While reading the article about how small boats get "escorted" to north side of Channel, was thinking of USN. They can launch all kids of missiles with equal amounts of discussion on how to protect USN vessels from enemy swimmers.

My view re article mirrors Dover MP Natalie Elphicken (sp?). Did not the migrant boats leave from French territory ? Collusion ?

 

i feel your pain depending on the source we get about 300k to 1 million illegals per year....along with about 1 million legal immigrants...

 

There is actually an easy not to mention cost effective solution for dealing with illegal immigrant who need to cross the sea.

 

The problem is that they go on the public dole....public assistance...meaning job security for government....agencies dispensing this dole....not the people of the country who have to compete for goods and services in the economy against an inflated money value printed to support these illegal immigrants...potential voters.

In case no one has or will ever tell you …...


What this does is job security for government sectors.but economic instability for the private sector of the economy.

The native people....become competitors economically against government largess....excesses....

I believe above link adds an example.

It's about undocumented immigrants in California to get state funds for individual or household. Article mentions there is also some private giving (LOL).

Did not understand having a tax identification while being in an undocumented status.

I do understand California is the only state using taxpayer money to assist undocumented workers.

The mentioned stipends are relatively small. The article does not mention the medical costs for the tax identification registered undocumented immigrants. The national public is subsidizing this labor.

In the USA, rural areas have high numbers of Hispanic workers. Violent crime rates are heading up due to this, however they mainly just stab each other. Immigrants also work construction jobs and have construction businesses of their own -- they drive nice trucks nowadays. Crime effect of this is in area of construction materials -- can't leave anything out. Friend of mine lost almost $1,000 worth of building materials when building his house. Neighbors saw the thieves leaving.

Which reminds me. Had an in-law in Texas whose house was cleaned-out, furniture, whatever wasn't nailed down. My nephews were just kids then and were really upset that people could just come in and take all of their things. Jogging neighbor saw the moving truck the Hispanic felons used, but calling the police really meant nothing. The license plates are often stolen, as is the truck -- part of the modus operandi.

The role of the police is to keep locals from enforcing the law. Immigrants know how weak most Americans are, so they consider us easy-pickin's.

A thought on this is that we are perhaps, in the western world, our own worst enemies. Using the UK alone as an example, we have had many consecutive Prime Ministers telling the world publicly what a great standard of living we have in the UK and so on and so forth. Can you blame people who have very little for responding to that message and wanting to come to the UK?

Of course the sad truth is that we have poverty too, we just cover it up with political spin and lies. Many immigrants peoples end up no better off once they get here, they are exploited by ruthless landlords, often employed illegally at a wage far lower than the legal minimum and denied legal rights etc.

Perhaps if we worked for a little more equality throughout the world people would be less keen to come and the world a more stable place? Who knows?

 

I see foreign aid more as bribes than anything else. I remember a news clip years back during one of the never ending African crises seeing UN marked rice bags being freely distributed to armed rebels.

It all boils down to money, in the end. Sad really, so many wasted opportunities to provide stability in the world.

As refugee camps fill-up in densely populated areas, excesses of these people must be distributed out into the countryside.

Here's a case where some refugees were sent to Torrington, Devon. Only 70 were sent this time, mainly kids over age 16. The good people of Devon took up collections of clothing for the newly-arrived. Country folk are very forthcoming with donations; governments know this -- keeps government costs down. Even though this is a hidden taxation, the locals don't mind; this makes them feel like they are doing good. There is nothing "bizarre" about the government's decision to begin sending out excess migrants; Machiavellian maybe, but not odd.

You come from civilized civilization (actually, a very advanced civilization with good breeding and all that). People flowing into Europe aren't like the people living in the U.K. . Their culture / genetics involves perpetual conflict. Prior to gunpowder, they stabbed, sliced and diced each other -- and NOT just during wars. We're talking day-to-day. We are talking about an ongoing environment of perpetual aggressions.

Note that all across this planet one will also find indigenous tribes who are NOT aggressive, quite the opposite. Such peoples when educated advance and as they advance, they remain peaceful. Let's not forget them -- blessings be upon them. Gosh!, it is we who can learn from them -- especially in how they get along with each other.

All humans of all races have a long way to go evolutionary-wise. Man, do I ever wish that I had been born with more intellect and less explosive emotions! I'd love to be some "genius guru". I'm not. Therefore, I must focus what abilities I do possess to be a better human or at least act like one. I have this in me = no excuses. Problem is that billions of people don't even have what piddling abilities I possess. When they get angry, they have almost zero self-control.

This is sad. I don't want this to be true. I have nothing to gain and everything to lose due to this world being so absent of civilized behavior. If immigrants were a more advanced people, then I'd not only welcome them in to my country, I'd have them over to my house for supper and instruction in how I could improve myself. Why not! I've sat some hundreds of times in the homes of people way more intelligent than myself and listened and learned. I've known numerous people with IQs over 150 and am sooooo grateful for what they have taught me. Shoot, I'm glad that they were even willing to have me over to meetings in their homes! They actually put up with me. (These were social get-togethers, prayer meetings, discussion groups, study sessions, ... . Me, I'm a social critter, but is is very difficult to find the good people & the better people -- it's a real search.)

