there was a problem with Avian Flu so chickens had to be kept indoors, therefore eggs could not be labelled "free range", not heard anything about chicken sales but then we buy all our meat straight off the farm .
as for Ukraine grain if the Russians manage to take Odessa they will cut off Ukrainian exports via the Black sea, I'm not sure how much grain the UK buys or bought from Ukraine, I thought most of our grain came from North America.

Even rich Western nations are going to take significant hits. As the old saying goes, "When America gets a cold, the world gets the flu." Could be that America is in for the flu, which means that other countries are going to suffer hell. Russia's invasion of Ukraine is gonna set the world on fire.

all this is of course supposition, nobody knows for real, apart from oil and gas from Russia and Grain from Ukraine , will any shortages be noticed by most people? if retailers cant get it from one place they will just switch suppliers and get it somewhere else, there is one big world out there and most countries can only survive by trading.
Russia will be the ostracised "pariah" state under Putin and the ordinary Russian in the street will suffer but there is only one person they can point the finger at and that is Putin.
And they are already doing that!

Currently, both conservatives and liberals agree that things are going to go bad.

If such folk agree that smoke is in the air, then the house is on fire.

Breadbasket nations are already suffering. There is ZERO speculation that things are going sideways and are going to get catastrophically bad.

Here in the U.S., farmers are getting hit right and left with higher production prices. We WILL NOT be able to take up any slack in food shortages around the planet. The same is VERY true in continental Europe.

This is real. This is happening right now.

The megacities will become huge death traps. there just isn't enough food there to last long when the almost hourly shipments suddenly STOP. Those that run out are going to go after anyone that apears to have food. Most will be wasted when the power goes off. People don't have the stores of canned foods like they used to have. That has been replaced by frozen food. When the power goes off you have a few days to eat it or can it or you will lose it.

IF you want to survive you need to start to think lower on the food chain. The livestock is going to become rare and protected like gold. Besides that without refrigeration you can't deal with a big animal. I should be able feed myself and my family with a BB gun!! Actually I have a couple of really nice pellet rifles that will shoot either BBs or pellets. Honestly those will be worth more than almost any real rifle in a post fall world. They are quiet and perfict for one person type kills for a meal. Mine will kill things up to rabbit size easily. A few thousand even 22 rounds is a lot of weight and cost where a thousand BBs is almost nothing. I save the pellets for the larger animals.

A lot of people in the US are going to find this objectionable but in a post apocolyptic world dogs are going to be a problem UNTIL people start seeing them as a food source as they are in a lot of the Eastern countries. I have had to deal with feral dogs a couple of times and they can be a BIG problem. Coyotes and wolves avoid people and are seldom a threat but dogs don't always act that way. I think that the worst thing that they do is chase and kill things but then don't eat them. They will kill for pleasure. I guess that they learned that from people.

Between a rock and a hard place

In the Eastern U.S., when it hits the fan, surviving urbanites will attempt to head into the Heartland. Within the American heartland live armed people with attitude.

For Californians, the Pacific lies to the west; to the east and south lies desert. The San Joaquin Valley will be instantly overrun and stripped. To the north, lies a logistical funnel ... the tens of millions already living up north will already be in full locust mode.

If the Cascadia Fault lets go, those living on the coasts of Oregon and Washington State will take horrific losses and most will be without power for weeks / months. As the old saying goes, "They won't know whether to sh## or go blind." Inland Washington is dry and non-productive. In eastern Oregon lies the Inland Desert.

Urbanites in some other countries have agriculturally productive land into which they might flee -- NOT U.S. Pacific Coast urbanites. The unimaginable masses of people living on the American "Left Coast" are gonners when it hits the fan.

Cities cannot feed their own populations, food has to be brought in from the outside and the waste removed to someplace outside, refuse in London used to be barged out down the Thames.
most people wont realise there is a problem with food supplies until its a major problem, most dont know about the Just In Time delivery system.

