This is mostly for the members residing in the U.S.A. What are members thoughts on what all is going on in Virginia in regards to citizens 2nd amendment rights and/or the looming violations of individuals rights. I live in West Virginia and have relatives and friends living in Virginia. I know many of the counties are passing laws making themselves sanctuary counties, prohibiting the state from confiscating legally owned firearms from citizens. The states new governor is determined to take as many firearms apparently as possible. There is talk of armed resistance. I'm worried as to what may happen. Could civil conflict in Virginia, spread to other areas of the nation? The governor has publicly stated he will use the national guard to enforce gun confiscations. This could get ugly fast. Thoughts, opinions, additional info...

Collectivist cities have declared themselves sanctuary cities where foreign nationals -- who have no legal paperwork allowing them to be in America -- can hide-out. These cities hope to be able to use these people to inevitably vote against keeping the U.S. Constitution as the law of the land. These collectivists wish the people of America to be ruled by their social "superiors". This is what our Founding Fathers were fighting against.

Now county sheriffs across the nation are declaring their counties "sanctuary counties" where firearm owners can find refuge should government jackboots begin arresting patriots.

Each soldier will have to make that decision individually. Some won't show up and others will draw the line at firing upon fellow Americans. The officers will be a big factor as they will remember Nuremburg. They all took an oath and many, hopefully most, will honour that oath.

This is one of the issues that may be as clear as mud. The governor may be able to get his unconstitutional laws passed in Virginia and attempt his gun grab before this goes to the supreme court. I wonder if the National Guard leadership will obey an unlawful order that violates the constitution or will give orders to their subordinates to enforce those laws and possibly attack citizens to accomplish that mission.. A lot to think about.

    Good morning Dale and all,

    Ref: "thoughts ... Virginia ... ";

I am in Virginia and living one of the ~ 20 rural counties declaring itself a "sanctuary" county - with the important caveats as to what is lawful and what is not without a clear discussion on who determines this.

The Governor announced, besides the Virginia National Guard, the Virginia State Police will be deployed if counties interfere with the administration of state laws. Also announced is that state disbursements to these counties will stop. This affects certain public safety aspects of a county's administration and the state aspects of the criminal justice system ... basically, if I may generalize - and I am NOT knowledgeable on this - law enforcement agencies and the court system.

My view is that all this is a political matter and not a legal one. This is a distinction requiring familiarity with both rural Virginia and the more urban Virginia. There are 2 main "camps" on this subject in Virginia. Only 1 of these camps participates in the political process. The other camp will only attend local area rallies and events. The results are in and getting finalized.

In my opinion the environment will NOT generate any mass violence. Much of this matter is framed toward "safety" and not toward private ownership and possession and firearms. One safety aspect is call the "red flag" laws. "Red flag" is an alert, a warning. One red flag in the Virginia news is that someone who is prescribed certain RX pharma must be denied possession of a firearm. The opposition camp calls this the "slippery slope".

Virginians are governed from Richmond. Virginians are ruled from Fairfax County.

A quote: "The results are in and getting finalized".

Hi P, I have family in Richmond, Norfolk and Roanoke and very familiar with the difference between eastern, VA and western, VA.. Some of the info they are passing on to me sounds like there are some "VERY ANGRY" Virginians. Do you have any info on anyone challenging this in the courts yet?

I've read about this and it sounds like a recipe for disaster if you ask me. Whether this actually sparks another American civil war or even a Revolutionary war, I don't know. I know that sounds far fetched, but it does seem like the powder keg is ready to burst. The left-wing swamp rats are really making one consider the Gadsden flag, let me tell you.

Now about that Med crap. Everyone, hear me EVERYONE has had or is having a mental health issue of some sort. Call it depression, anxiety, etc. It really is a slippery slope. For me personally, I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia and I have voluntarily went to the hospital almost ten years ago now. I was at Ace Hardware one day and told the clerk at the gun counter my situation and asked him if there was anything on this document I have to sign before I can purchase a gun that would preclude me from owning one. He said no. Mainly because I voluntarily went to a hospital. Now if I was court ordered it be a different story. Now what these gun grabbing assholes want to do is say that anyone taking X medication whether it be for depression, etc are nullified from owning a firearm and protecting themselves or even shooting a deer or elk, etc for food. I call that rank political bullshit. And people with a mental health issue are in fact the most vulnerable. Do I own a gun? No. But I have a flare gun near by and several other weapons including an 80lbs crossbow. Better than nothing I guess...

