Good for England! How exceptional. Lucky you!

    Sure isn't so in America.

America has a larger population, the land mass is much larger and you have more big cities.
I can only speak for my part of the UK, most of my county and none of the next county west has any motorways, even the main highways arent that large and any travel can take a long time especially in the summer holiday months. criminals generally want to get in fast, do the crime then leave the area as fast as possible without being caught, I am no criminal but I dont think this is possible with our rural roads full of farming machinery, horse riders and slow moving traffic. there are easier places to go.

Just looking at UK stats for burglaries and there are around 800 a day and most occur during the day between 10am and 3pm, maybe the nasty people are frightened of the dark.

LW is correct, the SW of England has the lowest crime rates but I was very surprised to see the West Midlands not far behind it and Yorkshire having the highest crime rates.

Interesting that even with the knife crimes in the UK and London described in the US as a 'War Zone', London is in fact safer than any major city in the USA.

the nasty people arent so much afraid of the dark as they cant get out of their pits that early!!
I'm surprised about the West Midlands , but not so about Yorkshire, Oldham and Rochdale are nearby and grooming is still rife, I expect Yorkshire sees its fair share of farm thefts too.

American cities that have the same demographics as Europe have the same crime rates as recorded in Europe. The rate of firearms ownership has zero impact; indeed, in America, those populations who have the highest firearms ownership rates have the lowest crime rates. The firearms aren't the primary reason that crime rates are low among these people; the real reason is that these people are not given to violent behavior in the first place.

The demographics of rural England are such that one has little to worry about. People of this ilk are not given to loss of behavioral control.

If one lives where the people are poor at controlling their emotions and resulting behaviors, then that person had best ready themselves for the possibility of unfortunate events.

Most of America's urban areas are filled with people who are given to poor self-discipline and who are known to exhibit aggressive tendencies.

In European cities where aggressive cultures are moving in, the crime rates head upwards. There was a time when Sweden never had hand-grenade and assault rifle attacks -- that has now changed.

there is a reason why in England we see protests and sometimes riots in cities and not rural areas, its where most of the population lives, now 80% of people live in urban areas and when people live in such crowded places tempers are bound to fray, snowflakes are afraid of everything and anything and "kick off" at the slightest excuse. the left and the woke are urban animals.
country people are more placid and tolerant and are at peace with their surroundings.

As things go worse in Western nations, we will see more and more home invasions. So, here are some videos concerning defending one's home against invasion.

This lady was the victim of a home invasion. Luckily she was not raped nor seriously injured. The same crew who invaded her home continued their criminal career and ended up committing murder. The lady in this video was able to identify the perpetrators. Thing about this invasion was that this was a nice neighborhood and the perpetrators began by knocking at the door. Often, home invasions begin with a knock at the door, NOT the door being kicked down.

Class in home defense against an invasion by robbers / perverts / murderers / whoever ...

A fellow tried to get into our house by knocking (it was 3am) -- I had a shotgun, I explained the condition of his world to him, and he left. I didn't open the door. I didn't have to shoot. But I guess he could tell from the tone of my voice or whatever that I have zero qualms about ending the life of things like him. Just because something dirty passes for human has little meaning to me.

I have a complete system that will deal with home invaders. I have two yappy dogs that nobody is going to get by without them raising cain. a sleep with a handgun in the headboard of my bed and a 12 ga riot gun beside the bed. Problem solved. I also have a big Maglite that is blinding so I know who I'm shooting. There will not be any stickem up from me. If you are in my house I'm not taking any chances. It won't be any better if you are caught coming out of any of my three shops. The oustside is watched over by three big border collies. They are not any danger but they will wake up the world if a stranger invades their space. My and my Daughter's place is fenced and the dogs have doggie doors so are in and out all night. They have almost three fenced acres to play in at night. Everyone in my family is armed and know how to shoot.

I actually have a liking for pump 12 ga shotguns for home defence. Centerfire Rifle bullets can go through a lot of sheatrock walls and maybe hit your neighbors house. Besides that a load of shot in the chest at in house distances is a KILLER instantly. I don't even load buckshot for in house defence. I shot a dog that was attacking me one time with a 20 ga shotgun with 6 shot. He was only 8 or 10 feet away and it nearly blew him in two!!! At close ranges it hits as a single small mass that then goes all over hell inside of them. If I shoot you I want you down and DEAD!!! I have no mercy on anyone that would attack my family or home. I will shoot you at least twice if I can.

