    Good morning all,

    Article about a Pacific Palisades climate scientist not receiving the emergency reports.

    If the scientist's employer is the RAND I think it is, it is understandable why Robert Lempert is a principal researcher for them.

    Meanwhile, if you live in a glass house or a house surrounded by a wood deck near mis-managed forest lands,...take rain dance lessons.

    Mismanaged forests is not climate disaster it is governmental disaster. Sacramento has decreed that there be no proper care around the power lines and elsewhere.

      Spot on!

      Humans behaving as lemmings isn't "climate change." Japanese built a nuclear reactor (Fukushima) on the coast, next to a earthquake fault line -- hundreds of years before, their ancestors carved on monoliths, "Don't build from here to the coast!" USA has built reactors on faults. Los Angeles was built in a desert basin. Before "civilization", it was known that Florida was little more than a sandbar covered in swamps. Pine forests naturally have burnoffs and without them the tree seeds can't germinate. "Hey, wouldn't it be neat if we built our house in a pine forest!" Ron White -- "You can't fix stupid."

    Completely agree.

    Much of what we discuss here is not really natural calamity. It's about poor quality government and a lazy citizenry.

    I have seen the nation change.