The issue with these touchy-feely liberal scum is that they want to approach school shootings and what have you with a broad sword when it is a scalpel that needs to be used. Just look at Shitcago FFS. How's their laws working out? How about the Las Vegas shooting? Man by all accounts was not mentally ill that we so far know of and owned his MASSIVE stash legally. Then in London you can't own a firearm, then they are now going after knives. Are you flipping kidding me?!

The problem is a culture of corruption, the absence of true patriotism, self worth and the trickle down affect on a society by scumbag lawmakers who create the laws that people have to live by.

Let me explain. You have so many damn taxes and Congress spends to no end that inflation is through the proverbial roof. What does that mean? A trickle down affect that affects Joe working man and his livelihood. It used to be the man went to work to put food on the table and the wife stayed home with the kids. Now both parents have to work because the damn dollar can't by shit anymore because of inflation all due to Congress. Now understand this has an affect on society as a whole from the core family on down. We are rotting away from the center and we owe the bank of China massive amounts of money. Plus they bend us over without so much of a reach around in the form of our jobs and GDP. The Chinese have been major trading partners on the world stage since the Chinese Junk ship, the spice trade and the silk road. They know this biz, believe me. What's Trump trying to do about it? Level the trading game and with good reason. I learned way back in 7th grade world history that any country that has a lopsided trading system tends to fail. Not only are politicians creating a societal psychological F-up, but a countryman's way of life is at peril.

To summarize, this massive cluster F has been going on for a looooong time and that powder keg I talked about is going to blow. Perhaps it's for the best. If it should ever happen, by God I will command the meanest, baddest battalion of renegades this country has EVER seen since Andrew Jackson. And I will F-ing DIE protecting my Constitutional rights that countless men and woman fought, bleed and died for.

One nation - under GOD - indivisible - with liberty - and justice FOR ALL!

    Good afternoon Dale,

I haven't heard of any big court case filings as yet. It will surely be national news.

Yes, many angry folks here. Of course much of this was - or could have been - anticipated when the new government got sworn in.

None of those laws really have anything to do with "safety".
Crime rates are at historic lows without them.

It's just an excuse for confiscation without due process.

"Red flag" is a buzz phrase used to scare people into thinking there is some danger involved when much of the time there is none at all.

It's the media and the Govt pushing their never ending agenda of disarmament.

I will challenge you guys to watch on You Tube " The Common Sense Show " I am not sure how accurate this guy's information is but on one of his shows he is reporting various Mercinary teams in the Colorado area . One such team a 12 man sniper team with some serious sniper rifles . They seemed to be friendly enough letting a bystander at the shooting range shoot one of their sniper rifles . Another team is a group of foreign Muslims with bar codes tattooed on the side of their necks . One theory they are preparing to take out electrical transformers . I know this sounds too off the wall to be true so just check it out for yourself . I am not sure of the viability of this report .

It's possible to take out transformers that way, but it's not a reliable or efficient way.

It is just a matter of time before the far left either force the US into some sort of civil war OR allows enough terrorists into the country for them to take down our infrastructure. I honestly think that this is part of their plan. when things collapse they will declare martial law and take over. Once in power, they will nEVER let go. The next time that they have a liberal in the White House and enough votes in the houses they will bring it on...Their ambition is nothing short of the destruction of our nation. Even now they are trying to make the vote and will of the American people a thing of the past. If THEY disapprove of the choice of the people than they will try to overturn that with endless impeachment trials. If they are successful that will be the final death knell of American democracy. At this time the Republicans seem to be either complaisant or just too weak-minded to do the job that they were elected to do.

When Genghis Khan and his band of merry men invaded European city-states, they at first did NOT actually attack the cities with armed force. They diverted rivers so as to deny the cities their water supply. Walls are neat, yet if their is no water flow, then you are rather screwed.

Today's cities are utterly dependent on food and fuel shipments. Railroads and trucking and pipelines and electrical feeds can be disrupted. Urbanites are very self-sufficient and can make their own and grow their own, right?!