My preference is a semi-auto shotgun for home defense. I tend to lean towards the mag fed variety. As a game / experience test, the wife and I both got a pump action nerf shotgun (toy). During out home shootouts, we both experienced " Short Cycling" of the pump action, in our excitement to get off our shots at each other. I would imagine the same issue would be even more prevalent during a REAL life home invasion scenario. I am considering the CITADEL BOSS 25 SEMI-AUTO 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN. Very reasonable price and very good reviews. If any here have experience or knowledge about this shotgun, please do not hesitate to comment. The slide racking as a deterrent /warning is not even part of my consideration for a shotgun. I don't plan to ever warn or attempt to scare off an intruder. I plan to terminate them with extreme prejudice.

OK, so I'm the quintessential land-lubber; however, there is just something wonderful about the look of a marine shotgun. I like the nickel, the brushed nickel, and the stainless-steel marine shotguns. They look great and they resist rust. And if you are in the Caribbean, you'd better have a weapon to defend your crew against those who wish to steal your ship. On land, drug dealers and armed robbers carjack vehicles. In the open waters, drug dealers steal all manner of sea-going ships and smaller vessels. Pirates are alive and well here in the 21st century. And shoot, these shotguns are great for home defense.

Me, I'd buy one because it was pretty.

    Home invasion defense

Be ready to shoot in a moment's notice:

Do not shoot if it is unnecessary. Don't expose yourself outside if you can help it -- you do not know if your attacker has comrads out there -- you could be walking into an ambush.

The victims were homeowners ages 72 and 77, according to WISN-TV. At one point, an 'armed neighbor' ran the gunman off, WISN reported."

Good video's. Being prepared is what prepping is all about. Chambered and ready to hand is the prudent method to carrying a firearm. Situational awareness is also required. Muggers and home invaders do not make appointments. Surprise is always on the criminals side. Your reaction time is the main factor on your side. Planning ahead regarding what you will do and practicing will buy you the time to properly react.

Many home invasions occur when people are coming home. This is especially true if they are using their garage door opener.

In one city where I lived outside town 20+ miles, this happened to two sets of mother & daughters arriving home. The women were tortured, robbed and raped. The guilty parties were inner city gang members out on the prowl in the suburbs.

Home Defence is also about limiting a criminals access to your home, using fences, walls and thorny bushes to funnel invasion into a narrow area where they can be contained and dealt with.
updating windows and doors so they are more resistant to being tampered with.
in some cases residential alarms and even CCTV may be required depending on the crimes relevant to the area.

Very good points of information. Humans tend to take the least path of resistance. Rose bushes growing under windows, not only look nice when they bloom but act as a deterrent to unwanted visitors.

There are some trees and bushes in Australia that have poisonous thorns on them. Don't think I'd want those. One can always let the dog out. Our dog bites. It sure isn't all bark, but its alertness, though frustrating at times, is valuable. It barks, I pick up or drop the nearest gun in my pocket -- if there isn't one in my pocket anyway. If the dog goes nuts at an unexpected hour, then I head for the pump/buckshot thingy. We know the timing of the mailman. The dog wants to chew through the door to get to him.

"An alleged intruder was fatally shot Thursday morning in Houston, Texas, after entering a home and opening a bedroom door.

"Police indicated the homeowner was sleeping on the second floor when he heard glass break. The alleged intruder then entered the home, came upstairs, opened the bedroom door, and the homeowner shot him in the neck.

In Britain if the homeowner was the legitimate owner of a firearm and could give a good reason as to why it was close to hand then there is no reason why they shouldn’t use a firearm to defend themselves if they were genuinely in fear for their life, of course in Britain it is most likely to be a double barrel shotgun, owned as a sporting firearm and not necessarily meant for home defence. To have a defence in law there cannot be any premeditation on the part of the home owner but having a shotgun cabinet in your bedroom is obviously going to be a secure place to keep it (meaning it is legitimately “to hand”)

dont always need a gun, a burglar was shot by a female householder with a pistol crossbow, he staggered off down the road with the bolt protruding from his guts, never to be heard of again.