Hopefully, I know my place. In structured situations, I have followed the orders of superiors (actual superiors, not job superiors, who are often a bad joke as a "human"). Above the wise humans are the Prophets -- everyone better read the words of the Prophets, such is incumbent upon humanity. Were we Christ-like, there would be no wars. Jesus only whipped the evil money-lenders. The Buddha enlightened millions, maybe billions of humans. Were His teachings followed, there would be no wars.

Opening the gates to savage cultures opens the gates to chaos. Europeans NEVER had the right to oppress peoples of other continents! NO, we should have offered them learning, not weapons of war. The sins of white people are mountainous. Can't be denied. On the other hand, the noble among us set-out to teach and share. The latter is something for us to be proud of and to hold as examples as to how we should behave currently and in times future. Opening our doors to them, on the other hand, helps neither them nor us. As current events now bear witness, when migrating, these people do not take-on the culture of the countries into which they have traveled. They retain their own culture, civilized or savage. Me, I don't think we can fix this situation. People must be educated inside their own communities / countries. We should be bettering other countries -- better entire cultures, not just take-in some fraction of their populace. The latter just doesn't work.

Back to the migrants issue: does anybody have any thoughts on what we should do with them. I don't believe it is reasonable for them to arrive and simply expect our nation to house the etc. There are, I am sure, genuine refugees amongst them but the general lack of paperwork they bring and high standard of clothing/smart phones etc would not indicate poverty or even feeing from a hostile state.

 

I believe the migrants should be put in detention camps until their identities are proven. We do not know if amongst the boat people we are also getting criminals, murderers or paedophiles. I think it is right to help genuine asylum seekers, but do not believe that the majority of the boat people are anything more than economic migrants. One must be mindful that there is a legal route into the country for migrants.

The other key aspect is that if we invested in the country/countries they come from then they would not feel the need to come. The real issue is about people wanting a better standard of living. It is also a consideration that many of these people come from restrictive Islamic regimes, about which they my not be happy.

Either way I do not believe that the taxpayer should be funding luxury hotels for these folks to stay in. That is just an insult to the people of the UK and will only give rise to prejudice against the migrants and undermine the stability of society.

 

I see the intentional planning for this invasion as being profoundly diabolical. The internationalists who enabled this knew that efforts to send these people back to their home nations would be near-impossible. They also knew that this flood of people would cause violence -- especially if attempts are made to send them home. If it is announced that they will be deported to their home nations, many will scatter across the country and some will go violent.

Police resources to round them up are lacking. Logistics are lacking.

Here in the States, the left always was seemingly pro-labor. Labor unions got out the vote for Democratic candidates.

Labor unions have been weakened by Leftist policies, especially the open borders edict which allows construction companies to hire aliens who are not union members. The Democrats are not enforcing labor laws that make companies liable for hiring non-citizens without green cards. Going through the legal immigration process gets foreigners a card, green in color, showing that they are here for work; it is a work visa. This legal process has been in place for decades; I know of no one who has any problems with this above-board public procedure. Labor-intensive agriculture often has more jobs than there are locals to fill. Migrants made far more per hour than they ever could back home -- working two-weeks here got them the equivalent of working 2 months back home.

That said, opening the borders causes chaos. The legal migrants REALLY don't want this. It waters-down their wages, plus it makes them look bad. People now think that ALL Hispanics are here illegally -- a bold face lie! Many Hispanic Americans started off with a green card, but then wanted to stay, to become citizens. Again, no rational person would oppose this, it's all legal and above board. Flooding a country causes conflict. Liberals are either brain-damaged or openly trying to commit acts of aggression.

People are beginning to realizing that there is a sick agenda behind the current oligarchic / internationalist rule in Wash. D.C.. What the Left wants of the working class is their tax dollars and their blind allegiance. Such is an act of war.

Barry Soetoro stayed in the Ayers family Chicago home when he was a foreign exchange student (later, his Kenyan birth record was not sought and a Hawaiian birth certificate created, complete with official seal; how the seven Social Security cards showed up in his name, Barrack Obama, is anyone's guess ).

The Obamas are currently living in homes owned by Democratic operatives (not even the Martha Vineyard mansion is in his name). The Presidency of the former USA is now a cluster of Amerikan and foreign puppeteers / agents / anti-Constitutionalists. I'm wondering to what degree Democrats in Congress & Senate are aligned with that mob. Really odd goings-on. The Democrat fellow-travelers mostly line-up when congressional voting occurs, true. Yet, they often seem reticent ... except for the monsters like Schumer in the Senate, he is an internationalist to the bone.

I agree, things have not been he same here since. The odd thing about Blair is that he manifested as a libertarian and yet during his tenure more laws were introduced than at any time in the previous decades.

