The Scots have wool and have an advanced knowledge of how to heat with peat. Thus, I fear not for them.

I wouldn't call what's coming a "die-off"; however, it is going to be a whole lot worse than is being predicted. Here's why: Sure, some will develop pneumonia and perish -- ugly terrible god-awful, that. But the people having become comfortable imagining that their government will somehow continue to be the ever-resourceful Mummy and Daddy, will not take this well = understatement of the century. Some will decompensate psychologically and many, very many, are going to be well beyond angry. There will be protests that could easily go violent.

The prices for all fuel types are going to soar. Can the household budgets of most folk handle this? No! MAJOR lifestyle changes will have to be instituted in everybody's world. This will add to the fury of the masses.

If rationing or rolling blackouts are instituted, this will further the anger-factor among the people. People are today spoiled beyond all description. Time was that people sacrificed and would unify when under attack by other nations, or horrid weather, or financial collapses, but not anymore. The spoilage of souls is such that everyone imagines themselves to be the center of the universe. It is an infantile world now, "Mommy, Daddy, feed me, feed me, feed me!"

There will be damage to infrastructure due to insufficient heating. It won't just be frozen/busted water lines. All manner of equipment types have their own unique environmental ambient temperature working ranges. It sounds odd, however certain types of equipment need to be run either perpetually or often lest it die. Keeping equipment running requires the fuel to do so -- uh oh!

Europe must switch a lot of its fuel needs to the use of liquefied natural gas, LNG, yet there's a stack of issues in doing so -- more than I can name. The puppet biden regime stopping pipeline construction is one act of sabotage. So let me find some articles concerning. I need to learn more.

    https://oilprice.com/Energy/Natural-Gas/Why-Europes-Dependence-On-US-LNG-Is-Risky.html

    https://oilprice.com/Energy/Natural...selling-Its-Excess-Russian-LNG-To-Europe.html

"Hilariously, it also means that instead of being dependent on Russia for gas, Europe is now becoming dependent on Beijing instead for its energy - which is still Russian gas, only this time imported from China - which makes a mockery of US geopolitical ambitions to defend a liberal international order with its own energy exports."

I fear you are living in the past with regard to your remarks about Scots having wool and heating with peat, times have moved on and not for the best, the way "Mrs Krankie" (first minister ) is handling the economy with everything being spent of the wished for independence vote I think the lights will be going off in Scotland a lot earlier than in England.

Ok. The Scots who are wise and know the old ways will survive. And, they are the ones who deserve to see their grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive. Mother Nature is the one who came up with the whole "survival of the fittest" thingy. Dependency on technology spells death.

It started with Sweden, but the experience of the Swedes will spread. Poland, Hungary, and now Austria are refusing to put up with the violent invaders and are being condemned for not being good little victims and capitulating to leftist limp-wrist suicidal mandates.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ke-violence-tops-Swedish-voters-concerns.html

"Gang shootings have escalated and spread across Sweden in recent years, with authorities struggling to contain the war-like violence that now tops voters' concerns ahead of Sunday's general election.

"Murders like these are usually settlings of scores between rival gangs often controlled by immigrant clans, according to police, and increasingly taking place in public places in broad daylight.

"The violence is primarily attributed to battles over the drug and weapons market and personal vendettas.

"It has escalated to the point where Sweden - one of the richest and most egalitarian countries in the world - now tops the European rankings for fatal shootings.

"According to a report published last year by the National Council for Crime Prevention, among 22 countries with comparable data only Croatia had more deadly shootings, and no other country posted a bigger increase than Sweden in the past decade.

"Despite various measures introduced by the Social Democratic government to crack down on the gangs - including tougher prison sentences and boosting police resources - the number of dead and injured continues to mount.

"There are also frequent bombings of homes and cars and grenade attacks.

"While the violence was once contained to locations frequented by criminals, it has now spread to public spaces, sparking concern among ordinary Swedes in a country long known as safe and peaceful.

"At the police station in Rinkeby, one of Stockholm's disadvantaged suburbs, 26-year-old patrol cop Michael Cojocaru says he and his colleagues regularly encounter brutal violence reminiscent of war and seize assault weapons, grenades and explosives."

    -----------------------------------------------

Spain has tried to enforce their immigration laws and in so doing has been condemned.

When the famine goes full-scale in North Africa, neither Spain nor any other Mediterranean country will be able to push back the human tide.

a lot of the crimes now being committed in Britain are drug related and are Albanian gangs funded in part by the migrants coming across the channel in small boats the vast majority of which are young fit males from Albania.

