I'm placing link here since this is still a Prepper matter especially if in evacuation mode or adverse weather cuts off access to med facilities.

I never helped (directly) in childbirth as an emergency responder; just kept the crowd away for one of our EMTs to deliver baby.

Yet, if medical intervention is needed for any matter, the hospitals are either not available due saturated capacity from COVID-19 or for people like me, avoiding those disease-infected places. We've got some EMTs here who function like field emergency physicians.

Births have taken place in forests during WWII, during evacuations, etc. A good group can get through much of anything.

We once had a Forum participant - Grizzley Adams - who had said "Take an EMT course". I've taken other types of field emergency health care training. It's really a requirement for advanced-level Preppers.
