    Wow! Here in the U.S. we are swinging between floods and flames. Out west of the Mississippi, pine forests require regular burnoffs to rid the forest floor of debris, plus it is these fires that invoke seedlings to sprout and the clear-off allows them sunlight to grow. If no fires occur for too long a period of time, the forest floor becomes a pack of strike-anywhere matches. Then when there is a fire, it becomes some unholy conflagration -- the fires get so hot that trees not only burn, they explode.

    Currently, California is flooding. Texas and => east of Texas are getting hellish thunderstorms and tornadoes.