"Macron Proposes Repopulating Rural Areas with Migrants"

    https://www.amren.com/news/2022/09/macron-proposes-repopulating-rural-areas-with-migrants/

"French president Emmanuel Macron has proposed creating a bill next year to reform France’s immigration and asylum policies, including a proposal to redistribute migrants to rural areas facing demographic decline.

"President Macron, who made his remarks on Thursday, also called for a new system to redistribute migrants across France, specifically in 'rural areas, which are losing population,' arguing that 'the conditions for their reception will be much better than if we put them in areas that are already densely populated, with a concentration of massive economic and social problems.'"

    ----------------------------

"Rural Germany an ‘Integration Laboratory’ for Migrants"

    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2016/01/25/rural-germany-an-integration-laboratory-for-migrants/

"German villages and small towns could hold the key to socially integrating a mass influx of refugees who would in turn help revitalise dwindling rural populations, experts say.

“'The rural regions are a laboratory of integration,' said Karl-Friedrich Thoene from the infrastructure and agriculture ministry of the eastern state of Thuringia.

"Unlike in densely populated big cities, 'there can be no parallel societies in rural areas,' he said. 'The village community is the ideal chance for integration.'”

you put hundreds of people into a rural area and the infrastructure will collapse, in most villages around here there are no shops, no post office and no pub, they are all gone, if you want any of those things you need to travel to a bigger town, and there is no public transport either.

This is what I've been reading. Local governments / small towns are are saying, "How are we to take care of these people?! We have no shelters!" I probably read at least four articles that had within them accounts of the locals being overwhelmed. One town was assigned more immigrants than locals, so they flat-out refused to be a part of it -- I don't know how that ended up. Also read that 50% of immigrants eventually move away from where they were relocated.

This is pure madness, being politically correct even though it is impossible. It's another chapter in the insanity of centralized government.

Here in the States, border governors are busing migrants to northern urban areas. This is because they are aggie/rural and they are getting a tsunami of non-English-speaking males. As for Hispanic agricultural workers, these folk have their Green Cards and are established. I see them driving VERY expensive trucks that I could never afford -- we're talking $55,000, 4x4 extended cab, long bed, brand new trucks.

most of the immigrants over here head for the capital or one of the northern cities, there is nothing for them in the rural areas and nothing for them to do, no jobs, limited housing, apart from maybe a corner shop-if their lucky- no supermarkets.

Turning off the gas to Europe with winter approaching is very bad P.R. But a broken gas line is not Russia's fault. Either way Russia was going to lose the revenue, so why not damage the pipeline. Can always be repaired in the future, when enough Europeans have suffered a very cold winter.

Considering how many people are addicted to their mobile phones, the following will be a digital drug disaster. I wonder what the withdrawal signs will be? I guess the high tech junkies will just curl up in the fetal position.

"Exclusive: Europe braces for mobile network blackouts"

    https://www.reuters.com/business/me...-mobile-network-blackouts-sources-2022-09-29/

"PARIS/STOCKHOLM/MILAN, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Once unthinkable, mobile phones could go dark around Europe this winter if power cuts or energy rationing knocks out parts of the mobile networks across the region.

"Telecoms industry officials say they fear a severe winter will put Europe's telecoms infrastructure to the test, forcing companies and governments to try to mitigate the impact.

"Currently there are not enough back-up systems in many European countries to handle widespread power cuts, four telecoms executives said, raising the prospect of mobile phone outages."

Regardless as to whether what is about to unfold for Europe is deliberate , incompetence , war , or outer space aliens the results = the same . Though some still don't realize it , this is why the One World Globalist hated Trump and still are afraid of him . He was blocking their agenda . By spring there will be little resemblance of the Quality of life the people of Europe were enjoying three years ago . Some sources put their plight on the level of Sri Lanka , but personally will not go that for , but will recognize this could be a reality .

"German gas price brake won't bring back pre-war prices, minister warns"

    https://www.reuters.com/business/en...-energy-situation-extremely-tense-2022-09-30/

"Despite a 200 billion euro ($196 billion) 'defensive shield' announced by the government on Thursday, 'we are not going to subsidise the price of gas down to what it was in 2021, not for a very long time,' he said.

"Germany is in an 'extremely tense situation' with regards to energy supply, Habeck said. 'If we don't save, if households don't reduce consumption, we still risk not having enough gas in the winter.'

"Germany's network regulator, which would be in charge of gas rationing in the event of a supply emergency, said on Thursday household consumption was too high to be sustainable.

"Last week's usage of natural gas by German households and small industry was 483 gigawatt hours, 14.5% above the average for that week over the past four years, the Federal Network Agency said."

