Old Geezer, Fortunately, my good ol' philosophy of lowest common denominators works wonders for prep and saving on the $$$. I don't care if the ticks are Asian with horns or European north Med islanders without horns. All of 'em will be confronted by DEET and if I see any of those brown dots on my pants, they'll learn about the Red Dragon portable torch (www.FlameEngineering.com) out of Kansas. I hate and fear ticks so much that they're on the top of my danger list.
