It does, presumably the implication is that healthy under 50 year olds will not get ill. Only a couple of weeks ago there was talk of vaccinating 6 months old babies so it seems something has changed even if it is just the affordability of the jabs.

 

There are several unquestionable tenets within the Woke religion: runaway thermal heating of the Earth due to CO2 emissions, the "vaccine works" thingy, open borders, white oppression, ...

I do not know how much the Born-Again Christian phenomenon caught-on across the Atlantic, but here in the States during the 1970s, this mass hysteria was very pronounced. Nothing wrong with being Christian, but I doubt that the Creator wishes to have any religion become an overwhelming obsession such that the lives of individuals are truncated. Religion should be a belief system -- "where do I stand in the greater universe(s)" -- not some psychological toxin.

This current hysteria -- born-again Woke folk -- to me is almost a carbon copy of the Jesus Freak hysteria. Look at the eyes of someone who has fallen into some hysteria. Their eyes are very wide open and their pupils are dilated. And they have a marked tendency to scream. Confront them in any way and it's like pouring alcohol onto an open wound -- BOOM, their emotions explode. You just stepped on their baby. You just pulled the heroin needle out of their arm.

When masses of people go illogical, to me this is a portent of an imminent stampede.

The American plains Indians would set fires to stampede buffalo off of cliffs. They then carved-up the dead buffalo for meat and hides.

A very interesting interview with Andrew Bridgen MP. Mr Bridgen was the MP who raised concerns about the efficacy and side effects of the Covid vaccine. Following his statement in the House of Commons he was suspended, albeit for something unrelated and then the "whip" was removed (for non UK readers that effectively means expulsion from the political of which they were a member, the term coming from a time when MP's were legally physically whipped to force them to vote in a certain way).

If what Mr Bridgen MP is saying is true, and it certainly sound sincere, this is a horrific health scandal that is being ignored/covered up by the UK government and UK health agencies.

Even if it didn't, and it certainly could have been the case (Wuhan is known for its bio labs, the Chinese suppressed the news for a considerable period etc) I feel sure that western governments turned the pandemic into something far more insidious than it needed to be.

 

I think the first lockdown, when the entire world was unable to predict how bad things might become was fair play. After that I believe it became a political lockdown and was used for financial and political gain. It is difficult however, in retrospect, and with what we now know about the efficacy of the virus and its subsequent less severe mutations to mindfully recreate the earlier situation and make objective criticism. The later lies, hypocrisy and BS coming out of many world governments, including that of the UK wholly undermined their lockdown policies.

 

It did, after the initial lockdown it seemed to me to be more about people control. It is, of course, easy to say that is retrospect but many other countries took a different approach and had no larger percentage of Covid casualties.

 

I feel sure it was. We were continually bombarded by horror stories about how people were dying etc.
I also take great exception to the Government having used the phrase "follow the science". There is not "one" science. I have environmental science qualifications and the key thing I learned from all the associated studying iss that if you put 11 scientists in a room 5 of them will disagree with the other 5 and the remaining 1 will sit on the fence. Science works by producing hypotheses and then subjecting those hypotheses to analysis and testing by many others, the role of whom is to disprove them. If sufficient scientists agree that then becomes a consensus. We were told continually that there was a consensus, actually, that was not true, insufficient time had elapsed for there to be sufficient analysis (remember were told to "follow the science" at the first briefing). Science moves slowly, it has to, proving disproving hypotheses requires careful replication and repetition of experiments. It all takes time but ,from moment one, we were continually told that "the science" (incidental there is no "one" science either) had all the answers, this did not allow for evolving theories etc. Put simply we were bombarded by BS by being that "the science" had all the answers, science never does, that is not how it works and the reason the scientific work is so fascinating. Maybe the UK Government thought we were all stupid? Surely not, a sensible, thoughtful, government that genuinely cares for its citizens would not behave in that manner, so I have no idea what they were thinking.

 

I do genuinely believe the initial worry was a not unreasonable response. But, like you, feel that later developments were an abuse of power.

This is interesting OG, very much a non-democratic move and to use the courts to enforce a lack of personal choice is illustrative of the gradual global creep towards the political right wing.

 

Yes and no, it is politically on the left, but is in reality using traditional right wing tactics to gain enforcement. That is the conundrum of wokeism, one is not being asked to consider going along with the idea, one is being forced. The ultimate illustration of that being, of course, Naziism, which as history has shown has a forced ideology and agenda.

A 22-year-old Army National Guard member has suffered an array of health issues—including two heart attacks that pushed her to the brink of death—after receiving two doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

Karolina Stancik once considered herself “very healthy,” playing multiple sports from adolescence through early adulthood. At 21 years old, she chose to serve the country by joining the U.S. Army in February 2021.

“We were told that it was going to be required and we should take it before we shipped out to basic training,” she said, which was before Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s August 2021 announcement of the military vaccine mandate.

This messaging, according to Stancik, made the new recruits feel like, “You’re a bad person if you don’t get the vaccine, and you don’t care about the people around you.”

Stancik ended up taking the Moderna vaccine in March and April 2021; since then, “life has been an uphill battle,” she said.

First, came the breathing issues.

“I was dealing with what doctors considered asthma at the time without a diagnosis, and I had never had any lung issues at any other point in my life,” she said.

Stancik also experienced what felt like a cold or sinus infection, pressure in her head, and dizziness.

Next came a fever, as well as numbness and tingling throughout her body. But she was told by a doctor that these symptoms were normal.

At one point, her command threatened to accuse her of insubordination for not participating in physical training. However, “a doctor’s order kept me from getting in trouble with my command,” she said. The Epoch Times viewed that order, as well as other medical documentation and Stancik’s Army permanent medical profile, to corroborate her claims.

Problems with visual processing and what she described as neurological issues began in October 2021. These included numbness, tingling, stabbing pains throughout her body, loss of motor function, tremors, and more.

“It all progressively got worse, and never stopped,” Stancik said.

In October 2021, she found herself in an emergency room, following her first heart attack. Things only escalated after that as she started experiencing nausea, a high heart rate, stabbing pains, and blacking out, she said. In February 2022, she had a second heart attack.

In addition to these two heart attacks, Stancik said she’s been diagnosed with severe asthma and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), a blood circulation disorder that causes a higher heart rate when transitioning from sitting or lying down to standing up.

In November 2022, her doctor told her she had “signs of a mini-stroke,” she said. After that incident and the onset of impaired eyesight, she was finally advised to see a neurologist. She’s now waiting for the results of tests for neuropathy, dysautonomia, lupus, multiple sclerosis, and others.

Stancik’s neurological problems have continued this year.

“As I wait for results about my neurological issues, I’m also experiencing increasing problems with my visual processing,” she said.

With health issues on the rise, she said, “Half together is put together for me right now.”
Medical Care Costs on the Rise

Meanwhile, TRICARE, the military medical system, is no longer paying her medical bills because the Army has removed her from active duty.

“The bills are stacking up,” she said. “I’m getting billed for everything that follows my active-duty service.”

There have been recurring costs of bloodwork analysis, doctor’s visits, and cardiology care, for example. She’s also being billed for neurology appointments.

“For cardiology, I was getting billed $225 for every single visit, so I had to stop going so often,” she said.

“Many soldiers were injured by the vaccine, and the Army just doesn’t care,” she said. “And because of this, I’m suppressing my anger to turn it into something positive to be a voice for them.”

I was discussing this very issue recently with a friend and he said we are very good at being peasants in the UK. We grumble but do not take action. I thought it was a fair point.

I understand may people of African descent declined the jab for religious reasons, mainly as it was spurned by African style churches.
