I don't know how to title / how really to describe what I'm bringing-up here. I'm going to use the phrase "collective insanity". Maybe someone else has a better term. I posted something today about police leaving urban areas where, let's face it, they no longer feel safe (and certainly not appreciated) performing their job. So, it's not just the cities, even though the cities seem to be much worse. Even rural areas are getting strange. We preppers are witnessing a breakdown of all social structures and it's something we need to take into account. Me, I'm pro-Heartlanders. I am one. I'm from rural folk. Yet having said this, I have seen some unimaginably crazy violent crap that required the "common decent folk" to be armed. Seems now that more of this crazy crap is happening. Sure is happening in America anyway. How disappointing ... makes me angry. I have no wish to own defensive weapons. I only want target rifles/handguns. Shooting clay pigeons is fun. I'm a meat-eater and have no problem killing critters so that I can cook and eat them. Other humans, I want them to be human and not animals. I don't want this insanity happening. Can't pretend it away.

The covid quarantines did make people more crazy. But think about it, compared to the SHTF events that are right on the horizon, covid is a profoundly minor issue. Even in the populations most at risk, covid killed at best 2 to 3 people per 100. How much are people going to psychologically decompensate when thirty or more percent of the population is wiped-out?!

My question is whether or not there is any real civilization left in the US of A??? I finally had to go to work for myself. I was sooooo tired of having minority bosses that got the job because of their skin color. They all seemed to assume that since they were the boss they knew it ALL. I more than once did EXACTLY as I was told and either tore up a machine or ruined the part that I was working on. I learned fast to make sure that I had a witness or two and then when the idiot in charge tried to blame it on me it wouldn't fly. It helped a lot that his boss KNEW he was incompetant. He only got the boss job because he was a minority and they couldn't fire him. They thought that he could and would stay in the office and not mess things up. WRONG!!! That place was INFESTED with things like this. They at the time I left employed over 3000 people. Their quality got so bad and the cost from being over staffed with people that couldn't do the work killed them. Saddly that seems to be the new AMERICAN WAY. The work that we used to do there is now done in Singapore.

 

If you want to establish a secular belief system, one that sees government as the supreme source of power and knowledge, then religions must be suppressed, because only god-government must be in charge. Witness the actions of communist regimes. It is also troubling in that pogroms against people of the Jewish Faith are well known and well known to be unimaginably violent with horrific loss of life. As civilization collapses, all forms of unity and morality come under attack. This is more affirmation to us preppers that the crumbling is well underway. If you are a prepper and a person of Faith, then in the eyes of the collective, you have two marks against you.

If you are a nutcase and want to get tens of millions of dollars-worth of coverage, shoot-up some crowded area with an "assault rifle". Semi-automatic rifles and handguns have been in civilian hands for over a century. After WWII, lord only knows how many Americans bought the handy little M1 carbines complete with their 15 or 30-round magazines. During the 1950s and 1960s, America was awash in these. I sure saw several when I was a kid back then. I knew no man who didn't own a gun. A cousin of mine brought back from Vietnam a fully automatic sub-gun he took off Charlie. Yet, were there mass-shootings? Precious few. A guy blew-up an entire school back in the 1920s killing 38 grammar school kids and 6 adults. His bombs under the high school failed to go off (or whatever, I'd have to re-read the articles on it). That insanity was well past rare -- just never occurred!

What is different today? The family unit is in shambles. Mentally ill people are not hospitalized. The media folk wish to ban firearms ownership or at least bring the ownership levels down to where centralized government has nothing to fear from the populace potentially fighting a guerilla war should Big Brother declare martial law.

Civilization is breaking down and the communists are gleeful. They think that the people will knuckle-under as the people become more and more dependent on government checks. The city folk are already castrated as far as self-sufficiency is concerned.

Things are failing for the big media of late. Fewer and fewer swallow their bilge without gagging. The Democrats taking the White House and the resulting skyrocketing of violent crime has sold around 3 million more guns than would have been normally purchased. Seems the White House will have to start a war somewhere or pump enough armaments into the Ukraine to push Putin into doing something insane nuclear-wise. Amerikan communists are determined not to lose and they'll bring about whatever level of mayhem it takes to get Americans on their knees. It's gonna get way past BAD. We'll see how things turn out.

