Article about some MIT area Preppers. Believe all are not directly affiliated with MIT but in area.

Note mention of "renting remote cabins".

Nelsen is not conversant in consumption patterns. He doesn't have that much. The orange cart is not multi-functional. The cart's wheels not suitable for mud.

Candles ? In Cambridge, Mass ? near MIT ? Harness the moon !

Ref Brian's mousetraps; Depends on what kind. Some are not healthy for house, residents of house. CDC has an entry on these things in the A - Z list.

Haywood does nor understand "capitalism" nor the business aspects. "Nothing vast enters the human mind without a curse" Socrates. Many industries keep substantial inventories, ... and love locations without inventory taxes ... Haywood can routinely buy gasoline because of upstream inventories. There are flights to/from Boston because of inventories. Spares do wonders for accounts receivable.

    Good morning Varuna,

The picture of the efficient pest control trap doesn't get enough R.O.I. - Return On Investment as a rodent trap.

If near that airport 6 hours from you, it becomes shoes, purse, handbag, wallet, ......

I always thought we’d be prepping and bugging out from an EMP, nuclear war or economic collapse. Now it looks like a little virus is going to shut things down. The trick now is to avoid contact with others if this really turns into a great pandemic. Here’s what we’ve done in Florida:

    1. The stores are completely sold out of alcohol gel in our area, so we’re making our own from Aloe Vera and isopropyl alcohol or vodka.
    2. If your kids are in school, they can go to school live on their computers. Our granddaughter did this her last three years of high school.
    3. To avoid contacting people and germy grocery buggys at the grocery store, call in your orders to WalMart on the internet and have them show up at your car and load it in your car for you. (I learned to tell them “no substitutes” if they don’t have it in stock. Or they’ll just substitute anything.)
    4. If you want some antibiotics, order them from tropical fish stores on the internet before it’s all gone. You can get 100 ea. Amoxicillin 500mg. capsules for $30.
    5. Stock up on over the counter flu medicine before it’s all gone.
    6. Stay out of stores and shop on Amazon home delivery.
    7. All the packages and stuff you get home. Get a strong UV light and shine on everything to kill the viruses. (Be sure and wear eye protection when using it.)
    8. Stock up on toilet paper and paper towels. The stores are running out. (We got a big stock ahead of time.)
    9. Wear cheap, throw away hand gloves whenever you handle things like the gas pump.
    10. Get some face masks, if you still can.
    11. Stay out of big crowds, like concerts, football games, NASCAR races, whatever.

    LOL !

    Love it !

Around here, the actual Gadsden flag is a highly-charged political statement...available on Virginia DMV license plates.

If above becomes a stick-on decal or patch, will be getting some.

Sourdough, you made my day !
