Glance at the first picture, an evac on a landing craft. Would you not want your kids to have the best appropriate hat/helmet you could afford ?! They are not expensive. Short sleeve shirts ?

Go through the pictures and mentally visualize you will be in the same setting in 3 days. Would you plan to arrive on a landing craft with torn jeans? I'm not interesting in discussing style and social life; just concerned about burn prevention.

There's a picture of a small group walking to a non shown rescue craft. One person is carrying a relatively good size "carry on" bag. Consider what type of bag would be best for you.