      And, good for her.
Preppers often overlook archery tackle. Mistake. Quiet & deadly. Love my bow. Would like to get a newer one. Archery practice strengthens one's back muscles. Strong back muscles reduce back injuries -- muscle tone holds the spine in its proper shape. Physical therapy exercises mirror the stretching of the archery bow. The self-same muscles are used and I do mean exactly the same muscles. Kill two birds with one stone ... or rather, arrows.

Know that the good guys do actually win. Many times they win. Your efforts to protect your family are not in vain. Practice practice practice with your firearm. Run through scenarios in your home that will train you and your family what to do if the sanctity of your home is violated by aggressors. You all should have a "safe room" to which you gather. A phone must be with you. Pick the room with the best cover should the felon open fire. Someone should be calling the police while another readies the weapon to fire on the felon. Know the current location of each and every family member before you engage the enemy.

The one SURE rule that I have is that if I have to shoot you I am GOING to make sure that you are dead. That way there will be only ONE story told when the law shows up. I know a man that shot an intruder inside his home one night. When the law showed up he swore that he was just there talking and they got in an argument and he got shot. I guess the law had to take it seriously and investigate it but it was a just massive pain in the ass and eventually he had to get an atourny to straighten it out. It was bull crap. The thief had a long ugly record and outstanding warants. Maybe the cop had a fight with his wife and was in a crap mood... Whatever, criminals are well rehersed liars and cops are lied to so much they don't believe anybody. One story is the way to go. In Texas you have the right to use lethal force to protect you home.

I have one rule: trust no one, most people are liars and if their on your property without permission or invitation they are up to no good. I keep trying to tell this to cold callers but they wont listen, post SHTF they'd better watch out because I'm not going to explain myself first or even speak, actions speak louder than words, or so I'm told!!!

I fixed the in person ones with a sign warning that I shoot trespassers and then will shoot survivors again. There hasn't been a single person try me out on this since I put up the sign.

Our 80lb dog lunges for the door, going semi-berserk. It's deep bark let's anyone at the door know that it is large and unhappy. It is often my wife and crippled son who walk the dog. Only I have the strength to hold it back.

In a home invasion (that would first trip our electronic security), the dog would attack and give us a tad more time to deploy the handgun (wife) and shotgun (me, or I've often got a chopped 9 in my pocket, I'm a night person).

Got a sign on property saying I have an electronic security system. I do not have a sign concerning my propensity to go violent. Pre-SHTF / for legal reasons, you shouldn't post/display such. In liberal states, lawyers seek-out felons who have been injured by people who possess assets. Even if their act of defense is deemed legal, the person defending the home can be sued. In liberal states, this has worked to redistribute wealth to aggressive inferior people. Doesn't work in States still part of the true America. I live in a conservative area, but still ...

    A happy ending

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/philadel...ls-home-intruder-impersonating-police-officer

"A Philadelphia resident flipped the script on an accused home intruder impersonating a police officer Sunday, shooting and killing the suspect while sending his accomplice running from the scene.

"The incident happened just after 10 p.m. in the 7200 block of Battersby Street in the Mayfair neighborhood of north Philadelphia. A 25-year-old man told investigators two male suspects approached him outside the duplex and claimed to be police officers. They then forced their way inside, placed zip ties on the victim and started to threaten his life and demand money, police said.

"The 25-year-old managed to free his hands and reach for a gun in his pocket. He fired toward the accused home intruders, striking one of them three times. Officers from the 15th District who responded to the scene found a man outside the front doorway with gunshot wounds to the head, chest and arm.

"Small said the man had a fake police badge strung around his neck. He was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:19 p.m., Fox 29 Philadelphia reported.

"The second suspect fled from the scene, and police were still looking to identify him. Police said it did not appear the second suspect was struck by the gunfire, according to WPIV.

"Police said the deceased suspect was also found with a gun and zip ties in his possession. Investigators recovered that weapon, as well as the gun from the 25-year-old victim. "

    ------------------------------------------

Post-SHTF, many aggressors will pose as authorities. Something to keep in mind.

"Follow-home" robberies are getting to be popular in Amerika, especially L.A.. Few people in major cities have carry permits and the professional felons know it.

This particular gang used a luxury SUV to conduct their chosen trade.

"LAPD Investigating Coldwater Canyon Follow-Home Robbery"

    https://beverlyhillscourier.com/2022/04/22/lapd-investigating-coldwater-canyon-follow-home-robbery/

Quotes from this article are in the color Blue:

In a continuation of an alarming trend in Los Angeles, four men visiting from Northern California were followed to an Airbnb on Coldwater Canyon Drive and robbed at gunpoint. Suspects made off with goods and cash worth an estimated $20,000, according to police.

