    Sounds like an interesting read. I would agree with his premise that the problem isn't natural disaster, but a lack of preparedness. It was rumored that the City of New Orleans never prepared for a Category 5 hurricane. Levies were built to withstand Category 3. When Katrina hit we all know the rest of the story.

    It is hard to imagine with all the brains in California, including at least two of the top ten universities in the country, they cannot find a way to manage the land to reduce wild fires. They are to busy banning plastic straws to save the planet, or spending money washing human feces off of the sidewalk. A serious lack of leadership, and they are not alone.