Only a handful of any given population exhibit what we refer to as "rationality". In times of moderate stress, the number of people whose brains overrule their glandular activity drops by 50%. In times of great stress, very precious few humans keep their behaviors within the realm of rationality. This is a HUGE thing for all preppers to consider. I do trust some people, but it is precious few. Being raised on the wrong side of the tracks, I've seen some seriously sick behaviors. It's good that you live in a place you know. When it hits the fan, if one is an outsider, their chances of survival are next to nil.

    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1672125/economic-crisis-spain-uk-europe-cost-of-living-ont

"Spain is the second most pessimistic nation about the state of the economy in the world, with the UK at the top of the list.

"Almost one third of the Spanish population have admitted that they struggle to make ends meet, with 60 percent believing their country is already in a recession.

"High levels of inflation have forced the nation's people into a difficult situation as across the globe food prices and bills continue to soar.

"The number who say they cannot get to the end of the month makes up 31 percent, compared to 28 percent worldwide.

"In Spain its people are one of the most critical of their government's policy, with 65 percent of the population feeling that their leaders should take more action.

"Only the UK and Italy's populations are ahead in their frustration, with 67 percent believing their policy makers should do more."

    https://bbqboy.net/why-cant-expats-and-locals-get-along-stories-from-spain-and-mexico/

    ...

"But we’ve realized that the more Expats there are in a place, the harder it is to make local friends. We see this here in Nerja. Yes, locals are friendly – but the more expats there are in a community, the greater the divide and stress between expats and locals. And sometimes you see little microaggressions pop up in daily interactions that make you realize that real feelings about foreigners are often hidden (oftentimes barely hidden) under the surface. Sometimes it’s when getting to know someone like “Luis” that you get to know what locals really think of foreigners (and most likely of you. Now I’m wondering what he’s saying about us…).

"We’ve lived in Nerja almost 2 years now and it’s a foregone conclusion that we’ll never make local friends here. Sure, we have locals we talk to at the store. Nice, friendly people. But they’ll never be friends. The thing about places like Nerja is that the more expats there are, the more people tend to socialize within their cliques: the Irish with the Irish, the Scandinavians with the Scandinavians, the Spanish with the Spanish…"

"Germany’s Energy Crisis: Berlin Police Prepare For Mass Rioting, Looting in Wake of Blackouts"

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2022/...or-mass-rioting-looting-in-wake-of-blackouts/

    "As Germany copes
with a massive energy crisis, the police in the state of Berlin are preparing for large-scale looting and rioting in the wake of possible blackouts.

"The Berlin Police have 'secretly' drafted a 'anti-chaos paper' outlining the measures needs to contain widespread public unrests and riots this winter, German newspaper Die Berliner Zeitung reported Friday.

"The Berlin 'police want to be prepared for the state of emergency,' the newspaper wrote citing a leaked internal document. According to the daily, the authorities were gearing up for 'looting, unrest and attacks on the critical infrastructure' if the electricity supply collapses.

"The largest-selling German newspaper Bild also reported the contents of the leaked police document, describing it as 'confidential.'

    "Phase 1: Price Increase

"... there will be demonstrations and rallies ...

    "Phase 2: Shortage

"Experts predict that this could happen in the coming months: energy sources such as electricity and gas will be rationed. It will only be possible to heat, cook and take a warm shower at certain times. This will also pose a problem for the fire department: people have started using fire to heat their homes – this considerably raises the risk of fires breaking out. (…)

    "Phase 3: Power failure

"According to the document, the police is expecting a “partial failure” of the power supply. However, if the so-called blackout occurs: looting, unrest and attacks on the critical infrastructure is expected. ATMs will be out of order, trains and trams will be left standing on the routes, mobile phone networks will break down. (…)"

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...8326f0-4566-11ed-be17-89cbe6b8c0a5_story.html

"BERLIN — Germans are using too much gas to avoid a potential energy “emergency” this winter, the head of Germany’s national network regulator warned Thursday.

“'Gas consumption increased by too much last week,' said Klaus Mueller, head of Germany’s network agency.

"With the reduction in natural gas flows from Russia amid the war in Ukraine, German officials have urged citizens to cut back on gas usage and conserve energy heading into the colder months.

"Rather than a reduction in gas consumption, figures from the national network regulator show there has been an increase in usage. Last week’s gas consumption among households and small businesses was nearly 10% higher than the average consumption from 2018 to 2021, they said.

“'We will hardly be able to avoid a gas emergency in winter without at least 20% savings in the private, commercial and industrial sectors,' Mueller said. 'The situation can become very serious if we do not significantly reduce our gas consumption.'”