The four victims were visiting Los Angeles for a birthday celebration and staying at an Airbnb rental property. They left a restaurant around 1:30 a.m. in the Beverly Grove area and told police they felt they were being followed.

They say they spotted a luxury SUV following them and didn’t go directly to their rental property. Instead, they drove until they said they lost the SUV following them, then returned to the Airbnb.

However, when the victims parked their car in the driveway and got out, they say they were robbed by three suspects armed with guns. The suspects stole the property they had on them in the driveway and proceeded to take the four men into the home at gunpoint.

The incident represents yet another data point in the trend of so-called follow-home or follow-off robberies targeting wealthy Angelenos. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) reported a total of 221 follow-home robberies up to April 11.

Law enforcement took notice of the trend in early 2021, noting that victims were regularly followed from locations frequented by high net worth-individuals, such as Melrose Avenue, the Jewelry District, and high-end restaurants and nightclubs. LAPD claimed that suspects targeted victims based on their jewelry or cars.

LAPD Captain John Tippet, the commanding officer of the Robbery-Homicide Division and head of the Follow Home Task Force, told the LAPD Board of Police Commissioners on April 12 that “this is a phenomenon that, prior to last year, was almost unheard of.”

“In the month of September and October, we monitored a pattern of increased robberies that included multiple vehicles and multiple armed suspects working in a coordinated effort to rob victims of their high-end cars and or jewelry,” Tippet said. “In my 34 years in the LAPD, I had never seen this type of criminal behavior in such large groups coordinating to conduct attacks on unsuspecting citizens to take their property and/or vehicles.”

Following the formation of the task force in November, LAPD began making arrests. As of April 12, the task force had made four murder arrests, six attempted murder arrests, and 24 robbery arrests involving 47 robberies.

Tippet said the task force has identified 17 gangs involved in the surge of robberies, though he could not say how many incidents had connections to specific gangs.
    ---------------------------

Not in the above incident, but for other robberies, the police have made some arrests. The robbers in this series of arrests not only robbed their victims, but also murdered them. The following news article covers that story and lists the names and photos of the suspects:

    https://www.canyon-news.com/suspects-arrested-in-follow-home-robberies/153592

    Quotes in color Blue:

    -Jayon Sanders, 21 years old, 187 PC/Murder, bail $2,490,000

    -Abraham Castillo, 20 years old, 187 PC/Murder, bail $2,050,000

    -Tyree Singleton, 20 years old, 187 PC/Murder, bail $2,050,000

    -Joshua Saulsberry, 21 years old, 211 PC/Robbery, bail $160,000

In early 2021, Los Angeles Police Department Robbery-Homicide Division, Robbery Special Section, identified an ongoing crime trend of follow-home robberies. Suspects would target victims in Los Angeles, follow them, and then commit the robberies as the victims were arriving home or to their business. As a result of this, RHD detectives began to track the various robberies that were being reported.

Victims were being followed from such places like Melrose Avenue, the Jewelry District of Los Angeles, high-end restaurants, and nightclubs from Hollywood and Wilshire Area and were targeted based on the jewelry they were wearing and/or the car they were driving.

To date, RHD detectives have identified over 110 incidents. In reviewing these reports and speaking with area detectives, it is clear that not all these incidents are related, in terms of the same suspects committing these crimes.

This conclusion is based in part on the suspects background (in those cases were arrests have been made or suspects identified) and their gang affiliations. It should be noted out of the 110 incidents being tracked, 107 involve suspects identified as Black males. In three of the cases, the suspects are identified as Hispanic males.

RHD identified and assumed the investigative responsibility of several series. In these series, at least six different LA street gangs have been identified.

The crime trend experienced is similar to a year or two ago with the “knock-knock” burglaries in which different crews/gangs participated in the same type of residential burglary.

I have lived out in the country for the last 40 or so years. We have occasionally heard of a few problems but they were usually just kids being kids and not dangerous criminal activity.