 

The problem with that argument is that we are now so "woke" that even suggesting such direct action will have people screaming genocide etc. I believe the boat people should be placed in detention camps (and the barge for 500 is only about 1 day's worth) until such time as they have been screened to ensure they are not pedophiles/murderers/drug dealer/pimps etc. After that then a meaningful discussion can be had about what to do with them. At the moment the "what to do" is, according to the MSM, giving them benefits and houses in priority to our people. I feel sure that is not really the case, people would have risen up against by now, if it was. However the suggestion of it is only going to cause resentment against the migrants. We hear, on a weekly basis, how short we are of people to do manual jobs etc, the migrants are a potential pool of labour for that. That gives them an opportunity to assimilate and show value and ultimately become just another part of the British people.

 

Mayor Khan is a national embarrassment. He keeps saying daft things and he is only mayor of London, he is certainly not empowered to speak on behalf of the rest of the country. The sooner he gets unelected the better.

 

Here in the U.S., Texas and other Southwestern States became inundated with migrants. Texas was being punished for not voting for brain-dead biden. So, the Tex. Governor started bussing migrants to NY, NY and Los Angeles. Then, the Leftist fellow-travelers began to scream.

Hopefully, liberal-run cities and states will begin to collapse in such a way, and to such a degree, that there will be no solutions. As any white flight increases markedly/outrageously, I hope that they get blocked by states that conform to Constitutional rule (most all states have Constitutions based on the original Federal Constitution). I hope that the liberals are told to go back home and live with the mayhem they created with their liberal policies. The liberals want wealth distributed out to the masses -- OK Lefties, let them move into your homes. The latter is what Vladimir Lenin did. He made two or multiple families live in each apartment -- communal bathrooms at the end of hallways. Let the Oligarchs open their mansions and eight-thousand sq. ft (75 sq. meter) apartments up to the homeless and the poor.

 

I think you are on to something here Old Geezer. In the UK most cities are liberally run by "wokists" and the result is spiralling crime, often between ethnicities (in Bradford, Yorkshire, for example, it is between Hindu and Muslim young men and goes back to long held grudges during the partition of India that ended up in bloodshed, long, long, before those who are now fighting about it were born). There are huge levels of crime in our inner cities and very little crime "clear up" partly due to poor policing and partly due to poor sentencing. I can see the bigger UK cities becoming "no go" areas and becoming victims of their own poor policies.

I would that I knew more.

I've lived the better part of my life in tiny-towns surrounded by agriculture in rural America. My ancestors and kin were beyond poor. Seen that, but I myself have had indoor plumbing and electricity all of my life (lower middle class upbringing).

Due to high-tech med. jobs, I've been forced to live in communities adjacent to large American cities and have, first hand, witnessed walking zombies, safe neighborhoods immediately adjacent to high-crime neighborhoods (commuting, I've driven through areas I'd not be able to travel at night, armed robberies and murders). I'll spend money on gasoline to avoid chaos.

I'm now retired. Hallelujah! Not much retirement due to family catastrophes; wife's cancer, funeral bill for daughter, massively crippled older son (deadly car accident), children with Type I diabetes, layoffs due to jobs moving to Asia, having to move to other states (4x that), on and on and on and on ... heartache and damnation. Never any peace. Constant struggle.

I'm doing good to keep up with the news. Just now had a vehicle die on us. My health = no strength, difficult to walk.

Can't know England. Would that I could. Even across an Atlantic, it hurts to see England getting hit with the sh##. London is the first casualty. Here in the states, the first casualties were California, Chicago, St. Louis, Memphis, Atlanta, Austin Texas, and the major megalopolises of the east coast. These cancers metastasize with the drug trades (plural).

In rural America where nuclear families still exist, thus these cultural diseased are. But national communist educational education associations and the propaganda of the socialist media are bringing urban cancers to our communities. Good thing that spirituality still exists here! People don't believe in the old dogmas, nevertheless they are spiritual. Life after death reports support the spirituality, if not the dogmas (dogmas are from previous eras). In the medical community, people are being brought back from the brink of death and their stories are the same -- irrespective of religion ... thus the spirituality and death of dogma. My "high tech" (it's been a bear; constant change; no let-up) med technology background has put me in touch (including a few friendships) with dozens of physicians who've seen tens of thousands of deaths.

Spirituality is some form of glue (?????). We live in a multidimensional universe. The brain is quantum receiver-transmitter. The dimensions involved we can neither perceive nor intellectually understand. We never will ... by definition ... by biologic engineering. I think it is beyond hubris to imagine that we could even begin to understand a fraction of where we stand. After Carl Sagan said that we pretty much understood our universe, he developed a fatal disease and died. Maybe he was then shown how shallow was his reasoning.

I see spirit as driving survival. I prepare not just to save myself and my own. I wish to survive to pass on truth, knowledge, order, ..., what can lift souls above the corporeal. The wifer and I have a library of hundreds of books and hundreds of music CDs from all around the world. I want my species to evolve. I've had my lifetime -- that's that. I'll not have anyone taking the future of humanity away from noble intent. Biology is but a fraction of what we can become.

If somebody wants to burn down civilization, I'll burn them down. I have zero qualms in shutting them down eternally.