Our infrastructure is fragile and mostly unprotected. If anyone wanted to attack us they would start with bridges, dams, power plants and water plants. The Megacities wouldn't last a week without water and power. They actually failed on 911 when they blew the twin towers. They had hoped to terrify us but instead, they just PISSED us off. Most Americans had never been up in a skyscraper. As bad as 911 was it could have been so much worse if they had put that same effort into other targets. How long would Las Vegas last if they took out the Hoover Dam. That would mean no water and no power for a city of somewhere around 650 thousand residents and who knows how many visitors. The water supply for NYC could also be hit and blown. It could be reaired but could NYC survive a month without water? If they blew the power transfer plants all around Chicago in the dead of winter how many would freeze to death?

    Good morning TexDanm,

"In general, one should not generalize." Anon.

    Ref: "Our infrastructure is fragile and mostly unprotected";

Those aspects of infrastructure deemed critical and non-critical but "hardened" are far from being fragile now. They are protected. It's not always visible to the public but strengthened and fortified.

I can't comment on the Hoover Dam and its area because no longer familiar other than to say the Imperial Valley nearby causes more problems than it is worth maintaining.

I will say - and ask you to check for familiarization -
    - Houston Ship Channel
    - LOOP Louisiana Offshore Oil Port
    - Strategic Petroleum pools (Gulf Coast + ships arriving + US controlled overseas refineries [eg Bantry Bay, Ireland])

    Next:
I am making the distinction here that "all" is not necessary involving the "megacities". It's correct that New York City could not last for a week without water and power . . . yet, JFK airport is far from being a critical aspect within the NATIONAL PICTURE. NYC's numerous high rise apartment buildings, beside not being critical infrastructure, create more problems than resources allocated to keep the buildings functioning. NYC, the nation's financial capital does have critical infrastructure focused to Manhattan. The private sector financial firms and the governmental - especially the NY Federal Reserve Bank - are hardened with all (I am using the word "all" with caveats-other arrangements exist that I don't know about) having nearby emergency relocation centers north and northwest of Manhattan.

Virginia Beach is a necessary as is Key Largo.

San Francisco and greater bay area is addressed as to what's important.

Chicago has a complexion like NYC and has similar hardened arrangements,

The REAL US military and their facilities are critical and hardened with their support systems also hardened.

Much of our national environment is not necessary such as coastal highways. We have overcapacity in commercial ports, in university buildings (What's the difference between a hotel/motel and a dormitory?)

Much is, admittedly, not prepared that would save life and $$$ such as the neglected Intercoastal Waterway and a field hospital system to cover more of the citizenry. Still, this place is set up and improving on a daily basis.

Concrete gravity dams are MUCH harder to destroy (almost impossible) than the majority of the public realizes. A terrorist surface attack would do cosmetic damage at most. A dam the size of Hoover would be a useless target for terrorist.

The USA's size, complexity and sheer distances are a primary security for most of our energy and transport infrastructure. Only if terrorist can get hundreds of members here, equipped and have excellent communications without any of our intelligence and law enforcement agencies knowing, would they have any chance of a major strike on our infrastructure.

Hard targets are hard to destroy, which includes energy, military, etc. but our soft targets are what needs hardening and some can cause more damage than others. What happens if CDL drivers are hit with a disease?

What you've shown is the simple truth of the matter. Facts are facts. Urban areas without supply lines are dead meat. Too, normal human behavioral patterns become unrecognizable when people are confronted with hunger, thirst, deprivations of all sort. When it hits the fan, throw out "nice". If we have a slow/evolving SHTF event(s), then watch what is currently going on down in Venezuela. Some folk will get what they need, however the vast majority will go without. In the latter scenario, the death spiral is simply slower. It's stock-up or starve -- and I'm not talking cities; city dwellers will be robbed.

    Good afternoon Dale,

Real good info - especially the truck chart.

I can only guess that CDL truckers are getting upgraded in re their health viability concerning disease. I know the Military Sealift Command now requires all their crews (Civil Service) to receive the anthrax vaccination. Would guess MSC ships are the testing grounds for the rest of our transport folks.

Much going on; difficult to keep up with all this.

The water supply for NYC is 125 miles away. Any break anywhere along that path would be disastrous. Terrorists brought down the towers it is possible that the same level of effort might take out this long pipeline. Bridges are massively important to the flow of goods and many of our bridges are getting old and might be damaged enough to make them unusable. If the problem was access to one place that wouldn't be too bad but if you had problems all over our ability to cope might be rapidly lost. People in big urban areas are GOING to riot if there is a problem that can't be fixed FAST!!