The thing about rural East Texas is that we are almost 100% armed and hunters with an atitude that means that we WILL happily shoot your ass. Even kids are not exempt from this so they learn early on not to mess with other peoples things. LOL. A cousin and I got shot with rock salt for riding a guys horses without permission. By the time we got back to my Grandmother's house our Dads were on the back porch waiting on us. He had called them. They laughed their butts off because that mean old fart had blasted them too when they were about our age.

Home invasion here is giving the home owner a liscense to kill you. I WILL kill you without more than a moments hesitation to make sure that I don't know you. A 12 ga shotgun at in the house distances makes a real mess out of you. You don't need buck shot because the lead pellets are still mostly one mass at things that are that close. Beware of usuning a rifle for in house defence. Even a little 22 LR will go through several interior walls before losing power if it only has to go through paneling or sheetrock. Hell, a deer rifle can go through all the walls in a house and into a neighbors house!!!

When I lived in town there was an idiot that went wild with an AK-47 and half the houses in his neighborhood ended up with holes in them. He was fortunate that nobody was hurt. THAT was when I switched totally to shotguns with #4 bird shot in them for IN house protection. The pump Mossenburg beside the front door is the only exception. It has altrnating two #4 buckshot and then one slug then two 00 buckshot and then a slug. The sound of me racking the slide to get the first round in the chamber is ALL the warning that you will get. The one beside my bed is ready to go with no need to rack the slide.

we here are also too far out of the cities to be bothered by any kind of serious criminal activity, most "crimes" are domestic in nature, we had the odd robbery in the area, the local small filling station got robbed when it was closed, mostly they were after cigarettes and alcohol, that happened a couple of times during the 13 years we have been here, but not for some time.
    its very quiet here.

Here are some home-invasion defense tips.

In this first video, we witness the son opening the front door when he hears a knock . Gee whiz folks, don't do that! If it is a robbery, the robbers use a person who looks harmless to knock. You open the door, then they come out of hiding and rush-in over the top of you. I like the idea of them not even being on the property, much less them being able to rush the door. Here's another point, robbers can get you to check the front door while they plan on busting through the back door or an unprotected window. Many front doors have a huge glass pane. They are pretty. The glass could have patterns cut into it; be opaque-ish; however, the bad guys can see you coming to the door = you're dead.

If someone is already inside your home and doesn't run away when told to do so, then shoot them. You are being played. Don't get played. They are trying to get closer to you for their attack. Can't reason with a felon, duh!

Don't give away your position if things have gone code red. Do not pursue felons running away. Let them run away. The police can't be there when citizens are attacked, however they CAN pursue suspected felons. Let them do their job.

When police arrive, they are NOT your friends. If you still have a weapon in your hands, hopefully you realize that this could get you shot. How could the deputies know who you are?! Police arrive, drop your weapon, show them the palms of your hands. If they tell you to lie face-down, do it. Again, they haven't a clue as to who you are.

You can give the police information about the fleeing felons; however, do NOT discuss what all happened, especially if you fired your weapon. You MUST have your attorney present when they take you to the station/jail. You are going to be taken in / arrested. From there, call your attorney or have family do so for you.

OK, so in many places in the heartlands, the sheriff and his deputies may actually be primo people / great folk and competent with their firearms. Not true everywhere. City cops often had never owned a firearm before joining the force. You likely may take your firearm as an extension of your hand -- your brain has incorporated it as part of its body image. I've been a shooter since age 12. Do not assume this is true of the deputy or street cop. They may be new to firearms. This is why we witness in so many police shootings, the officer dumping his/her handgun magazine into the felon. Don't you ever do that either, firing all ammo in the magazine. Directed/aimed fire is the only shots that count. "Spraying and praying" leaves you having to reload -- which could be fatal if the attacking felon has friends (gang-bangers always do) -- and you could easily hurt innocents, even shoot your dang dog ... or your foot ... and then there is the matter of ricochets.

Never think that felonious attacks can't happen to you. Did you plan the car accident(s) you had?! The time you lost your footing while hiking -- did you plan that?!

I found these videos interesting. While watching these, note the links to other videos of the same ilk shown on the web page.

I will state up front that in some things I am not very bright. I decided a long time ago that I will never die on my knees. If you point a gun at me you had better be ready to shoot me because I'm probably NOT going to be very compliant. If you want my cash I might give it to you but under no circumstance will I allow you to tie me up or control me other than through threats. I had a friend many years ago that came home and caught a thief in his house. He and his wife did as they were told and let him tie them up. My friend got loose and when the guy started to rape his 9 year old daughter he came up. The man killed him and then finished with his daughter and shot her. The wife never knew why he didn't kill her. She often wished that he had. She lived in fear for the rest of her life and didn't live very long. Not suicide really ,she just didn't care anymore and died from pneumonia. I WILL die before I will allow someone to do that to me.