The starvation is here and very real in many countries at this moment and growing worse daily . Those living in the richer countries may not see it yet but that doesn't mean it is not already happening . Just go to YouTube and type in "starvation 2022 " . There is such horrific happenings going on that I will not even attempt to list them . On one of my posts on this thread , I did provide you guys one link depicting people are now selling their kidneys so they can buy food . Also they are selling their children to perverts and into slavery to buy food . If you didn't have time to see it , go back to one of my previous posts and you will find it . This desperation will take hold and grow across the globe .

re: High food prices in Western nations

In some areas of America, the baby food shelves are empty.

    https://duckduckgo.com/?q=baby+formula+shelves+empty&t=newext&atb=v320-2&iax=images&ia=images&iaf=time:Week

If food prices go higher, the middle class will curse and pay the prices. The poor have their food stamps and WIC.
    https://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/wic-eligibility-requirements

If however, there come serious shortages, the looting class of Amerika will simply fill their carts and walk out the door. If anybody says anything to them, that person will get a beat-down.

It will be interesting to see how middle-class suburbanites will react to not being able to buy their food items due to theft.

Here's a drug addict. He wasn't a killer. This fellow just went violent on the door -- not the employee. Many simply haven't the ability to control their behavior. Some can be "fixed" for a while. So, it's not a 100 percenter hyper-violence issue.

    .
    .
Thing is. When times go royally sideways, stores will be looted empty and food delivery trucks will be attacked.

All the more reason we preppers prep. It's rare for spoiled Americans to have food put back that would last them over a week ... or should I say, two days.

Americans don't have a clue about what poverty in other, especially third world nations, really means. To us poverty is not having a new car every few years or not being able to aford to eat out 5 days a week. If you live in the US and are hungry you are just to stupid to eat. Here poverty doesn't mean no food and no shelter from the cold. Every little town has some sort of outreach nearby that will see to it that you are not going to be hungry. Most schools in Texas will feed a kid two meals a day. Too often they found that if they gave the parents money for food they would spend it on drugs and the kids still went hungry. I had a nephew that was like that. His whore Mama would sell anything that was given to him or given to her FOR him and buy drugs. Our system is so messed up that over and over they would take him and his sister and then after a few months give themm back to her. When she didn't have the kids she didn't get the money from welfare to feed them and so she couldn't afford drugs. She would sort of dry out and they would put those kids right back in the same hole. It wasn't like there wasn't family that would have taken them in. We did for a while but about the time they would get going in the new school and make a few friends the state would up root them and send them back to her.

America has over 11 million single moms on welfare. Some states attempt to go after the absent fathers, but most do not. Attempting to figure-out who fathered the kids would be a challenge for the very women having these kids, so who knows who the bio-dad is.

What American tax payers know is that they go to work to pay for this sort of breeding going on and for a lot of the drugs. Addicted moms use their food stamps and WIC benefits to buy canned meats which are then easy to sell. The money from sales of the food purchased with welfare-state money then goes to purchase drugs. Thus, drug gangs driving the most expensive SUVs on the market. Gangs carjack the vehicles that they use in crimes, not wanting to put at risk their $55,000 personal vehicles.

True that only a minority women are addicts; however, most of these "moms" are totally unable to raise these kids. Once these kids get into adolescence, all bets are off. For a single mom to be able to control the behavior of an adolescent male is Herculean to say the least.

During our teens, I and most of my male friends feared our fathers. Still, I pitched drunks and smoked lots of pot. But, I made good grades due to my fear of my father and the men in my life (90% ex-military and retired military). My high school rifle team coach (retired career military) let us party ... AFTER we finished our rifle matches (at universities, but often military bases in the Southeastern U.S.). My dad died when I was in high school, but I was already formed and went to university. Got my act together after my father died. Couldn't run his gambling operations and all of "the fellows" / his buddies wouldn't let me into the business per my dad's orders. Theirs was a VERY disciplined world -- ABSOLUTE rules.

It's a rough world, but with discipline and personal effort, one can succeed.

    No discipline = death.

More chickens up in smoke ... and hey kids, this ain't no Cheech and Chong movie!

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/i...5m-chickens-fires-200-plus-workers/ar-AAWI1pp

"Animal rights activists are up in arms over reports that a chicken farm in Iowa killed more than five million birds, after detecting a case of avian influenza, in what activists say was a gruesome culling method. The factory farm later dismissed the more than 200 workers it had tasked with slaughtering the hens, according to a report from The Guardian.

"'They were essentially roasted alive. They were cooked from the inside out,' she said. 'Glen Taylor is a billionaire, yet he chose the cheapest option to kill these birds in a very cruel way.'"