There are transformer stations all over the place. If enough of them were blown at about the same time it is possible that the cascading effect might spread the problem into other areas. We have a just massively complex system in this country that allows us to very efficiently move from crops in the fields to food on the shelves in stores. They have had endless struggles in Russia trying to get a similar system up with a still limited level of success.

I fear that if ours stumbled and went down that getting it back up might be a Humpty Dumpty sort of problem. These are all just the physical side of potential problems. Almost ALL of them are also now dependent on all sorts of computer control and guidance and you can bet that our enemies are searching for ways to corrupt that system. Banks used to close at 2 because it took 3 hours to close their books and balance things. Can you IMAGINE a bank trying to keep books now with pencils and paper? Imagine any major city with all of the traffic lights out.

My concern is that I can envision a series of small problems that caused expanding problems. Lights out in inner cities equal riots and fires. The bigger the city to more complex the system that powers, feeds, waters and allows that city to live. A bull in a bullfight is killed by the Matador's s sword but only after he was bled and tormented by others to weaken him before the matador even steps foot in the arena.

P, I haven't been in the "game" for many years now and was only a pipehitter then. I was trained in target evaluation and I pray that todays terrorist organizations never get good at that. We are an easy target but only if you know what to look for and how to best exploit that weakness.

I have family members that have drove semi trucks most of their lives. I don't believe the government has any preventive measures planned for short term implementation. I hope I'm wrong.

TexDanm, You may be right about the aqueduct for NYC. I guess a lot would depend on how much of it is underground and whether NYC has multiple sources of water available.

Bridges are not the easy target most think they are. I've assisted with blowing 2 bridges and my brother is a Master Blaster. It takes a lot more explosives to bring down a bridge or even just disable a bridge than most people think. To bring down multiple bridges (enough to effect commerce) would require tons of military grade high explosives plus 100's of trained individuals taking multiple days (for each bridge) to try to accomplish that mission. Pretty impossible for a terrorist group in the USA.

If were lucky, terrorist will continue with what I will call conventional tactics. They will never bring down the country that way.

    Dale,
I've been thinking the same. I still have a lot of friends in VA and they are all big 2A. I honestly could see VA become the next Lexington and Concord. If that Governor tries pulling the Guard into this to force it... It could get bloody and fast. It amazes me how these asshat politicians now want to stand and say "the law is the law" while still saying that illegals and cities that hide and protect them are somehow saintly.

The 'ol tree of Liberty could be fixing to get a drink. I don't think these morons realize they have the match lit and it is hovering dangerously close under the fuse. If it does touch off I'm wondering not only about spreading (like here in PA the Govtard is trying to push similar laws) but people from surrounding States moving in to provide support and additional freedom fighters.

The pro 2nd A folks I know are prepping for something I wouldn't have believed possible 40 years ago. I fear that if the supreme court doesn't get involved fast, this shit is going to get out of hand fast. Blood will flow. As angry as the country is, I fear this may be a trigger event and the blood won't stop flowing.

    Good morning TexDanm,

You've touched on a theme I've been pushing for some time now. ALL areas and their aspects are not deemed critical. Glance at a couple of our major cities.

New York City's JFK airport is not "critical". It's on the exact path of Hurricane Alley's hurricanes and can not be depended on. This airport has been on the backburner for replacement. The city's large residential apartment buildings house about 1 million disabled requiring the care-giver assistants, the Meals-on-Wheels programs, the trips for dialysis, the other doctor appointments and all the rest. This is the recipe for an evacuation. Drinking water won't even enter the equation because of the pre-existing health care delivery requirements. Riots and fires are anticipated. What will be protected are the financial/banking institutes of Manhattan and their evacuation routes to their emergency operations centers northwest of NYC.

Look at San Francisco. What is critically important from a national perspective ? SFO fits the mold of NYC.

I hold the public evacuation plan for Washington, D.C. It is better quality humor than any MAD Magazine ever published. At pre-alert, Federal employees go to their assigned locations. The rest of the knowledgeable have already left for West Virginia.

I've heard that the Federal financial institutes eg Federal Reserve Board, relocating to Culpepper, Virginia, have off-line computer networks for the big ticket items to be processed. I'm ignorant re this field but do know if something exists that can assist a response and recovery, the pinstripe folks have it.

