If you live in the US and are panicking about the coronavirus you need more help than prepping is going to do for you. You are going to find something to panic about even if the coronavirus fizzles out. This is the flu, not the plague. Right now you are more likely to die from a lightning strike in the US than from the coronavirus. You need to seek help because what you are having are paranoid anxiety attacks. I put this threat right now as about like being in a panic about the zombie apocalypse. There are currently 63 people in the US with the coronavirus out of 350 million people. That means that .000018% of the people in the US have a 2% chance of dying from it! Worry...maybe if you don't have anything better to do but panic...that's cray cray!!

    Good morning TexDanm,

You said it exactly on target !

In "emergency management talk", we are seeing an example of where the secondary hazard is much more dangerous than the original threat.

These people panicking are also driving to the Walmart OTC health care section. Their cars on public roads cause more casualties than the corona virus as of now.

Preparing for the worst possible scenario is what I do and what I would think any serious doomsday prepper would do . Some choose to wait for the event and prepare for that particular event , which is the category most people would fall under . Someone preparing is not panicking . Someone panicking is the guy running around in the store hollering " don't panic " while the rest of the store shoppers are calmly selecting their survival items to purchase .