I got no reason on Earth to like fried chicken. Yet, I still do. Meat du jour if your poor. Parents loved beef, thought it special. If you "made it" -- got out of grinding poverty -- you got to eat beef. Dad and his brothers weren't gonna work the mines -- by-god. Especially, having survived the war. Gonna eat beef!

Dad's mom kept frying those chickens. It was what you did. Pone of corn bread, greens, fried chicken.

My mom's side liked fish. Mom's dad ("Pap") and I fished (more than hunting time). Indians fished a lot more than people know (deer all the time?, NO!, maybe in the movies). They taught us how to grow corn. Our lot leased land from them; married in amongst them; learned how to not die in the mountains from them; traded ... all that. Good thing I like fish. Tins of kippered herring last on the shelf for years ... but not around me. Love my kippers. Original People wouldn't eat that ... or maybe they would. They'd ask where we found all that salt. Salt was valuable. I put back salt. Post SHTF, salt will be valuable again. Salt is silver, valuable. Southwest Original People loved their silver; it was trade, adornment, used for worship rituals. I don't know anything at all about the southwestern people -- VERY different culture. I couldn't make it in such a dry place.

Tinned sardines, salt, pork, alcohol, tobacco, salt-pork, sardines, alcohol, fried everything, alcohol, tobacco killed Pap and the premature age of 90. Grandma only lived a decade longer. Stay away from that sh##! It'll kill you!

Have my stacks of tinned fish.

The Original People lived WITH the land. We mostly eat out of cans. This is why to grow a decent garden. Fresh food = good food. Everybody used to grow gardens. Now, everyone knows not how to do so. Beyond sad.

"D.C. Mother Allegedly Killed by Father of Baby She Claimed to Toss in Trash"

    https://www.breitbart.com/crime/202...ly-killed-father-baby-she-claimed-toss-trash/

"A Washington, DC, woman, who publicly said that she tossed her tw0-month-old baby in the trash when he wasn’t breathing after she accidentally rolled on top of him in bed, was found dead Wednesday, and the father of her child faces murder charges, reports say.

"In a press release, the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said personnel with the Fifth District responded to a reported stabbing in the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast, at approximately 2:52 a.m. Once on scene, authorities discovered the victim, later identified as Ladonia Boggs, 38, with an apparent stab wound. She was not displaying any signs of life and was conveyed to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, according to the release.

"Personnel with the Capitol Area Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended 44-year-old Carl Jones of Northeast D.C. on a Superior Court arrest warrant the same day, the MPD said. Jones is charged with second-degree murder while armed, and an investigation has found the incident to be domestic.

"The MPD confirmed to People that Jones fathered Bogg’s infant, Kyon Jones.

"The child went missing from the 1500 block of Benning Road on May 5, 2021, and his disappearance was reported two days later, the MPD said at the time.

"Boggs allegedly told Jones that Child Protective Services (CPS) took the infant away, so Jones reached out to the National Center for Children and Families the following day, WRC reported. He learned that Kyon was not in CPS custody, and a social worker alerted the D.C. Child and Family Services Agency to the missing child and the mother’s history with the drug PCP, according to the outlet.

"Boggs allegedly admitted to authorities that she rolled over onto the child while they were lying in bed while she was high on PCP and discarded the child’s body in a panic, WRC reported."

    ----------------------------------

It would appear that Ladonia Boggs laidon th'baby. Maybe the baby-daddy laidon some hurt on Ladonia. Or, maybe Ladonia lainon th'knife. Accidents happen. Some neighborhoods attract a whole lot more accidents than other neighborhoods.

I am a sort of country boy. We lived in town but then went to the farm on a lot of weekends especially at harvest and canning time. As far as chickens go I've gone out caught one killed it cleaned it and ate it for supper more times than I can count. It is just the cycle of life.

City folks miss something in not being a real part of that cycle and if things ever go south they are in for a RUDE awakening. That steak used to be a cute little calf. The same for the little pigs and chickens. You feed them and care for them every day and then one day you kill them.

To always keep this in mind our pigs were always named Porkchop or Bacon and the calves were T-bone or Hamburger. We didn't get sentimental about the chickens. We had a holsteen milk cow and whenever she dropped a calf we also added a dairy bull calf on her. She would easily raise two calves. Cheap meat! A dairy has to breed the cows if they want milk but have ZERO use for a bull calf. We got them for a little of nothing ...sometimes free just haul them off. Sometimes we would just get one and have it for a BBQ almost immediatly. You can bottle feed them for a while and then BBQ them.

