For The Nav Safety Of Newcomers

    Good evening all,

    Open above link and article should be preceding one. As much as I'm an IT illiterate, I think it's the wmur site.

    Article tells of New Hampshire Fish and Game Department advising to use paper maps, handheld GPS and compass for navigation on the trails. Poor cell reception area and poor quality phone app caused problems with navigation.

    I'd also recommend these hikers retain the services of a professional guide.

    Dustoff rescues are paid for by the public taxpayers.

    ......

    Am placing this here because this is not advanced navigation by any means !
