I would love to have that Robert E. Lee statue set up for display permanently on my survival retreat . Right now I have a couple down at my private swim hole , at the creek that just traveled about 500 miles from their home to reach my area . They seem to be really enjoying our survival retreat . They were invited in by one of my sons .

 

Robert E. Lee defended his home, family, and people. He was not in favor of that war, but he did what he though was right. Before the Civil War he was the commandant of the West Point Military School and ended up fighting against and with the men that he had trained.

I have always figured that that was just round one and that there would be a second civil war. The causes of that war are still active and maybe worse than they were. Went back and re read Olde Geezers thread on those heavily involved in "The Blame Game!"

What was taught to me so many years ago....is that in any given nation...there is no other single concept or factor which will determine the economics of a nation outside of it's religion.

Its religion is almost the single determining factor of how an economy will or will not work.

And it has to be a religion capable of holding back the historical excesses of too much government...limited Government.


And historically there are only a handful of nations which were ever to be able to achieve such an goal....some form of Limited Government .

And furthermore ...anywhere you see progress...economic and social progress....it originated from one of these handful of nations...exported from there....wherein these nations has this telling religious liberty...which was able to control historical governmental excesses.


Whenever you deal with someone as Intellectual, Illuminated and Enlightened as the author of those books quoted above....you will note that this concept I am describing is totally ignored in favor of the blame game...

You have to be Educated...Enlightened, Illuminated....Intellectual...to try to pass human sexuality off as a new and preferred religion.....over all other religions...to as to take a stance to muzzle any competition in the religious arena.

Only Education can dumb humans down that far and they think no one will notice!!!

Sometimes this is true but the exact opposit has been true pretty often. The Catholic ruled eras were one of the most repressive of all. A monster like Hitler will kill you because he doesn't like you while in the past the various religeons have killed millions of people "for their own good" in the service of their god.

Our constitution is often quoted as having a freedom OF religeon. What they so often in the past failed to grasp is that it is more freedom FROM religeon than the freedom of it. The founders of our nation were here more to be free of the yoke of the various churches that rulled Europe than to practice a different faith.

They almost wiped out the entire native peoples in North America in their effort to "save" them from their barbaric and primitive practices. I am a person raised a Christian. My Dad was a lay minister. I am not athiest at all BUT I am more afraid of the Christians than all of the athiests put together. History shows that more people are and always have been killed in the name of and in the service of gods than any other group. Agree with you that historically the Catholic ruled areas were one of the most oppressive of all. And so too with Rome...the inquisition et al.

What most people do not know or cannot analyze for themselves is that the Christian Church has no such instruction to kill or torture those with whom they disagree ....

This means that the Catholic Church was not operating within its guidelines....come out from amongst them and be ye separate. It does not say to kill or torture those with whom one disagrees.

I guess that we have just been differently affected by things. The US has been at war for my entire life. We were killing Koreans when I was little, then we were killing people in Vietnam, after a little pause we moved into the middle east area. Honestly in no case have we come out any better off or even more loved by the people we fought for.

I lost too many friends and family fighting for other people that in the end seemed to hate us. I hope that the next time Germany decides to send a platoon into France and conquers it by threatening to blow up their Eifel Tower that we send them a housewarming present. Any nation that is not willing to fight for their own freedom doesn't deserve it.

The US doesn't HELP a nation, we instead fight the war for them. There is something seriously wrong when our casualties are higher than the people that we are "helping". If we would actually FIGHT a war, I probably wouldn't be so bothered but we don't do that. We just send our people over to wherever and let them die until we give it up.

In a WAR you fight to win in the shortest and least harmful in casualties to your people that is possible. In Vietnam we should have and could have flattened Hanoi and won that war in a couple of months. Instead, we just farted around and let them kill our people for decades. At least in Korea we admitted defeat and let them have the north part of that country. That IS better than we did in Vietnam!

In neither case were we really fighting for those people. We were just playing a deadly game with China and Russia except they while backing our opponents they didn't die in mass for them.

To the best of my knowledge have never been any serious wars fought by any people to promote atheism. There have been wars with nations that were not widely religious, but they were not trying to wipe out Christianity.

I lived in France outside of Paris for 4 years in my very younger years. I've been to the cemetery in Normandy...and it is very very large..and even back then in the 2nd grade I knew what it was.

Yes....me too ...America has been at war all of my life as well. Enough is enough...we do not need to be fighting for someone else's profits and many of them not even Americans.

I now have two work contacts who are putting out gardens and raising chickens. These are technical people, by the way. I find it refreshing when several people have extra squash, tomatoes, eggs, ... to put into the company kitchen so that all can share. Two months ago, I was talking firearm talk with two medical professionals. I know at least a dozen technical & medical folk who I would consider preppers who themselves would not use the word "prepper" -- nevertheless, they are starting to get hinky about how strange and evil world affairs are getting.

If people are losing faith in government, industry, the very glue of society and then acting accordingly, that is "prepping" in my personal vocabulary. Their feelings may be amorphous, yet their actions to make matters more secure for their families speaks volumes.

People are viscerally getting the feeling that, "This just can't go on. Something has got to give-way. This isn't good."

The fear level is growing in the U.S. . I can't speak for other countries . Earlier today I talked with my brother , a non prepper . Now he is beginning to see the writing on the wall . I suppose I will just let him starve to death over the coming months . I will let my sister starve to . I was known as the eccentric prepper in the family . Now their realization of what we face is becoming more apparent even to non preppers . -- The more immediate crises appears to be the governments attack on those that refuse the covid vaccination . One of our group , a medical professional that stays on our survival retreat and works over the computer advising people on medical issues just received notice that they are going to revoke all her medical license if she doesn't submit to the one world globlest and take the shot . She isn't taking it . She is fully aware of what it does to the human body . For those that refuse to submit to the alteration , the crises is becoming very real . --- By the way what have you guys heard about a ban on state to state travel for those without a cdc card ? What I am hearing is unverified so I will ask for someone with the real info to speak up . If this is so , the trucking industry is fixing to come to a halt .

 

Who would check for the data?! State cops won't put up with that crap. A lot of law enforcement is getting down-right torqued at the bunny-brained globalists/liberals. I know that here in the South, sheriff departments will refuse to enforce B.S. mandates. Whoever is actually running this White House is making some enemies who they'd best not make unhappy.

Slow down interstate traffic and you will have a bunch of state troopers wanting to shoot you dead. Now that is one 100% take-it-to-the-bank fact. And then there are a bunch of truckers who will crash right over the top of anyone attempting to slow them down. Every year I put thousands of miles on my cars driving interstate highways.

People in the American South don't get just a little bit angry. People here will open fire on you.