Europe has already absorbed 2,000,000 refugees fleeing Ukraine. Scandinavian countries have absorbed millions from Eastern Europe and Arabic nations -- such that one-fifth of those living in Sweden today were born outside of Sweden. As famine sweeps across the Middle East and Africa, heaven only knows how many tens of millions will flee into Europe. As the number of refugees grows and as fuel & fertilizer shortages grow, Europe will be overwhelmed.

"Putin's Invasion of Ukraine Creating a World Food Security Catastrophe"

    https://www.newsweek.com/putins-invasion-ukraine-creating-world-food-security-catastrophe-1694928

"As Vladimir Putin's brutal assault on Ukraine presses forward, the devastating impacts of war are rattling the most vulnerable corners of the world, driving millions toward starvation.

"In Ukraine, tens of thousands remain trapped without access to food and water. Beyond its borders, millions more are teetering on the edge of famine.

"'We are on a countdown to catastrophe,' David Beasley, executive director of the U.N. World Food Programme said, 'and we are running out of time to avoid it.'

"Ukraine has long been known as 'the breadbasket of Europe,' and is one of the top three grain producers in the world, according to Farming Life. Russia and Ukraine together account for nearly one third of the world's traded wheat and 12% of its calories, National Geographic reported, with some 26 countries relying heavily on both nations for food security.

"But as Russia's attack on its neighbor has all but shut down grain exports from the region, both vital supply chains have been shattered. Without them, food prices and shortages are spiraling, and the world is left to face its greatest food crisis since the last great war.

"Experts fear that critical humanitarian aid may be diverted from the Middle East and North Africa in an effort to support the equally dire crisis in Ukraine, the consequences of which could be deadly.

"'For the millions of Palestinians, Lebanese, Yemenis, Syrians, and others who live in countries experiencing conflict, catastrophic economic meltdowns, and increasing humanitarian needs,' Carnegie Middle East experts said, 'this would be equivalent to shutting down critical life support.'

"Beasley warned the Security Council that the war in Ukraine has turned the country 'from a breadbasket to a bread line' for millions of its people, while devastating countries that rely on the region for food security.

"His agency was feeding 125 million people around the world before Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine, Time reported. Due to rising food, fuel and shipping costs increasing the agency's monthly expenses by $71 million, it has had to start cutting those rations.

"Because of the ongoing assault against Ukraine, Time reported, the WFP will have to abandon services to four million people in other parts of the world."

I dont see many Ukrainian's coming to Europe, some with family here are applying for visa's but the numbers are relatively small, most Ukrainian refugees seem to have gone to places like Poland so that when the war is over they can go home and help to rebuild the country, unlike the parasites coming illegally over the English Channel in small boats.

many Sheeple here are bleating on about "heating or eating" but its mostly about knowing how to budget and their unsustainable life styles, many are heavily in debt long before any cost of living crisis occurred , if someone is servicing a debt that will cut down on money for energy and food bills.
one of the first things anyone thinking of getting into prepping is advised to do is get out of debt first.
many have no savings of any kind and the first "help" they access is the food bank, so they are already on the bread line before they start.
if someone is in that situation even before an event starts then they have no chance of survival after it hits.

Conspiracy or reality? Sounds flaky ... but gee-golly-gosh, there's a whole lot of arson going on, plus a freaky number of coincidences.

"Pattern of fires striking food facilities across the USA suggests ARSON TEAMS are burning down America’s food production infrastructure"

    https://foodcollapse.com/2022-04-22...facilities-across-the-usa-suggests-arson.html

"In a recent broadcast, Black Conservative Patriot (BCP) asked his audience to crowdsource reports of fires affecting food facilities in the last few months. His audience produced the following list. It hasn’t been fully vetted, but several recent fires such as the Azure Standard fire and the Taylor Farms food processing facility fire in Salinas, California, are both widely covered in recent news stories.