I am an old man. Fifty years ago, I was a young man. I watch and I read. I'm horribly over-educated plus I've worked for international companies and after those decades, I worked in the technical medical world for a couple more decades. I've talked to / have been friends with people from all around this planet. Likeable people I do cherish -- their stories are gold to me. For us preppers, the days which are quickly coming are those for which we've done our best to prepare.. Indeed, we have already entered the beginning of the end. Lonewolf made that observation just this week. "It", whatever "it" is, has begun. There are innumerable SHTF situations with each having its own degree of negativity. Seems many negatives are going to hit simultaneously.

The very Prophets of old predicted the "end times". Many have doubted Their golden Words. Too bad for those who ignore. Gosh, I wish I were younger and healthier, but I'm near the end of my days anyway. I do so worry for the young. I've done my best to teach and pass-on survival supplies.

It is part of the Big Lie that these "transgenders" are a significant part of the population. That there are few fathers home in certain ethnic groups, leads to psychological problems and precious little self-discipline. Children need both adult male and female authority figures / parents. Divided families are destroying the very building-blocks of civilization. A single parent family -- only a mom at home (most common) -- cannot provide a child with the needed images of those who make up civilization. Grandfathers, coaches, and other male images go a long way to imprint on children proper role models. The "Big Brother" programs do a lot of good. Not just animals require imprinting of needed behavioral pasterns -- so do humans. The sickness of "woke" ideology causes profound societal psychological pathologies. For instance, Amerika's inner cities are collapsing civilization-wise. The human species is what it is. We are genetically what we are, species-wise.

Spirituality only comes after lower-order needs are met. The psychologist Maslow got it right with his "hierarchy of needs" paradigm. Today, basic human psychology has become deeply perverted by political bias -- so much so that university Sociology and Psychology departments need to be completely defunded to clear-out politically-motivated professors.

My dad and his mates paid-off the state congressmen. The gambling houses (and whatever else, cockfights, whorehouses, ...) paid-off the local police or sheriff's department, local officials, plus the state highway patrol. The state moved their highway patrol officers around the state. As each new crew came onboard, they would take-over the take.

The guys / the family connections on my side of the tracks were lower-echelon. They were TOTALLY off the radar, black market to the max. Among any towns's upper classes, there are the games that are their own in the realm of gambling and prostitution. The heroin trade was among the black community in larger cities. In my town, the blacks were NOT involved in that. Prostitution? OK, yeah sure -- I used to count the vended cigarette-machine money in a small town black cat-house ... during the day; we got out'a there before nightfall. Somebody might just hand you your liver. I do not know the details about much of the upper-class goings-on -- and what I do know is second-hand / not my world. One example, in my home town, the local country club had its own gambling-house complete with slot machines -- that was City Commission / rich-folk territory. First time ever I set foot in that place was during our 30th high school reunion (didn't attend any more reunions). We commoners and stoners had reunions at guy's farm -- liquor and weed, just like back in our high school days.

That is exactly why I live were I do. I moved first to a place that had one nice sized highschool and lived in a place where there were more cattle and horses than people. After my Daughter graduated and went to college we moved to a sort of suburb of a tiny town. It is nice not to have 5 or 6 miles of mud road to reach a highway. We are in the woods but have a few stores and resturants nearby. The neighborhood here has lots measured in acres.

 

Where I live, the place is small enough to enable people to know the families of those running for office. Last Sheriff's election, my wife knew the family. Therefore, I voted for one of their kin. In the for-what-it's-worth department, the young man was a member of the minority community. The other candidate was a redneck asshole.

 

when i look at what is happening in the USA today , it does look like it is collapsing, people getting shot for a basket ball that rolled on to someones lawn. getting shot for turning into the wrong driveway, getting shoot for asking to turn down the noice from a leaf blower so a baby could sleep, getting shot for ringing the wrong address door bell. I will tell you this a lot of Canadians are questioning whether to visit the USA or to consider it too dangerous. this from some one that has lots of American friends and family.

Just the other day on this site we were discussing mass psychosis. Well, the Fates, my ancestors, spirit guides (whoever they may be , never met one, actually), or whatever "supernatural source" it may have been, just caused me to trip over the following video on, yep you guessed it, "Mass Psychosis".
