A Fema Exercise Got My Attention

    Above exercise that started today got my attention because a focus of exercise is on "New Madrid Seismic Zone" near Memphis, Tenn. This area was discussed here recently.

    At section on Earth Quake Preparedness, at pictogram - or whatever they call the sketch pictures - "If in bed stay there".......we learned from the Cold War's civil defense pamphlets that they don't work. Anticipate most experiencing a quake to do otherwise than stay in bed - unless point fifty five alcohol level .

    Note section "Private Sector Participation".

    We had a 7.1 several months ago. I just laid there in my recliner and waited for it to subside. It felt like the safest spot. If the ceiling starts coming down that plan will change.