    – Dried milk plant – Idaho fire 10-21
    – Food processing plant fire San Antonio 12-21
    – JBS beef plant fire 12-21
    – Mississippi poultry feed mill boiler explosion 12–21
    – Hamilton Mountain poultry processing plant fire 1-22
    – LeCompte Feed mill fire, Louisiana 1-22
    – Bonanza meat company fire El Paso, Texas 2-22
    – Shearer’s Food Plant Fire, Oregon 2-22
    – Mauston Wisconsin River Meats fire 2-22
    – Food bank in Maricopa county Arizona- food pantry 50,000 pounds of food destroyed by fire 3–22
    – Nestle fire Arkansas. 3-22
    – Walmart distribution Center fire 3–22
    – Potato processing plant Penobscot, Maine 3-22
    – Sherbrooke, Canada food processing fire 4-22
    – Fire grain elevator plant fire, Kansas 4-22
    – Fertilizer plant fire 4-22
    – Azure Standard fire 4-22
    – Food processing plant fire, Salinas California 4-22

"Granted, there exists a certain background frequency of fires even in normal times, but this pattern of so many fires striking so many food facilities in such as short period of time is raising eyebrows.

    [Railroads]

"The recent Union Pacific announcement that they would start de-platforming rail cars carrying fertilizer to US farmers only adds to the speculation that all this is somehow coordinated to create food scarcity in America. It also begs the question: As the world is running straight into a global food crisis, why would the US rail infrastructure companies decide to drop fertilizer and grain shipments?

"CF Industries, in its own announcement, warned that, “Not only will fertilizer be delayed by these shipping restrictions, but additional fertilizer needed to complete spring applications may be unable to reach farmers at all. By placing this arbitrary restriction on just a handful of shippers, Union Pacific is jeopardizing farmers’ harvests and increasing the cost of food for consumers.”

"That same announcement revealed that 30 companies are facing similar restrictions. Union Pacific claims it is overloaded with demand and can’t handle it, so they’re buying more locomotives… a process that will likely take years to complete, if ever.

"Engineered food shortages will lead to food riots and civil unrest around the world

"The United Nations’ FAO is already warning that food prices are spiking at the astonishing rate of 12.6% per month, according to the FAO’s latest data (March, 2022).

"The IMF, meanwhile, is publicly warning that the accelerating food supply shortages will lead to waves of social unrest across the globe.

"Analysis: The engineered collapse of the US food supply is part of the collapse / reset plan to destroy America

"In our analysis, these data points are not merely coincidence. They indicate a well planned, well funded scheme to create food scarcity across the USA in the second half of 2022 and extending well into 2023.

"Whoever is running this plan wants Americans to panic from hunger.

"That panic will of course lead to uprisings and food riots, almost certainly followed by food rationing and, eventually, government-mandated price controls.

"I have also predicted that the corrupt Biden regime will direct limited food supplies to 'blue' areas while starving 'red' areas as a run-up to civil war in America. Biden has already indicated he will use similar powers to weaponize supplies by denying the supply of monoclonal antibodies to red states. That action is a kind of medical sanction and an act of war against the red states."

    ----------------------------------

Old Gzr, re: attempting to starve red/conservative states

It is the red states that grow the food and produce the fuel. If the puppet biden regime tries to starve the red states, the red states will simply shut down food and fuels supplies going into the cities. If the Borg attempts to clamp-down on patriots, they should realize that most combat military soldiers in America are from America, not Amerika.

During a national economic collapse, the core/real military (the fighting military, not the Pentagon brass) could pull a take-over of the government and clean-house in the Pentagon.

only the masses will starve, because they have been programmed to rely on others for their food supply.
before the era of supermarkets people had these strange things called Larders and they put back stuff, I was taught even from a child that you didnt allow yourself to run out of stuff especially food and only an idiot did so.

--- Even in the United States the crises is catching up to those that have made poor choices in their life , ranging from where they choose to live , jobs and income planning for the latter part of their lives . This is only going to get worse for at least the next 2 1/2 years in the United States . The next Presidential election is the only hope of a reversal . At this point so much damage is being done even then , I find a reversal in the starvation not likely to do much in the way of putting food on the table for the sheeple . -- Preppers that wisely choose to live in a location where they can grow their own food in a reasonable quantity and have a location where garden looters will not destroy their efforts have a huge advantage in the period we are now in .

I as probably most of you are seeing on televised news about the lack of enough baby formula in the United States . I haven't heard as to whether this applies to other countries . Infants are suffering from the Democrat caused food shortage in this country . I suspect the suffering world wide is partly due to the ripple effect of idiotic decrees by the party that gained control through the political coup . Babies are targeted by Democrats to be killed in the womb . Now if they get passed that by having a decent mother , they are on the front line to be starved to death .