Of course there will be major catastrophic problems. No surprises here.

The weakness, in my opinion, is Emergency Support Function 8, "Mass Medical".

P, I'm pretty sure most of us are not considered "critical" by the government. If I remember correctly, if your not "critical personnel" your expendable personnel. I always had issues with that title. Still do.

I do have one favor to ask. Please don't tell people that government personnel "politicians" will be coming to West Virginia in an evacuation. It makes us look bad that we would let them in.

      Just joking. LOL!

    Good morning Dale,

Agree that no short term implementation is pending. At least the matter is recognized. A push to shove national emergency could require all trucks to have 2 drivers and only pre-designated stops. For an emergency, HAZMAT trucks could require an escort vehicle.

I am guessing that one of those DEFCON 1's SHTF situations will have the water routes taking on more truck cargo and free the trucks for the routes with no waterways. The Intercoastal Waterway had (past tense) a 12 ft depth requirement. The decay to our infrastructure took it's toll. The redeeming good news is that the US Army recently introduced a shore landing craft needing only 5 (five) ft of water. Critical infrastructure resupply could be accomplished. Of course my guess is that this new 5 ft draft landing craft was really for a SHTF domestic environment.

    Good morning Dale,

Without West Virginia, our nation would have no de facto seat of government for the capital. Reagan airport is 16 ft above sea level and MCB Quantico is lower. The Pentagon is really a parking lot for Dominos pizza delivery vehicles.

In retirement I'm still active in the emergency community - mostly the Fed and state level, phasing out of county work. From the meetings I attend and my responder work, the picture is something like:

Pre-alert, the First Responders are activated: the LEOs, National Guard, Fire and Rescue, Emergency Medical teams, Emergency commo teams, ... A transition phase - much blending in because First Responders are costly - activates the 2nd tier eg the Citizens Corps (VIPS-Volunteers In Police Service, CERT - Community Emergency Response Team, other orgs), the USCG Aux, the CAP, others related not exclusive to DOD (much blending now), NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations, eg Erik Prince's paramilitary, the volunteer dentists, many SAR (Search and Rescue orgs), many K9 orgs (just took a course /seminar on this).

If you are semi-mobile with no exposed Old Grand Dad bottles, you could be subject to activation of the "Retired Reserve". The new regs are MBO - Management By Objective. Get the assignment accomplished and don't anticipate being invited to the awards ceremony.

You are in the arena of critical personnel.

P, I had made my former comment about WV in jest. Guess I wasn't that funny. I'm personally way past being recalled. They have young men to do that work and men younger than me, just as able to teach it. Pretty sure my value as "Retired Reserve" dropped when the bullet entered.

Most of us have seen decades and decades; lots of folk well over the half-century mark. I think that we all can agree that the anger levels we are witnessing are far higher than seen in a long time. I'm thinking that we are reaching levels in excess of those seen during the Vietnam War. There is anger regarding politics, racial divisions, wealth distribution, and free-floating anger regarding people not having common life goals. We Americans are certainly not "all in it together".

In this environment, it will not take a huge event or events to trigger physical aggression. Should the economy tank, most people will blame others, they'll blame the people they most hate. And folk nowadays have no qualms about redistributing wealth in their own direction.

    America is a tender-box.

In the event of ANY widespread disaster, there is a sort of triage where the need and the numbers are run in the effort to help as many as possible that are in the greatest need. That means that in the immediate period right after a disaster those that live in the more rural areas are going to have to take care of themselves. In the big cities even though they may get the majority of the assistance they will nonetheless probably be in worse shape than the people in the places that are being mostly ignored. When you have millions of people without power and water that are totally dependent on assistance the need to assistance ratio is AWFUL. The other advantage of the more rural areas is that they are already trained to take care of themselves. Call 911 where I live and you might see someone in 45 minutes to an hour IF they can find you. Our fire department is operated totally by local volunteers. We lose our power pretty often and so have alternative sources of light, heat, and cooking.

Any war, whether of civil or international cause is going to make the big citties first strike targets. If the problem is an internal one the same will be mostly true. The big cities are the homes of the liberals and even in Texas the megalopolises are crazy divided. There is a lot of racial tension in those places that just isn't normal in less urban areas. The liberals have disarmed themselves and encouraged the illegal aliens and the gangs to fill their less wealthy areas. The good liberal citizens might now want or have weapons but the criminals DO and they will take over the cities much as they have done and are doing in Mexico. ( By the way, did you know that there is ony ONE gun store in Mexico and that it takes months of paperwork to even be allowed to think about buying one. Their gun laws are massively restrictive and that is why it is so safe in Mexico...NOT!!!)

