    If that is a Shetland pony it may not be totally a joke. those are about the meanest things that I have ever dealt with. I got my daughter a Welsh pony when she was little and it was as gentle as a lamb and about the calmest and most patient horse that I have dealt with. I would love to have another like her. She would have made a great pack animal and been able to pull a small cart.

    Dawn is no longer satisfied with the goats and chickens; she's been making noises about getting a pony or a donkey or at least a llama. Hopefully seeing this will help her change her mind!

    One of the reasons I have stayed away from any type of livestock is that I am quite certain that within 5 minutes of ownership my wife would give everyone a name and a personality. They would have their own pen with a blanket, and some type of heater. The cuter the animal the more permanent the attachment. Harvesting wouldn't even be considered.

    Don't know if Dawn is like that, Duncan, but be careful.