Protests by the usual suspects, Unions, Labour party activists, Woke and Greens and Corbyn supporters.
prices are due to world events including invasion of Ukraine and the blowing up of the gas pipeline, also under development of energy resources by successive UK governments.
Germany shut down all its nuclear power stations and it will take a long time to restart them which wont help Germans over this coming winter, they put too much into having Russian oil and gas, as did the rest of Europe, then the invasion of Ukraine began, oops!, it will take a long time to wean them off Russian oil and gas thats if its even possible.

Malmö has been losing its small Jewish population, and the Simon Wiesenthal Center issued a travel warning due to threats and attacks on Jews from Muslim immigrants. Authorities are also urging women to not be outside alone after dark. Sweden’s official statistics do show increases in “lethal violence” (which includes murder, manslaughter and other deadly assaults) and sexual offenses over the past ten years. Between 2006 and 2015 the incidence of “lethal violence” does fluctuate, but there is a sharp 65 percent spike from 2012 to 2015. In the same period, there was also an almost 49 percent increase in sexual offenses (a category including, among other offenses, rape).

"'We've made the choice to have a bit less inflation and more debt,' said economist Sylvain Bersinger with consultancy Asteres.

"'The consumer wins, but the taxpayer loses. There's no magic wand.'

"Calling high inflation a 'poison for democracy', Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said on Monday that the fight against rising prices was France and Europe's biggest challenge, as he presented his 2023 budget."

"ENERGY CRISIS: Gas prices down but restocking EU tanks in 2023 looks more difficult than 2022"

    https://www.intellinews.com/energy-...n-2023-looks-more-difficult-than-2022-260103/

Quotes from article are in color yellow-green:

Gas prices in Europe have been tumbling thanks to a combination of gas tanks 93% full, mild weather in October, a significant reduction in consumption and an economic slowdown in China. But that won’t last once the cold weather arrives and experts say that with Nord Stream pipelines permanently out of action, Europe could face an even more severe energy crisis than this year.

The front-month contract at the Dutch TTF gas hub dipped to close to €113 per MWh ($1,200 per 1,000 cubic metres) on October 18, representing its lowest level since June, as a result of warmer than usual weather, and ample LNG supply.

The fact that gas tanks are near full, and the consumption of the stored gas has not yet started, plus there are a number of LNG ships moored off Europe’s coasts that can’t unload because there is little spare storage, will bring the prices down irrespective of expectations of what future demand will be. Market sentiment also plays a role.

Indeed, this is visible on the TTF future’s market, where prices are higher.

That is due to the need to replenish the storage tanks in the summer of 2023 with even more gas than this year. Experts estimate that Europe will need to import a total of 210bn cubic metres of gas in 2023, 60 bcm more than this year, which itself was 60 bcm more than the gas imported in 2021.

Gas available has been reduced by 55 bcm of Russian gas following the destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines in September. Somehow this hole needs to be filled.

In 2021 the US operators had a total export capacity of 141 bcm and ran it at full throttle. That capacity was reduced after an accident at Freeport, the main export route for US LNG headed to Europe, but this should come back online in the fourth quarter of this year. But that will only add some 6 bcm to US export capacity.

While both the US and Qatar have projects to increase the volumes of LNG they produce and export, none of these will be ready before 2025 at the earliest.

There is very little wiggle room to increase Europe’s indigenous supplies. Norway supplies some 128 bcm a year to Europe and this year increased production by 8%, but there are no more big gains to be made in Norway in the short term.

Holland’s giant Groningen field could add another 20 bcm, but the Dutch government is reluctant to bring it back into production because of the danger of causing earthquakes.

Further reductions are possible. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called on members to reduce gas consumption by 15% in July, and according to think-tank Bruegel consumption has already fallen by 7% since then.

The biggest part of the shortfall could be covered by a concerted effort to reduce consumption further – a reduction of gas consumption in Europe by 15% could save as much as 75 bcm. But the base-case scenario is the market will regulate the supplies of gas and while supply remains so tight the price of gas is likely to remain high.

“Let's enjoy the fact for now that natural gas has to clear daily within its physical infrastructure, which is storage constrained. The real challenge, however, will be to pull enough LNG into Europe come 2023,” says Stahel. “For that, prices must do the work.”

Europe seems to "collapse" every 40 to 60 years doesn't it. Is Germany having a problem? All to often as the rest of Europe seems to fall, Germany strengthens, and in the past Germany makes a grab and France surrenders...and another generation of young British and American men have to go, fight and die for their freedom.

