    Climate and lay of land presents some unique variables for a prepper. Horrible heat and horrible cold are challenges. How wet the earth gets is a factor. In the hills, you can build into a hill. I've seen an underground house a guy built decades ago -- he built it into a hill. Flat-lands and wet-lands, you dig down & you get flooded. Hurricanes and potential tsunamis make prepping interesting for those hoping to survive coastline conditions -- oceans slosh. Pine forests of any sort are match-boxes ready to go boom -- a forest fire will melt your eyebrows at 200/300 yards. Trees explode.

    Good morning Old Geezer,

    Just read the link.

    Can't speak for Sacramento but here at the East Coast corridor, the authorities in D.C. are prepared.

    If any areas are destroyed beyond realistic cost of repair, more public parks might be in the plans.

    The State auxillaries are on standby.