A majority of people imagine that criminals are the actors they see on television and in movies acting bad. The "educated" often become born-again secular humanists and blame society for creating felons, "They were oppressed."

People who've seen true hideousness, true "I don't care" animal violence, become true adults and understand why these sub-humans deserve zero Mercy. In the next world, God shows them no mercy. Their souls fall away. If we remove them from our world, know that our Creator created within us the ability to remove the hideous things from our world.

When confronted with aggressors, do anything you need to do to protect your family and yourself.

If the monsters get shot, they get shot. If the monsters get stabbed in the groin and bleed to death, then they bleed to death. If they burn to death, they burn to death. We should protect children from unpleasant things.

Never feel guilt over removing things that feel no guilt.

I am seldom more than a arms reach from a weapon and it is my full intention to kill anyone that tries to rob or harm me or any of my family. I don't look at that as me killing them so much as them using me to commit suicide. Their bad and not my problem. No guilt and no lost sleep...

Got a toy in my pocket right now.
    Some think preppers are paranoid.
No we're not. It's just that we've seen raw evil in action.
Down the road, I've watched/heard the low-breeds fight each other.
Don't bring that my way, or else.
One prepares. One can never gamble on misfortune staying out of their life.

I usually at least have a North American mini-revolver in my pocket. I call it "Ear Floss"... It's bark is almost worse than its bite but it is easy to carry and works well for snakes. It is all stainless steel so I carry it when i am fishing as well as for just general carry. I used to carry a 38 over/under derringer but someone offered me about three times what it was worth so I let them have it. I sort of regretted selling it. It was a cold gun that if I used it I could wipe it down lay it on the body and it would NEVER come home to me. LOL, It would have come back as destroyed by the Houston Police department THAT is how cold it was.

Yep, mine's a NAA .22 Mag w/1.5" barrel. Painfully loud. I have after-market fat grips on it so as to keep a better hold on it during recoil. To hit "on target" one's gotta use some serious Kentucky windage. Winchester ammo does best. CCI, not.

I spent 40 years living in a city, in public spaces I always sat with my back to a wall and I never did like footsteps coming up behind me, I still dont.
in general though it all about being situationally aware and being alert to what is going on around us, most people are too dumb and have their eyes and ears on their phone screen or have earphones in, thats the ones that get robbed not the people that are aware.

I guess if women alone with their children are aware, they can hear the intruder, then just beat-up that 215 lb. felon. In the movies, we see women bonking guys on the head with a frying pan -- there's true reality, right?! Women are just as big and strong as men, right?! Old people can just beat up intruders, right?! When three career felons break into a residence, any man can take-on these prison-harded fellows, right?! Easy-peasy!

Here is an aware American female using a tool that makes her equal to her family's attacker:

"Homeowner fatally shoots suspect during home invasion in San Antonio, SAPD says"

    https://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local/article/fatal-home-invasion-san-antonio-17136135.php

"A San Antonio homeowner fatally shot a suspect who allegedly broke into a home on the city's Southeast side on Thursday evening, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

"The home invasion occurred just before 10 p.m. in the 600 block of Kashmuir Place, near SouthSide Lions Park and Pecan Valley Drive. The suspect invaded the house by breaking into the laundry room in the back of the home, authorities said.

"Police said a female in her 30s was inside her home with her three children when the male suspect invaded the property. The female resident pulled out a gun after hearing the suspect inside the house. She then shot the intruder in the chest."

    -------------------------

Here is an example of how fed-up, angry, and frustrated are American cops. They lose their funding, yet are still supposed to go out and arrest the career felons. When they do so, some socialist judge turns these monsters right back out onto the streets. When cops defend their lives, the national media swoops-in screaming racism in their perpetual attempts to start riots. Riots are great for the media. Riots give the media a few days worth of air time, during which the media screams their worn-out proven-incorrect dogmas promoting communist.

    https://www.policemag.com/635448/sh...intruders-prompts-reminders-on-armed-citizens

"Earlier this month, a Florida sheriff's remarks at a news conference in which he advised citizens to shoot home intruders—and in so doing, potentially 'save taxpayers' money'—quickly went viral on the Internet, causing critics to claim his comments to be 'wildly irresponsible.'