It is interesting to watch the collapse of Europe . The idiocy of the various countries leadership is obvious for preppers to observe . Striking also is the peasants that actually go along with the fantasy , portrayed by the Climate change enthusiast . The United States has even more idiotic leadership . The crash is coming . --- I am not saying climate change is not real but am saying the cure idiots present as the solution is a world of fantasy . We may not be able to control what the idiots do , but can control our own Destiney by facing problems and preparing for the incoming problem .

Germany's debt to GDP is far healthier than several European countries. Scandinavian countries are OK, but in relation to Germany, their economies are small. Deutsche Bank got into some serious trouble lately. They laid-off hundreds of workers. But now, I believe that they are above water. Who knows, governments cover-up this sort of thing. In the U.S., banks are not required to report their economic status (else there would be a panic).

Thing is, Germany and France cannot keep on propping-up the rest of Europe. Example, the banks of Italy, Spain, and Greece are dead meat. What to do? Print "money"!

We'll see how this winter goes. Countries are attempting to protect their people from unbearable fuel/heating costs by handing-out "money", but this just means higher taxes which will further slow-down their economies.

Inevitably, the Ponzi scheme of fiat currency will perish. It will be deflation and concomitant economic standstill, or it will be hyperinflation. Pick your poison. "The king has no clothes" = the people panic. And maybe they should given that they have no gold, silver, bullets, nor beans ... add their utter lack of self-sufficiency. As we preppers know, urbanites do not even know how to grow a garden ... and even if they did, they own no land that is their own ... and no tools.

So, I'm a farmer post-SHTF. I'm selling my crops locally and for REAL money, i.e. barter or precious metals with which I can buy farm supplies and fuel. I can't afford to truck my products to cities. The government will tell farmer Fred to take government newly-printed alternative currency. Farmer Fred will simply say, "Go shove your new fake currency."

The government declares martial law. So what? Who will enforce it?! The government won't be able to pay soldiers and besides, these men will abandon post to attend to their blood kin. Welcome to Human Nature 101. Read most any history book. Soldiers abandon their posts. Russian soldiers today are abandoning their posts and not showing up for required service.

    https://toughnickel.com/personal-finance/Silver-Coins-Value-Used-as-Bullion-During-Hyperinfation

When we talk "SHTF", that is NOT one scenario, it has dozens upon dozens of permutations. At one end of the spectrum is a world-wide nuclear war to include the cobalt, "doomsday", bombs (half-life is 5 years = no crops & no farmers). At the other end of the spectrum are regional wars, economic depressions/collapses, and geophysical events (America's west coast is toast due to plate tectonics / mondo-earthquke-central). Humans are pack animals (no one person can be a doctor, builder, engineer, farmer, ...) and so thus we barter. During the worst of times, even during the Holocaust, people bartered and used silver and gold as currency when government's "currency" was finished/kaput/fin/tot. Humanz iz humanz. History exposes human psychology for what it is ... and for what it isn't.

We are watching Goliath fall in slow motion.

"Eritrean Arrested After Children Walking to School Stabbed Outside Asylum Home, Killing One"

    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/20...hool-stabbed-outside-asylum-home-killing-one/

"Police officers in the German town of Illerkirchberg have arrested a 27-year-old Eritrean asylum seeker accused of stabbing two young teenage girls on their way to school, killing one.

"The alleged knife attack took place at 7 am on Monday morning in the town of just 4,700 people and saw the two teen girls, aged just 13 and 14, walk past an asylum home to their bus stop on their way to school where a man allegedly ran at the pair with a knife and stabbed them.

"The main suspect in the stabbing, a 27-year-old Eritrean asylum seeker, is said to have stabbed 14-year-old Ece S. in the stomach and injured 13-year-old Nerea M. in the chest. The girls were later taken to a local hospital where the elder teen died of her injuries, the newspaper Bild reports.

“'There the girl was bleeding on the ground with a huge stab wound in her stomach. A second had injuries below the chest, a stab wound,' a witness to the attack told a local broadcaster.

"This is not the first major criminal incident that has been linked to this exact asylum home in Illerkirchberg. In 2019, four migrants from Iraq and Afghanistan took a 14-year-old German girl from the nearby city of Ulm to the asylum accommodation, drugged her, and then took turns raping the minor. The men involved were sentenced to only a little more than two years each by a court, Zeit reported at the time.

"This case is also just the latest in which an asylum seeker has been accused of killing a teen girl in Germany since the 2015 migrant crisis. In 2016, Afghan migrant Hussein Khavari raped and murdered 19-year-old Maria Ladenberger and was found guilty of her murder in 2018 and sentenced to life in prison.

