes to saving the life of one of your loved ones, you want the elder attending physician to be there in the room.

In this world, things go wrong, violently wrong. The oldererer the people, the more wrongererer events they've personally witnessed. What cannot conceivably go wrong, they've seen go wrong.

In 1945 a Ford owner's manual told you how to adjust the valves. Today it tells you not to drink the acid in the battery.

Is there not something similar going on with Tide detergent??? Doesn't affect me as I do no use Tide.

I saw some kind of Tide detergent....that the cashier had to unlock the detergent for the customer in front of me from a small lock box as the customer paid for it...at a grocery store.

I was surprised...a bit taken back by this.

I reckon I need to get out more.....well....maybe ..not!!!

Some of the remarks on this thread only goes to reinforce the opening post . Preppers think for themselves , sheeple will follow crap the government shovels to them through the televised or any other propaganda distribution means . This gives a bad image to any visiting potential quality members .