LOL! Sounds like you have local LEO's like mine. A few years back I called in a theft and they showed up 3 days latter. I told them not to bother. I'd take care of any further issues.

    Good morning Dale,

Believe it or not - I am serious - The new batch of our population is far less skilled than most know about.

I once worked a tidal flood response. A National Guard unit, with their big-wheeled vehicles arrived. The Guardsmen do not know how to read maps (nor did they have any). The environment is bleak.

    Numerous examples besides map-reading.

Keep in mind the heads of those guys are political animal, and they don't think in term of blowing up stuffs, what they think is more about financing and propaganda. Which mean their typical attack will still something small, affordable, and doing it with sheer audacity.

Some more articles concerning counties still loyal to the U.S. Constitution reactions to Virginia's gun confiscation efforts. Hope I'm not repeating too much info.

Citizen militia officially begun in Tazewell County:
    https://nationalfile.com/virginia-c...a-to-resist-red-flag-laws-protect-gun-rights/

Thousands rally to support second amendment sanctuary counties in socialist Virginia:
    https://nationandstate.com/2019/12/14/as-virginia-dems-threaten-gun-bans-sanctuary-movement-spreads/

Above dated on Dec 14th 2019; quote:
"Eight Virginia localities became sanctuaries Thursday night, bringing the total to 93, including 75 of Virginia’s 95 counties and 18 of its legally independent cities."

I found this link within one of the websites above:

    https://freebeacon.com/issues/detro...ing-thousands-of-deceased-registered-to-vote/

"The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), an Indiana-based group that litigates to protect election integrity, filed the complaint Wednesday to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Janice Winfrey, Detroit's city clerk, and George Azzouz, Detroit's director of elections, are named as defendants. The suit alleges that Detroit's voter rolls contain more than 2,500 deceased individuals, nearly 5,000 voters who appear more than once, and 511,786 registered voters in the city where only 479,267 individuals are eligible to vote."

Seems that in burn-the-Constitution, burn-the-Bible Virginia, things are much the same:

Twenty dead folk caught voting in Harrisonburg -- one wonders how many zombies actually did vote. Twenty has to be just the tip of some zombie commie invasion ... and this is just one town.
    https://www.richmond.com/news/virgi...cle_e008ce00-0365-57a2-95c0-4d9aa70012f9.html

In Virginia 5,500 illegal aliens were registered to vote but were found out ONLY by their own admission. Imagine the tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, who are actually registered! How many thousands upon thousands of votes were cast using these fraudulent documents?!

    Good afternoon Old Geezer,

The mentioned new militia in Tazewell County, Virginia is location where someone sold some ammo cans to some Forum Members a few months ago.

Taxewell is southern Appalachia of Virginia. There were plans to build a dental school at Tazewell County with tobacco settlement funds ($19M). The dental school program was cancelled.

I pass through Tazewell to go to some of my volunteer assignments in the deeper areas of Virginia Appalachia. Needless to say but: "Nice Territory". The area is being rehab'ed.

Tell you the God's honest truth, I don't see Scots-Irish hillbillies getting into trucks nor train cattle cars.

The people of Boston turned into sheeple when one enemy soldier and his pathetic brother touched-off a pressure-cooker bomb at the Boston Marathon (how chicken-shi# does it get?!). I remember the "citizens" (read, "serfs") abandoning their homes hands above their heads when the jackboots peed their pants and in a panic shut down the the entire town. Again, over one enemy/terrorist inferior.

What would these Milquetoast people do in a real attack?! I guess they'd just soil their pants and faint.

South of the Mason-Dixon line, the "lowly hillbillies" would have themselves gone a'huntin' for these cowardly terrorist dweebs. All you gotta do is yell, "Open season!"

If anyone comes for me, well then it's my time to go meet my ancestors ... after I get a little work done.

I'm soooooooooooooo tired of this world anyway.

This WV Hillbilly is pretty sure most of his county folk in western Virginia intend to shoot first if the politicians and officials get "rude". The country has been building up to something bad for a long time. Have to wait and see if this dumb ass governor is it.

