    Good morning all,

    Per ...

After reading in article about Dixie Chicks changing their name ... and am familiar with a Russian group involving riots ... I need a Dixie cup of Southern Comfort.

I have an 8 Track tape of music by 2 Live Crew.

For real reform: Dosie Doe your partner even if partner is a marine mammal.

    Article mentions Franklin, Tennessee.

There's a big difference between today's "country music" and true Bluegrass. Bluegrass has evolved. Bluegrass takes you to places in the Spirit Realm.

Here's a political song sung by Scottish blood born in Southern Appalachia.

Due north of Richmond lies the city of Washington D.C. .

People are beyond fed-up with the ruling oligarchy raping our nation.

This Appalachian version of a Celtic balladeer will get put down as a "redneck" or "cracker". If you are a Hillbilly, people will laugh at you. But when they want to turn on the electricity, they don't think about the men who mine the coal that fires the power plants. They don't think about the men who work the reactors of Duke Power who have to wear detectors to gauge to what degree they've been exposed to radiation.

People will take so much, then they will take up arms. Go ahead and make fun. See what it buys you.

    Welcome to Kentucky:

Same shoot, another year, fireworks added:

I don't know where this shoot was held. There all over the place now.

The limp-wrist mass media (this time ABC News) can't differentiate between a bunch of terrorists and real men from the South. It was good'ol'boys joining the Army who went over there and killed a few hundred thousand spray'n'pray jihadists. After our military put the honor-less goat-lovers in their place, the traitor biden regime negated the sacrifices of American heroes and pulled our forces out of Afghanistan WITHOUT ANY EXIT STRATEGY. By doing the latter, the communists in the White House got another 50+ soldiers killed. They don't care, liberals hate the military ... except the deep-state traitors who've infiltrated the Pentagon wearing uniforms they shouldn't be wearing.

Can't say that I'm any kind of fan of country music (for me, that's a long and very complicated story).

However, once and a while, a country tune comes along that speaks to me.

Bluegrass music is an evolution of Scots-Irish music particular to Southern Appalachia. "Country music" is an evolution out of Bluegrass, but with stark lyrics representing a much larger area of the US South. Bluegrass and Country are two separate critters.

Me, I like Scots-Irish and Irish music, thus my liking for Bluegrass. Or is it visa-versa???. I also love folk music. Yes, I know that many were communists; however, the 1930s were hell years and some folk went radical. I hate big government / communism, yet considering the days back in the Dust Bowl and Depression era (Depression folk raised me) you gotta forgive a whole lot. People were dying. Desperation, gotta understand. Personally, my people were way too poor to be effected by the Depression. I mean, shoot, my mom's lot were just surviving up in a mountain holler. My dad's lot were living in a iron mining camp until my dad's dad became too crippled to work the mines. Hell would have been a step up for them. .... Yet ... if all you've known is grinding poverty and living off the land, then you don't know the greater world at all. Music was their comfort. They had no radios, cars, ... .

My family (my dad's side) had STRONG ties with Bluegrass music (as in the history books, Wiki, ... our family's surname is documented in libraries; PBS interviewed a relative of mine when doing one of its national documentaries, ... ). Funny thing, I personally didn't meet any of those folk myself (was an era before I came along, I was a 50's kid). I did meet Bela Fleck and thanked him for his carrying on the Bluegrass tradition. That Bluegrass has evolved into Newgrass is beyond super positive. That's why I thanked Fleck after one of his university concerts. I specifically told him this shaking his hand. He's one of those who are a part of that natural evolution. All things in this world evolve or they die.

When John Prine died, it was a kick in the chest. Saw him in small venue concerts. Could feel the man's soul when anywhere near him. John was something of a Saint for me. OK, he'd had neck cancer ... kind'a doomed ... still ... what do you say ... we all want our loved ones to live forever. Stupid that, but hell ... I loved this guy.

Saw Kris Kristofferson back when he was playing at a local Army Reserve venue. A friend of mine bought the band's liquor for them (holy sh##, that crew drank too much; two -- 2! -- cases of liquor; me, I was back in the back with a smokey illegal smile watching the concert; I'd climbed up a huge stack of chairs, I was wrecked; glad I grew out of that). Jim Seals was over at a friend's house when passing through our little town (local concert). Jim was just a regular guy as far as I was concerned; humble, believer in God ... y'know, just a regular good person, zero arrogance/pride, quality soul writ large. Some folk don't let fame go to their head, know-what-I-mean. I cherish that in people. If a person's soul is gold, this can be witnessed. God bless them and the good works they do! So help me God, I pray for them.
