    An 18th century bullet crossbow (this uses a lead bullet as a projectile instead of a bolt).
    An 18th century crossbow from the second quarter.
    A 17th century stone-bow crossbow. This weapon uses smooth pebbles or stones as ammunition.

    It is too bad the pictures aren't showing up. It sounds like an interesting find. I've been doing some research on modern crossbows, but seeing some from the heyday of the technology would be interesting.
