What people think is art these days, I don't know. Anyone see that banana taped to a wall so-called "art" crap? It sold for like 250k. Had I known I would have done the same thing and be 250k richer.

Listen, I bought one of these kits! I love it. On two separate occasions, this kit saved my life! I recently visited Lucy. We held each other and cried.

I take royal umbrage to anyone who would disparage this wise and noble young woman's designs! She's surely the sharpest Sherpa!

    https://www.medicographia.com/2010/10/art-and-psychosis/

Once upon a time thousands of years ago, one of my university majors was Psych; served in all manner of clinics as practicum. There were the frankly psychotic who cycled in and out of hospital. Not only were they not sound of mind, they had a veritable cornucopia of physical disorders which mightily exacerbated the neurologic component of their mental travails. Often unseen, but surely noted by those near to them, were and are an equal number of people suffering from psychological disorders who are not overtly clinical. These people "get by" in society, yet they are in no way normal. The term back then was "schizophreniform" or "schizoid". Look up "schizophreniform" and you'll see something to the effect of its lasting just 6 months -- yeah, sure. OK, so the symptomatology may fade in and out a bit, but normal has left the building.

"Art" today accepts abnormal ideational patterns as constituting "the creative". The creative mind adds to society. Pooping in one's hands and smearing the proceeds on the wall adds little -- unless the wish is grow bacteria.

    Good morning Lonewolf,

-IF - all this can be calibrated for a comparison.........

Lucy could help me with an emergency land evacuation -IF- I trusted that her form wouldn't get saturated from the heavy rains.

What I actually worry about are the artist stage shows at the San Francisco Art Institute. An artist, one Karen Finley, smeared her naked body with chocolate. ...... This is called "performance art" and I do not believe it is privately funded.

After the artist smeared chocolate over her naked body, a volunteer participant from the audience was sought to preform a sex act on her.

To me, this art work requires a three and a third meter pole. At the barest (a pun unconsciously intended ?) minimum, keep 10 feet away from that infectious germ pool.

Most visual art today is either disgusting or silly. However, some of my favorite artists of the 18th century -- Utumaro and Hiroshige -- drew masterpieces that could be considered ..."racy" ... and then some! (But, to the best of my knowlege, none of the masters of the ukiyo-e school dabbled in chocolate.)

And don't get me started about the "art" of music these days!

Why I took the time to look-up the following link disturbs me. I'm not possessed of fever nor do hallucinations beset my brain, yet the health of my brains cells must be in rapid decline. I actually found the following link for info on "tongue condoms" (you need not look at or read this link; one should protect one's mind from the decidedly unpleasant):

No laryngectomy w/hyoidectomy here, yet ...

These photos are of me wearing some of Lucy's other survival suits:

Yes, I should have taken off my earring. After this photo was taken, that dang dog almost tore my left ear off!

In the following photo, I have fallen to the ground at high velocity after my parachute failed to deploy. That I was able to stand and simply walk away is a testament to Lucy's pink Gravity Survival Suit (GSS-pink-55; $22,749 retail).

At least artists have the excuse of being mentally unbalanced. "Brilliant" white urbanites have themselves to blame when they freeze, starve, or are simply beaten to death by rioters/looters.

Oh what decidedly dark devilish delight will be the die-off of unprepared university professors! (Hmmmmm, are there actually any prepared college professors?!)

"This simply can't be happening!" he said as the mob descended on him. Irony of ironies, the mobs will be composed of people worshiped as a matter of canon within the Secular Humanist anti-religion religion. These ivory-tower, anti-God, soul-murdering monsters have attacked my country, so let them die hard!!!!!!!!!! May God's Light NEVER shine upon them!!!!!!!

What does the Bible say about their judgement by God? ....

    Matthew chapter 07, verse 23:
"And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from Me, ye that work iniquity."

    Good morning F22,

Above got my attention because of the dollar sign.

Without drifting too far of the thread's topic, why does it cost so much for burial preparation? Why is embalming even needed in most places ?

We think alike. Saw the image and thought about how funeral homes and morticians gouge families. Our daughter's funeral was $14K. Hate them.
Embalming is about resurrection of the dead b.s., Egyptian. Early Christian writers borrowed crap out of the Cult of Isis (resurrection & worship of Mary/Isis = Egyptian).
All around the world, the practice is for the corpse to be washed then buried the next day (it's one Islamic practice). The body is an abandoned thing. After death, often the person's soul looks down on the body ... then leaves. Don't go to the graveyard to speak to the departed -- time/space means nothing to a departed soul. Let them travel in the worlds to come; don't hold them back in this bucket-of-sh## world.

The use of the dollar sign is not artistically meant to denote the cost of a burial. It's about greed...

    Good morning F22,

In the US , burial costs are about greed.

Too many middle class Americans are "donate my body to science" so kids can inherit a small lump of savings.

Team Trump floated an idea for a store like Walmart to sell low cost coffins and a burial package. Haven't followed up on this.

VA has eliminated their $300 burial allowance.

Donating your body to science means your bones end up in a San Fran Wicca/Satanic shop. I saw that on the show Myth Busters.

Hmm maybe the only few sensible things out of her entire dribble...

‘- covering the face is a nod to us being engrossed in the device, strapped to digital and ignorant to what is actually going on around us.'

'- more and more people are escaping the city to set up their off-grid reality, like a packhorse they take everything with them,’
