    end times? no, TEOTWAWKI- maybe.
this virus is going to kill a lot more people as there is no vaccine or cure for it, a bit like Smallpox amongst the First Nations in the US, no immunity and it nearly wiped them out.

    Good morning Lonewolf,

True, but the non-medical, non-health care experts provided observations and solutions to minimize the mortality numbers. The solutions did not address vaccines and related pharma - although they are awaiting a welcome.

The elderly have weakened immune systems requiring the elimination of the old age homes. There are alternative arrangements. Jails and prisons can be reconfigured. The same changes can make military organizations safer from infections. The aircraft carrier might join the dreadnought battle ship in the history books.

Large, crowded schools must leave the scene.

Just read an article that the NYC subway/metro rail system is an incubator of infectious germs.

For adults and kids with neglected health: some of the non-Atlantic Alliance nations have already successfully dealt with this.

Soon, at some date on the calendar, there will be a vaccine/other pharma for COVID-19.

Soon, there will also be new infectious diseases.

Only recently before the Great War, some of the most dangerous disease-ridden cities in the world, like Manila, Batavia (later Djakarta) and Hong Kong were so desirable, fortunes were spent to move there.

The changes had less to do with baked bat on an English muffin or shark fin soup. Some political changes reallocated skilled personnel and funding elsewhere.

    ......

I am now in the mood for a Tiger beer and some toast with orange marmalade......and I've had beer for breakfast before.

some talk here of a partial lifting of the lockdown on May 11th with other liftings to follow, not confirmed by UK government but they are probably waiting for the PM's return next week to make the decision for them.
at some point industry and business has to restart or else we wont have an economy to come back to.
mind you I still think this is TEOTWAWKI but we will see.