Number one enemy of America, the biden regime:

"Nolte: GOP Rep Says Illegal Immigrants Receiving ‘Pallets of Baby Formula’"

    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/...al-immigrants-receiving-pallets-baby-formula/

"Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) says that while Americans face a worsening baby formula shortage, 'They are sending pallets–pallets! of baby formula to the border.'

"Who is 'they?' Well, the Biden administration, of course.

"You don’t think Joe Biden would put Americans at the head of the baby formula line, do you? Democrats hate Americans, especially the babies they didn’t get a chance to abort.

"Hoping to change the country’s demographics (a stated goal of Democrats and the media), Biden is flooding the country with illegal immigrants, a record number of them, even as he spends $40 billion to protect Ukraine’s border. But now, according to this congresswoman, people who have no business being in our country are receiving the baby formula countless American mothers can’t find for their own babies.

"On a social media post, Cammack said she received photographic evidence of the border deliveries from a border patrol agent.

"In a Facebook video, Cammack said this border patrol agent told her, 'Kat, you would not believe the shipment [of baby formula] I just brought in.' Cammack added that this guy 'has been a border patrol agent for 30 years, and he has never seen anything quite like this. He is a grandfather, and he is saying that his own children can’t get baby formula for his grandkids.'

"She adds, 'He, as a border patrol agent, just took in pallets, pallets of baby formula for all of the illegals that are crossing into the United States.'"

"Food Riots In Sri Lanka Turn Deadly As Protesters Beat Up Police, Burn Down Politicians' Houses"

    https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/f...ters-beat-police-burn-down-politicians-houses

"And as food prices keep rising, the protests across poor nations keep escalating, and on Thursday protests broke out in Iran leading to at least 22 arrests, after the government cut subsidies for food, sending prices through the roof as authorities braced for more unrest in the following weeks, Fox News reports.

"Daftari is right, and not just about Iran (and Iraq), but also Sri Lanka, where protesters angry at the soaring prices of everyday commodities including food, have burned down homes belonging to 38 politicians as the crisis-hit country plunged further into chaos, with the government ordering troops to 'shoot on sight.'

"Further food price increases would likely put upward pressure on global and especially EM policy rates given the already very elevated inflation levels, and often less well anchored inflation expectations. The impact on DM policy rates should be more limited smaller, although food prices also influence DM short-term inflation expectations.

"High food inflation can also have negative effects on credit and FX markets in frontier economies facing sharp terms of trade deteriorations. “Food-only” terms of trade have worsened in about 80% of the EMs this year. Using data on these terms of trade moves, food CPI weights, and fiscal balances, our EM strategists conclude that frontier sovereign credit markets in Egypt, Ghana, Tunisia, and Morocco are particularly vulnerable to food inflation shocks. Rising food inflation may also contribute to sociopolitical unrest in lower-income countries, as is currently the case in Sri Lanka."

Food riots have indeed begun . The rioting idiots don't understand burning down homes and businesses will not put food on their table . Simple algebra - an x amount of food will feed an x amount of people , Thousands across the globe face starvation . The poorer people will simply be out bid for the x amount of food . -- Here again we will see preppers sitting back enjoying adequate food while the grasshoppers starve ,

... and this is just the very beginning. First there are riots, then civil war, then adjacent countries get attacked.
People can make fun of me all they want, however I sure am glad I'm one of those "paranoid" preppers.
Wouldn't it be fascinating to learn of some prepper who had put back infant formula for his pregnant wife! Right now they would be laughing at those who laughed at them.
      "Why won't you share?!"
"Because you had the opportunity to prepare and you did not. Life has its consequences."

over here there arent enough Police to go door to door, the numbers of officers have been dropping year on year for over a decade, they'll be lucky if they can even do it in London with all the ethnic communities never mind anywhere outside of the capital.

Here in the U. S. what FEMA fails to understand , they can not steal from the self sufficient prepper in any significant amount because they will be gathering and producing their food in an never ending perpetual plan . The government may grab a few things to cart off for the chosen ones , but they will likely find the death toll in trying to do so , to not be worth the effort .

any stored food can in theory be taken by the govt if they have the resources to do so, but stored food to a prepper is only a stopgap, if one has the skills and knowledge we can still feed ourselves by other means, the ordinary citizen will not.

they'll have to find this place first, outsiders dont know where this is and most consider this area "the middle of nowhere" , its one of these small communities where we say "blink and you'll miss it"!!! its really too far and too unimportant for anyone to bother.

