    Please forgive me if I am posting in the wrong location...I am new here and struggling to navigate the website. I am building a home and installing an auto standby propane generator and I am wondering if it would survive an EMP. Any thoughts on this? I am very very new to this and my knowledge of how electricity works is ZERO! We will have a very large tank of propane and I know it will not last forever but was hoping it could run some items that may not have been fried! I'm most worried about the water pump ..we will not be on city water.

    Good questiion ! The new motor that runs it will have electeronic spark ie no points and condencer. And may be affected by emp