University psychology professors nowadays question the results of the Milgram experiment. Why? Because they wish to suppress the truth about human nature when one group of people is given physical power over others, i.e. the rape of socialism.

These things couldn't have happened, could they?!:

BioThrax is almost impossible for the general public to get here in Idaho, especially for me, since I'm older than the recommended user profile. However, as a farm animal owners, Dawn and I have an account with several animal health medication providers, and we have made enough purchases of broad-spectrum antibiotics and other remedies that we can use if needed (being married to an RN does have its advantages).

Like most preppers, I know continued health in Hard Times is absolutely key; first aid and even treatment of serious injuries, though, aren't enough. I'm hoping our ongoing acquisition of any and all available drugs, what their real shelf life is under optimum storage conditions, and how and when to use them are things every prepper should know.

I doubt if I'd be able to yank an appendix in an emergency, but knowing how to fight infections, swellings, diarrhea, fever, and the everyday things that we don't worry about with the local pharmacy and clinic open become a lot more important ...

...especially when the corner drugstore or clinic is gone.

    Good morning Duncan,

    https://www.cdc.gov/onehealth/basic...atures/browse/subjects/zoonotic-diseases.html

A great post ! Yes, a dearly-betrothed RN surely eclipses Hillary's cookie baking skills.

The Cold War's first aid kit evolved into the medical kit and now we're at the requirement for emergency medical care in field conditions - a mini- MASH hospital. Every time I'm at Grundy, Appalachia Virginia, site of Virginia school of Pharmacy, ...they participate in our emergency responder programs, I ask about shelf life for my meds/pharma as a Responder with stuff left in a hot truck and in a freezing truck. The shelf life matter reflects so much on our corrupt society.......Less some specifics, like some antibiotics, much is good well beyond the label date.

I'm placing the above CDC link here not only for the specific subject matter, but for the additional hyper links of animal ailments transferring to the human species.

Besides the pharma knowledge - and RX-purchased supplies - recommend for all to add addressing the psychological ailments. One of the best Field Manuals I have is SAMHSA's "Field Guide For Emergency Workers During Disasters". Another excellent pub of their's: "Compassion Fatigue".

True, abdominal is out of the question (for what we're discussing) but some dental matters can be accomplished in the field. Oral health must not be neglected. I've taken a course. The info is "out there" if sought. Typically it takes a club of some sort to acquire this info; not easy for someone to learn this stuff on their own.

We must not neglect the "pharma-type properties" of some foods, eg chocolate, honey, coffee. Some preppers have this organized as both part of their nutrition and medical kit check-off lists.

Only 8 minutes into the video and agree with everything he says so far...about these Ishmaelites.

Herding...he is talking about massive herding of a people in the State.

He is talking about the security of the state...

Not the security of a free state..the people.

The speaker in the video linked above states that he does not believe that the anti-2nd-amendment laws being written in Virginia are political in nature, i.e. not Democrat vs. Republican, not Left vs. Right.

I disagree mightily. What communist China is doing to Hong Kong is what the Democratic Socialist Party of Virginia is doing to the citizens of Virginia. The Leftists wish to turn citizens into serfs of the Commonwealth. Disarmament is the first step.

The wording of these proposed legislative acts specifically mention the need to disable the ability of the people to oppose government. That sort of spiritual blackness is a desecration of the intent of our Founding Fathers to create government subservient to the will of he people. The words of these collectivists are words of war.

When county sheriffs said that they would not enforce such laws and even form civilian militia groups, the Left responded with threats of military action against opposing counties.

Make no mistake, this is a war in the making. I see the situation continuing to heat up and eventually leading to the loss of many lives.

I think he was trying to remove politics from the equation in order to attract both Democrats as well as Republicans to the cause of fighting the legislature. I know there are a lot of Dems who also own firearms and do not want to give them up either.

Good point. Hope so. Yet, I also hope that supporters of socialism become former supporters. The radical shift to the Left of America's "liberal" party could very well lose them tens of millions of voters. Urban Virginia, mainly far northern Virginia plus Richmond, have loads and loads of pathetic government-dependent serfs more than willing to vote in opposition to the Constitution-loving Patriots of the rest of the state. Look at any map of Virginia counties voting Democrat vs. Republican -- only the urban cancers vote Democrat.