If government goons begin pillaging Heartland America, they will get shot dead. Of course, they may win, but at a horrible price. The espirit de corps goes way down as troopers witness their comrades in arms have their heads turned into pink mist. Gut injuries are hellish also.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/worl...ar-drains-focus-from-global-crises/ar-AAXAcd6 --- This link is written by someone now realizing the starvation has now arrived . Our members have been waiting for this and preparing for this , in most cases for many years . Amusingly the author blames the starvation woes all on the Russia / Ukraine war . Our members know better . There is no hope of improving a crises when fools can't even admit as to what has caused it .

I wouldnt rely on what main stream news sites say.
together Ukraine and Russian supply over one quarter (25.4 %) of the world supply of grain and most of Ukraine's grain is either stuck in warehouses or rotting in the fields and Russia's exports are banned from most Nato countries.

https://www.nutritruth.org/single-p...ollowed-by-food-riots-and-social-unrest-biden --- Like the author that wrote the above link , I have no proof of a Democrat conspiracy to starve U.S. citizens which unavoidably will include other countries , but I do share the same suspicion . True as Lonewolf posted above (25.4% ) of the world supply of grain has been eliminated by the Russia / Ukraine war but that is only a minor portion of the now ongoing food shortage . The biggest problem " way bigger than the war " is the man made food shortage by the " one world globalist " . I only question the motivation , but concede the link above could be correct .

I don't think we've seen anything yet. In the coming months, it is going to hit the fan as far as famine is concerned. The world is twiddling its thumbs while a monster of unimaginable proportions approaches. Currently, there are warehouses still having stocks of food. That is going to run out rather rapidly considering that there is insufficient supplies coming in to supply the food pipelines. And, many nations are going to suffer. North Korea is on a war-footing and is already experiencing massive levels of hunger. North Korea will go full-famine and will face an existential threat. I see North Korea starting a war and I sure do not think that it will be alone. This coming famine is also going to set off wars in the Middle East and Africa.

"Zelenskyy's global food crisis prediction may be 10 weeks away, UN official says: 'Seismic'"

    https://www.foxnews.com/world/zelenskyys-global-food-crisis-official

"A food supply expert warns that the world faces a global crisis in just 10 weeks, echoing a warning from Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"'Russia has blocked almost all ports and all, so to speak, maritime opportunities to export food – our grain, barley, sunflower and more. A lot of things,' Zelenskyy said Saturday. "There will be a crisis in the world. The second crisis after the energy one, which was provoked by Russia."

"'Now it will create a food crisis if we do not unblock the routes for Ukraine, do not help the countries of Africa, Europe, Asia, which need these food products,' he added.

"The world has only 10 weeks’ worth of wheat left to deal with the crisis, according to Sara Menker, CEO of Gro Intelligence.

"'This is seismic,' Menker said during a special meeting of the U.N. Security Council. 'Even if the war were to end tomorrow, our food security problem isn’t going away anytime soon without concerted action.'"

    Famines bring with them violence

"The Horrifying Reality of The Great Famine"

    https://historyofyesterday.com/the-horrifying-reality-of-the-great-famine-83d52abf263f

"It began in April 1315. Heavy rainfall devastated Europe for 150 days. Everywhere north of the Alps and west of the Urals was affected, including Britain, France, Germany, and Scandanavia.

"Historians and scientists do not know the precise cause of this prolonged weather event. But we do know about the horrifying consequences.

"After near-constant rainfall for months on end, agriculture across Europe had been devastated. The floodwaters had washed away acres of valuable crops: supplies of wheat, barley, oats, and rye were scarce.

"This poor crop surplus was disastrous for the farm animals. Cows, horses, pigs, and sheep were all valuable assets to the farmers of fourteenth-century Europe, but many died from disease or a lack of nutrients.

"Malnutrition and starvation soon became widespread, particularly in poorer communities, but the situation became much more sinister as time went on.

"During the Great Famine, some people resorted to cannibalism. Documents from various European countries, such as Estonia, Ireland, and Poland, recorded this horrifying phenomenon.