"In 2018, 20-year-old failed Iraqi asylum seeker Ali Bashar was arrested for the murder of Jewish faith 14-year-old Susanna Feldman, who was found dead near railway tracks in the city of Wiesbaden.

"Earlier this year in July, a 35-year-old Syrian migrant was arrested for the murder of 17-year-old Tabitha E. who was reported missing from her home in the town of Asperg and found dead just five days later.

"Child Rapist Migrant to Remain in Germany After Antifa Minister Blocks Deportations"

    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/20...ny-after-antifa-minister-blocks-deportations/

"A foreign migrant who has been convicted of raping a child in Germany is to remain in the country after its pro-Antifa Interior Minister blocked his deportation.

"A migrant convicted of raping a 14-year-old in 2019 has been released from prison after efforts to deport the criminal back to his home country were blocked by the country’s Interior Minister, Nancy Faeser.

"Afghan rapists are not the only men that are reportedly banned from being deported under Nancy Faeser’s Interior Ministry, with Die Welt reporting that officials have also been forbidden from removing probable Islamic terrorists from Germany.

"For example, the publication notes Baden-Württemberg State Secretary of Justice Siegfried Lorek as writing to Faeser calling for deportations to Afghanistan to allow radical Islamic extremists to be safely removed from the country.

"Lorek notes that one man due to be released from prison has been classified as posing a high Islamic terror risk to the general public.

“'Due to the existing radicalization and clear willingness to use violence, plans for attacks are to be expected,' the local official reportedly told Faeser in a letter sent late last year.

"When asked to comment on the current situation, Markus Häußler, the mayor of the town where the 14-year-old was gang raped by foreign migrants, expressed anger over the fact that the migrant sex offender has once again been released to roam Germany."

"Europe to See ‘Hundreds of Thousands’ More Migrants Arrive Over Winter Months – Claim"

    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/20...ore-migrants-arrive-over-winter-months-claim/

“'Hundreds of thousands' of migrants, many said to be coming from Ukraine, are now expected to arrive in Europe over the coming months, the head of one NGO has claimed.

"Jan Egeland, the secretary-general of the Norwegian Refugee Council, has claimed that 'hundreds of thousands' more migrants from war-torn Ukraine will likely arrive in Europe over the coming months.

"While many EU member states continue to wrestle with either addressing or silencing these concerns, Egeland believes the situation is likely to get even worse due to winter weather and Russian strikes rendering much of Ukraine 'unlivable'.

"However, while a huge number of arrivals in Western Europe are legitimate Ukrainian refugees, not all are. According to the Financial Times, the number of migrants arriving from north Africa, the Middle East and Asia is at its highest level since the 2015-2016 European migrant crisis.

"Furthermore, some politicians have expressed concern that many refugees ostensibly arriving from Ukraine actually have their origin in another country, with one publication in the country claiming that as many as one in three alleged Ukrainian refugees in France actually comes from somewhere else.

“'[T]oday a third of the refugees who pass through Ukraine who do not come from Ukraine, but… come from sub-Saharan Africa in particular… [they] use this new migratory route to come to Europe,' French MEP Nicolas Bay previously remarked, seemingly in reference to the research."

"Macron’s France: Almost All Serious Crimes Increased in 2022"

    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/20...-almost-all-serious-crimes-increased-in-2022/

"France’s Interior Ministry released the 2022 statistics on crime on Tuesday, noting that sexual violence, domestic violence, drug use, and intentional assault and battery had all increased by over 10 per cent compared to 2021.

"According to the statistics, domestic violence increased by 16.9 per cent, intentional assault increased by 15.3 per cent, and sexual violence increased by 11.4 per cent, newspaper Le Parisien reports.

"The report also noted an increase in kidnappings between rival drug networks, with some victims even being kidnapped in neighbouring Belgium and being left for dead after being brought across the border.

"A previous report released in 2021 revealed that between 2000 and 2020, France’s homicide rate increased by 91 per cent, with some comparing the growing deadly violence in France to the situation in the United States.

"The rise in criminality has led many French to fear for their own safety in their day-to-day lives, with a poll released in December noting that two-thirds of French people are concerned about safety issues and often worry about the issue.

"While the statistics do not go into detail bout the causes of the increased criminality across France, Paris police have sounded alarms over the role of migrant minors in crime in the French capital.

"Police say the migrant minors — or migrants claiming to be minors, at least — were behind as much as 44 per cent of pickpocketing and 32 per cent of robberies with violence in 2020, despite being a small fraction of the overall population of the city. "

Sweden's citizens are denied the right to self-defense with a firearm; meanwhile, migrant gangs are armed with fully-automatic military rifles and grenades.

