Old Geezer sez it again, the once United States are no longer united. There are two distinct Americas. Each side hates the people of the other side -- not dislikes, hates. The anger is building. Killings have already happened, but the violence is going to grow and grow and grow. Who knows what the precipitating event will be, but an event or series of events are going to unleash über-violence.

One great aspect is that the police are being defunded. This will help burn the cities. Hopefully the folk who voted to appease the violent people will be trapped in their utopias so that they can experience up-close and personally the fruition of their decision. Kamala will not send in Fed forces to quell the violence. All leftists will deny that it is happening. The social media gods will wipe "unapproved" information, videos, and photos.

The Kamala administration will dictate Liberty restrictions on ALL states. This will send the national FURY over the line into violent/shooting conflicts.

Numerous states and regions of states will then declare independence from Rome England Washington, D.C.. People who are of solid genetics, who have known freedom, will go to war when others attempt to enslave them.

Currently, there is a whole lot of denial going on. "Things will get better." "We are in this together." All of this Peter Pan fantasy sh## is going to be ripped apart and Hell's fury is going to burst forth like lanced boil. Gonna get stinky nasty. The weak will not be able to bear it.

What this means for preppers: Most of the members of this site already know to get as far away from "civilized" society as possible and have already done so, maybe even years ago, we got out. Many of us grew up in rural areas. However, many of our visitors find themselves in large suburban areas, even urban areas. To our urbanites and suburbanites visitors, the situation is one of that it could be too late now for you to leave. If you move to Heartland America, you may not be welcome there in the near future. Initially, you may face zero problems, however when it "hits the fan", suddenly you could find yourself a persona non grata. You will face the situations involving, "Where are you from?!" "You're not local, are you?!" "We don't know you." And oh by the way, you will run into locals no matter how far back in the boonies you travel. My accent is identical to the rural folk's accent; I was raised in this culture. Even though I'm local, I still have to walk on eggshells back in nowheresville. Being not-welcome in some places is beyond being in danger, it could prove fatal.

If you haven't armed, arm up ... that is if you can find ammo to feed that which you have purchased.

If you think you have put back enough food, think again. This site is abounding in ideas for food storage. Search this site and get busy if you don't have at the very minimum 3-months supply.

Do you have the means to purify water? If not, do something about that RIGHT NOW. This site is full of information on the topic of water purification and storage. Do a search and you will find a mountain of info.

If you do have stores of food and water, how are you going to cook meals? Soon, cities will only have intermittent electrical feed and piped natural gas will be at risk also. If you can't cook, then you'd better have MRE supplies. Got a gas camping stove and fuel? Fireplace or wood-stove with firewood?

People, the emergency situation has now begun.

O.Gzr, what these folk are saying is certainly true of urban areas.

I have seen this sad phenomenon in rural areas; however, most working youth in agricultural / Heartland America are lean and at the very least, graduate high school. Heartland America is robust. Urban Amerika is dying. Gang members "spray and pray". Rural youth aim and fire -- hunting requires this.

Very few urban and suburban youth have ever gone hunting -- which is sad beyond measure. Our grandson lives in a rural area (they have property, fields, wild turkey, deer, squirrel, small forested area, plus there are forests all around and a LARGE lake a mile away, >30K acres, 120+ square kilometers, can see the lake from their house, beautiful view). He goes shooting & hunting with his dad. In this region, these parameters are in no way rare. We just drove way over 300 miles and back and never lost sight of mountains and pastureland. The mountains are, of course, far too rugged for agriculture, however there is lots and lots of game in those forests. Coming back, the clouds were hanging on the tops of the mountains -- it was something out of a painting. Hundreds and hundreds of miles of beauty and life.

Deer are over-populated. Talking to son-in-law, he said that there were at least three slaughter-houses nearby that do a huge proportion of their work on deer. Even in off-season, people are overwhelmed with venison from their land-holdings (legal or illegal, people are dropping deer for food; everybody has freezers). Only way to keep down this deer infestation is by taking the doe population.