"Family members turned on each other when the lack of food became unbearable. Children turned on their parents. Parents turned on their children. And it wasn’t uncommon for people to eat corpses, either. Cemeteries were sometimes raided by those who were desperate for something to eat.

"Crime rates increase when times are difficult, and the Great Famine was no exception.

"Lawlessness was already a major problem in fourteenth-century Europe, but the scarcity of food made everything worse. Rustlers and poachers targeted any animals that had managed to survive the famine and sold them for the highest price they could get.

"It was a similar story with crops. Groups of thieves would break into farmland and take as much valuable produce as they could carry before selling their assets in marketplaces.

"Historians do not know how many people died from the Great Famine. But several have estimated that the death toll was roughly one million.

"Though the rains of 1315 only lasted a matter of months, the consequences were felt for years. Crop yields remained low until 1322, and the persistently cold winters didn’t help matters.

"But despite the horror and longevity of the Great Famine, few people know about this tragic event. While it certainly isn’t pleasant to read about, having a historical awareness of events like the Great Famine gives us some much-needed perspective."

The following thievery happened due to perceived threat during the covid panic. Imagine what it will be like when the groceries actually go bare!

"Theft threat to livestock and poultry caused by perceived food shortages"

    https://www.thepoultrysite.com/news...nd-poultry-caused-by-perceived-food-shortages

"12 hens might not sound like a lot, but for a small holder in Yorkshire and her micro egg sale business it’s devastating. A van arrived and a man took all the hens overnight. The case is not limited to just smallholders.

"The threat to livestock in fields is increasing.

“'We are very worried especially during lambing season as people increasingly behave irrationally regarding food', says Jonathan Ratcliffe from security provider CCTV.co.uk.

"Smaller animals and poultry of all kinds are an easy target for small scale thefts but can have traumatic consequences for all farmers and small holders large and small."

The above link is spot on as to what people can expect as for as livestock and garden thieves as desperation increases . Here in the United States nearly all rural dwellers are armed and willing to protect their resources from the unprepared . That is a huge difference between them and those that have no firearms to protect their resources and families . Already precautions have been taken to combat thieves " real or imagined " on our survival grounds , even as rural as I am . --- Those whose survival plan included creeping onto neighboring property to raid someone else's resources will find that plan to be not what they envisioned . ---- Reviewing this post I noticed the link has vanished . I suppose communist at work .

most gardens in the UK are not for gardening, they are usually kids playgrounds (cant let them play in the street there might be a pervert around the next corner- there probably is! )
in many cases its just a dumping ground for that dead cooker or an old mattress. most people in the UK do not grow their own food or know how to.

Stress humans and their personality changes. Whether talking about an individual or a group, humans have the potential to go primitive if pushed. And some "humans" are much more given to thievery and violence than others.

If a child starts to cry out of hunger, the parent(s) of that child will seek-out and steal food if they themselves have no food to feed that child. They will travel as far as they have to to find food. If someone gets between them and the food their child needs, they will attack that person.

If you cannot protect your garden, then you will lose the food it produces. I've shot four-legged critters that raided my garden. Post SHTF, unfortunately, I'll likely have to do the same with the two-legged variety.

Horrible situation, however people have had plenty of time to prepare for the hell that is coming. If they didn't prepare, it sure isn't on me to bail them out of their own destruction. Taking from me is taking from my family. I'll protect my family by any means necessary. And here in rural America, everybody is just like me. I am but one of many. Post SHTF, I see people looting a neighbor's place, I'll give them lead poisoning. All aggressors must be eliminated.

    https://www.cbsnews.com/dfw/news/dallas-man-shoots-kills-suspect-breaking-neighbors-home/

"Police said a 60-year-old man called 911 to report the burglary in progress at his neighbor's house.

"He told police three men were involved in the break-in and as they were leaving 'one of them fired multiple rounds towards the subject.'

"The man then returned gunfire and struck one of the suspects.

"He was rushed to an area hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue and later pronounced deceased.

"The man who shot the burglary suspect was interviewed by detectives and released pending a referral to a Dallas County grand jury."
    ---------------

In the Southern USA, one is allowed self-defense. In the socialist Northern USSA, even if you don't get prosecuted, some attorney representing the dead inferior will bring a lawsuit against you.

I've been a jury member in the South. I and the others tossed baseless cases.