"Gang crime in Sweden: Multiple explosions"

    https://newsingermany.com/gang-crime-in-sweden-multiple-explosions/

"In Stockholm there have been several explosions. An explosive device exploded in front of a business building in the northwest of the Swedish capital early Wednesday morning, and on Tuesday there was an explosion in front of a restaurant in the central district of Södermalm. The police have launched an investigation and no one was injured in either case.

"90 percent of explosives incidents go unsolved

"The incidents are attributed to gang crime by Swedish experts. Accordingly, the gangs are increasingly violent and do not shy away from explosive attacks. Homemade explosive devices or hand grenades, most of which come from the area of the former Soviet Union, are mainly used. However, the authors usually remain unknown. According to the newspaper 'Svenska Dagbladet', 90 percent of all explosive incidents remained unsolved."

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...holm-suburb-gun-crime-spirals-drug-gangs.html

"A frightened mother, who lives in the block, told MailOnline: 'It was crazy. It wasn't a small gun. It was a Kalashnikov.

"The flat is the home of the ex-girlfriend of a well-known rapper, but she is no longer with him. The attack appears to have been a scare tactic.

"Sweden has seen at least 15 incidents of homes being sprayed with bullets and a similar number of bombings in the last six weeks as drug gangs, mainly from immigrant communities, battle for control of the streets.

"In the latest atrocity to hit the country once known for its peaceful tolerance, a 15-year-old migrant was 'executed' with a shot to the head as he sat in a sushi restaurant in a shopping centre south of Stockholm.

"A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of his murder while a 17-year-old has been held for allegedly aiding and abetting the murder by enticing Ali to the restaurant.

"A 16-year-old is in custody on suspicion of protecting the shooter.

"Ali's family moved from their home in a crime-ridden suburb of Skogäs to a new first floor apartment around 20 miles away in Rönninge several weeks before he was gunned down."

Europe seems to sort of selfdestruct every so often. They are actually past due for a blow up now and have been for a few decades. There are so many vastly different cultures in a awful small area.

Texas alone is a huge place but even though we have many very different cultures there we also have a shared unifying culture. Many of us with roots going back several generation are sort of Texan first and American second. That does not make us any less patriotic, we just have more than one set of roots.

I wish Texas the best. Davy Crockett was raised about 20 miles from where I was raised. Same culture ... originally. Texans should better screen outsiders before letting them settle in Texas. Boot the liberals. Cowboy boot the liberals. Pest Control 101.

As for California, coastal Oregon, and coastal Washington state, they should start their own country, their own socialist utopia.

New England should become just what their name implies. Let'm start a socialist democracy (mob rule; hurrah!).

The rest of us in Heartland America will keep the Constitution, grow food, develop energy ... do the best we can and not attempt to save the rest of the world from itself. If we are poor, well, so were our ancestors. They made a decent life here and were, let's face it, a whole lot happier than today's American "rich".

Amerikans currently have things. They've lost their souls. Poor trade-off if you ask me.

As a prepper, I see farmers as the good folk. I support them and totally so. The Creator's eternal blessings be upon them and if they ever need gunz & ammo, then I'll be there for them (many rifles/ammo I store to be of service to the righteous; me, I'm aging-out; saving my life?; what's to save :D;)). Had a work-mate who provided armed protection to ranchers in the 1970s. Beef prices went crazy high back then. Cattle rustlers came out of the woodwork; they'd drive up in trucks with cattle trailers and steal cattle. Work-mate sat in waiting with his .35 Remington lever. He didn't tell me much. I didn't ask. ;););)

"Dutch Pro-Farmer Populist Leader Predicts Elections This Year, Globalist Govt Coalition ‘Unsustainable’"

    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/20...ons-this-year-ruttes-coalition-unsustainable/

"The leader of the insurgent pro-farmer party that shook the foundations of Dutch politics said that she believes the coalition government is not on firm ground and that she expects elections within the year.

"Following her first meeting with Prime Minister Mark Rutte after last week’s shock elections, Farmer–Citizen Movement (BBB) leader Caroline van der Plas, said: “I feel that Rutte has listened. Whether he also heard what I said, we’ll see.”

"The plain-speaking half-Irish former journalist turned political insurgent said that the four-party coalition forming Rutte’s government, which saw their seats in the 75-member senate fall from 32 to 22, is likely to break apart, the Rotterdam-based newspaper Algemeen Dagblad reported.