What was super noteworthy of our road-trip was how many big healthy hawks I saw in the forests through which the highway cut -- this made me feel so very happy. I love hawks. Due to the chilliness of the weather, these critters had their feathers puffed out for insulation reasons. This made them look as if they were fat -- funny stuff! One hawk was SO HUGE plus an enormously wide wingspan that I thought it was a golden eagle -- could have been, we got'em. Here's a photo of a skinny hawk.

Your post concerning hawks...has reminded me once again.

We are seeing more hawks here in suburbia and even the occasional eagle....more than in years past. Owls too!!


But I remember an interesting happening over a year ago when I brought the outside cats their food food one morning and fed them near the back of my car...outside and away from the deck.

A Squirrel had become irritated at me feeding the cats close to where he usually comes down out of the tree at that hour to forage and was barking and making noise at me and the cats.

I paid him no mind of course and watched the cats as they ate their fill....yes..the very cats that now I watch over because of the aggressive neighbor cats.

Suddenly a hawk swooped down and took the squirrel in the tree making all that noise. Apparently the squirrel got distracted by us and failed to check the skies..or their six if you like.

The hawk flapped a bit to get a better purchase on the squirrel and then flew off..a big beautiful bird....just beautiful.

I got to see it close up...no filters..it was quite astonishing to witness right there ...close up.


Thanks for reminding me. I literally got to see wildlife in it's natural habitat on that morning!!

This trip we just took would be like driving from Plymouth, England to Kingston upon Hull and back to Plymouth. The exception would be that you would not ever see any cities from the road, just mountains and farms. The mountains are rounded, not sharp. One almost never sees a rock-face, they are solid forest. Average height of Appalachian Mountains is only around 3,000 ft / 920 meters. Some mountains go 5000 ft to 6500 ft, but they are more rare (where I'm from, 5,000 ft. mountains are not rare; hike up there and you'll know you've been on a hike).

It has been God's gift to me to let me live within all of this beauty. For this, I am eternally grateful.

This area of America, along with the better part of the South, plus the vast breadbasket of America between the Mississippi and the Rockies, is still part of the real America. Heartland America has NOT turned its back on God.

The latest shenanigans in Portland and Washington DC are going to shake loose some folks to start thinking that maybe his crazy brother-in-law who's always dressing up in camo and has all the guns is right, and will half-heartedly buy a case of spam and toilet-paper, and maybe ask the guy in the next cubicle what is the best gun to buy. Now that we are looking at a Kamala administration, if you have it in your heart to buy a semi-automatic center-fire rifle and high capacity magazines for that firearm, do it now. My suggestion is for you to pay cash. Any way that you can stay under the radar is a good thing.

Speaking of cash, as we head for a hyper-inflationary collapse, history teaches that just prior to hyperinflation there exists a period of deflation -- ironic but true. This has happened dozens of times in countries headed down the economic tubes. I find this near impossible, yet it's hard to argue with historic realities. Therefore, if you have prepper friends who may literally have cash stowed-away in their mattress, they aren't crazy. Precious metals have now gone through the roof, so I couldn't recommend buying this form of barter when one could buy extra filtration materials for their water purifiers. Me, I just bought some hunting ammunition for old bolt-action military surplus rifles. I looked at my stores and found that I didn't have enough hunting ammo for these "obsolete" rifles. Friends, a deer is food no matter how it gets dead. Truth be told, so is a big dog -- be sure to invite your friends from southeast Asia to your canine-derived supper.

From what I hear Kamala and her henchmen plan to throw open the prison doors and flood the country with murderers , rapist , gang members and thieves . We all know the outcome . Now I do believe there are a lot of prisoners locked up that should never have been put there to begin with . I have on multiple occasions visited jails and brought the prisoners books to help them pass the time . I usually brought them books such as One Second After , Siege of Ruby Ridge and about the Assault at Waco . The guards never gave me any problem passing them such books but One of the lady guards said they had to look through them to make sure there was no naked pictures hidden in the pages . So I definitely have no problem releasing prisoners that pose no threat to society but what Kamala and friends seem to plan to do will leave violence run amuck and at the same time she promises to disarm law abiding citizens . I suppose she wouldn't want any harm to come to her criminal friends as they rape , murder and gather money for their drug habit.
