Drones are the future.

This is not the first test of medical supplies delivered by drone. The first was about 4 years ago in Norton, Wise County, Virginia, Appalachia area. This Wise county test was the first official FAA blessed test.

The issue is less about the technology - not doubt about drones - and more so as to who gets the big contracts.

 

Talking about contract, any idea which slithering of a company might bag the drone contract, be that as hardware vendor or solution vendor?

It would surely depend on the circumstances.

Rural areas have less support structure, eg medical clinics, than urban areas. An ice storm here has big cities' roads cleared faster than rural backwater roads.

A drone network would adjust responses to the circumstances. ...... in theory, at least.

Can't guess the company name but can say the original test in Appalachia Virginia was by an aero-engineering company from Nevada. The owner told me he actually lived in California.

The link I posted is about a Virginia Beach, Virginia company. Virginia Beach is ,in practical terms, run by the USN's retired Admirals.

Hardware and solutions, if both revenue-producing, will generate contracts. It's for emergency medical supplies ! This gets priority !