"As we reported, Santa Rosa County (FL) Sheriff Bob Johnson told local media outlets—that had assembled for a briefing on the arrest of a man suspected on a spree of break-ins and attempted robberies in peoples' homes and back yards—that an unknown person who shot at the suspect is not in any trouble for defending their home.

"'We don't know what homeowner—which homeowner—shot at him,' Johnson said. 'I guess they think they did something wrong, which they did not.'

"Johnson then said that if someone is breaking into a home in his jurisdiction, the homeowner is 'more than welcome to shoot them' and that he—and by extension, his agency—would 'prefer that you do, actually.'

"Johnson added, 'We have a gun safety class we put on every other Saturday. If you take that, you'll shoot a lot better, and hopefully, you'll save taxpayers money.'

"Sheriff Johnson's advice is legally sound—Florida's 'Stand Your Ground' law lets people use deadly force to prevent a forcible felony such as home invasion.

"But perhaps more importantly, Johnson's statements are also tacit commentary on one of the most interesting outcomes of the de-funding and de-policing movement in America—record numbers of Americans are becoming first-time gun owners, and defending themselves against rising crime."

    -----------------------------------------

Aggressive low-life career criminals should live in perpetual fear of being gravely injured or killed. They make life hell for other people. Let them live in hell in this world and the next.

Their lives mean less than nothing.

"Gun crimes grab most media attention, while gun use in self-defense gets merely a fraction: experts"

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/americans-guns-self-defense-thwart-crimes-data

"Americans across the country have used legal guns to defend themselves and thwart crimes, but the reports often fly under the radar and most people are unaware how often guns are used in self-defense cases.

"'Having a gun is by far the safest course of action when people are facing a criminal by themselves,' Dr. John Lott, an economist and president of the Crime Prevention Research Center, told Fox News Digital. He pointed to women in particular, who 'behave passively' and are 'about 2.4 times more likely to end up being seriously injured than a woman who has a gun to protect herself.'

"As crimes skyrocketed in major cities since 2020, instances of women using guns to protect themselves and stop crimes have repeatedly played out.

"Lott said that, in a typical year, the media reports about 2,000 defensive gun use stories, but he added "that is a dramatic under-count, because the vast majority of successful self-defense cases don’t make the news."

"Lott said there are about 2 million defensive gun uses per year, according to the average of 18 national surveys."

"ATLANTA (WGCL/Gray News) - Police in Georgia are investigating after a man was shot several times Sunday by a woman claiming she was being followed.

"According to investigators with Atlanta police, the woman was driving for a ride-hailing company around 11:30 p.m. She had just dropped off a passenger when a man, later identified as 21-year-old Tyriq Qwadere Wiggins-Younger, attempted to use his vehicle to block her from leaving the area.

Why convicted murderers need to be executed:

    https://www.yahoo.com/gma/bright-shining-stars-family-5-004100707.html

"A Texas community is reeling after five members of a Houston-area family were killed in an 'unspeakable' crime.

"Three brothers, their cousin and their grandfather were found murdered at the family's ranch in Centerville, located between Dallas and Houston, on Thursday, authorities said.

"An escaped inmate, who was killed in a shootoff [sic] with police hours after the family's bodies were discovered by law enforcement, is believed to have broken into the home and committed the murders, according to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

"The family's ranch in Leon County was near where the inmate — convicted murderer Gonzalo Lopez, 46 — had escaped three weeks ago.

"Following the discovery of the murders, Atascosa County Sheriff's Office deputies spotted a pickup truck stolen from the ranch that Lopez was believed to be driving. The suspect was killed in an ensuing shootout with law enforcement, authorities said.

"Lopez was serving a life sentence for a capital murder in Hidalgo County and an attempted capital murder in Webb County."

I’m right along side a person having the right to defend their home and property. Most UK households have not got firearms but if they have they are potentially a great leveller when a homeowner is facing a much larger attacker or a number of attackers. That said, it is important to understand the laws in your country/state as they can vary. If you are forced to defend yourself with deadly force it is important to consult a solicitor/attorney before making a statement to police. What you say and the way that you phrase it can have a huge effect on the way you are subsequently treated by the law.
