    Near and dear to my heart. Grew up in that area, and still love it. Best class I ever took in college was Biology 1B. We learned every plant, animal, bug, river, mountain range, in the Sonoran Desert. The final exam was a slide show where you had to properly name everything. I can still do it. I probably feel more comfortable there than anyplace.

    we have neither Arctic nor Desert regions in the UK, the north of England has colder but drier weather, the South West is wetter but milder.

    Well then in the words of my father thats a sticky wicket. Then his option was... take to the sea's he was a Brit -Go west young man go west. Or Greenland, Norway. He ended up in Canada.

    As a general rule, I choose to live in places where there's not too much of the death-factor thingies going on. Getting trapped in the mountains in winter is something I prep for.

    not really, I like a mild climate, more time for growing stuff and this area is known for it.
    my uncles-mothers brothers-ended up in Canada too, Canada is my 2nd favourite country-after my own. yes that's right, I'm a patriotic Englishman( not British-ENGLISH).
