Keep the focus in proper perspective.

Although the corona virus and the disease "COVID-19" is the biggest news ... perhaps most of us have the virus and some of us have the disease ... there is the more mundane than the lamb stream media neglect such as the pending floods.

Keep the Wellingtons ready with rags / sponges and disinfectant. When returning home from flood waters, clean the boots and rags / sponges.

Also, for those of us in Hurricane Alley, In June, the hurricanes start.

Most all of these perils deal with common denominators - less making masks out of old dome tent canopies - and a constant review of the immediate dangers must be addressed.

As soon as I get some physical energy next week, must get ready for tick combat. That means DEET and a machete.

Like orange juice not just for breakfast any more, preparedness is not exclusive to the pandemic.