"Indeed, CDA leader and cabinet member Wopke Hoekstra has already signally a potential break from the government on the controversial EU-driven nitrogen fertiliser reforms that spurred the BBB party to victory last week."
    ---------------------

The ungodly globalists must go away ... by any means necessary. Were globalism about returning life to the Will of our Creator, I'd be on-board, big time. However, the globalists are atheist egotistical materialists. They imagine themselves to by god-like. This is repugnant. This is Forbidden.

I see Traditional farmers as the good guys , but not the mono cropping agribusinesses, they are just raping the land and its only the copious use of chemicals that ensure another crop can be grown, that might be food growing but its not "farming" as I know and love it, and its not the farming my family and my wife(who was in farming when younger) even recognise.

agreed, but there is a limit to how much land is available for growing food (especially on an island like here) and this gets less and less as the number of people increases, eventually something has to give. even industrial agriculture has its limits.

"Hungary, Poland reject ‘extremely dangerous’ EU natural gas cutback extension"

    https://rmx.news/hungary/hungary-poland-reject-extremely-dangerous-eu-natural-gas-cutback-extension/

“'Brussels is once again stealthily taking powers away from member states,' said Hungary’s top diplomat.

"Hungary and Poland have both voted against the European Commission’s new proposal to extend a regulation that requires a 15 percent reduction in the use of natural gas from member states, said Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó at the EU Energy Council in Brussels on Tuesday.

"According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Szijjártó said at a press conference at the summit that the European Commission has come up with a proposal that would again require a reduction in natural gas consumption instead of pursuing more worthwhile goals like investing in infrastructure.

"Such a regulation was already adopted last year despite Hungarian and Polish opposition, but this one poses a greater threat to Europe’s economy. The previous reduction was during the winter period, when it is actually easier to reduce gas consumption. Although this may seem counterintuitive, gas usage during the winter includes residential and commercial building heating, and it is easier to cut gas usage for heating. In the summer, industrial consumption dominates gas consumption, and cutting gas during this period is far more difficult, even if overall consumption is lower.

"Hungary is warning that extended gas cuts into the summer period will directly impact industry."

"Multicultural Malmö: Cars and Building Damaged in Latest Sweden Bombing"

    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/20...nd-building-damaged-in-latest-sweden-bombing/

    Begin quote:

Several cars and a building in the southern multicultural Swedish city of Malmö were damaged in an apparent bombing as gang violence continues across the country.

The alleged bombing took place early Tuesday morning at a car dealership in Amilonsvägen on the outskirts of the city with police being alerted to the blast at around 2 am.

Several cars were damaged as a result of the blast and a building was also damaged, with Patric Fors, a spokesman for the police, telling broadcaster SVT, “The damage to the façade is severe,” but added, “So far, we have no information about what has exploded.”

So far, police say they have made no arrests in connection with the explosion but are considering it a deliberate act of public devastation.

While police have not commented on if the explosion is linked to gang crime, many explosions and bombings across Sweden have been part of ongoing gang conflicts, with the Stockholm region seeing 13 bombings in the first 26 days of this year alone.

A new fatal shooting in the Stockholm region on Tuesday morning is the fourth suspected murder in just five days as the gang violence that exploded since the killing of gangster Mehdi ”Dumle” Sachit on Christmas Day last year shows little sign of slowing down.

According to Stockholm police, a 30-year-old man was hit by multiple gunshots on Tuesday morning and found dead shortly after midnight in a residence. “There were several people in the apartment. One of them was a nine-year-old child,” police commander Fredrik Nilsson said.

The victim is just the latest to be murdered in the last five days as at least two of those killed are said to be the relatives of gang criminals, rather than gangsters themselves.

Europe has been sinking for a long long time. For most of the twentieth century the best and brightest and the, shall we say the most ...adventurous and often thieving members of their lands have been either voluntarily or less than voluntarily migrated out and to places like the USA and Australlia. While a lot of these people were not missed they were nonetheless an important part of Europes genetic wealth that were lost. LOL, at least a couple of the branches of my familly tree came to America via the New Georgia Penal coloney.

That which has happened in Venezuela due to socialist rule will be happening in Western nations. Inflation is up, however Western currencies still have value. Russia and China are buying mass quantities of gold, plus they are succeeding in international trade agreements that are not monetized in dollars. Fiat currency can't be created out of thin air fast enough. Western Nations will have their economies collapse, it's just a matter of time.

Re: batteries, I switched to rechargeable Eneloop Pro AA and AAA a few years ago, they will hold at the least an 85% capacity after a year and tests show 75% after ten years storage. These are very well sealed so you can vac pac them but don't vac pac standard batteries as they are prone to leakage.
