Were FDR and Eleanor apprised of how large government has grown in the USA, both would be dumbfounded and then mightily angered. Their social programs were to have end-dates of something like three years, certainly not be perpetually inacted. FDR himself said that if someone were on assistance longer than three years, then this would be proof that the system had failed. Seems for today's collectivists, everything negative is a planetary catastrophe. At least they want it to be so that power can be transferred from the people to "their betters".

Pragmatist, I think your bullet #2 should go to the top. I've made this point so many times, yet I must say it again, If Iran is in any way enabled, that country will mightily increase its acquisition of nuclear armament.

Iran is getting its missile technology from North Korea. This enables Iran year by year to deliver payloads further and further. Israel cannot allow this to continue. A leftist chief executive in the former-USA will be pro-Palestinian and will seek a "peace deal" with Iran. For a Leftist serf, hearing the magic word "peace" is another drop of opium into the needle in their arm.

Israel will hit Iran. Israel will hit Iran with unimaginable force. This conflict will then grow wider and wider. Such events remind one of how "the war to end all wars" WWI began. WWII was NOT Earth's last world war. WWIII will determine the fate of our species.

The Leftists in America in the 1960s / early 70s, kept shackling our forces to the "peace table". Every time the bombings of North Vietnam ceased, the communists reinforced so as to continue its murder of the Vietnamese people of the South. The eternal folly of seeking peace with an aggressor results in the resurrection of death for a people.

There are two kinds of peace. Biden's way will be a surrender to those that push him whereas Trump's peace started with some form of "Don't even THINK about crossing me or I will crush you!".

The biggest reason that the US and most of the Western nations have been allowed to continue to exist is that those that truly rule the world have figured out that the flipside of slavery is the freedom to be stupid and to be ruled by being allowed to elect those that are totally unfit to make ANY important decisions. A large number of American Presidents were simply the middle or younger sons of a wealthy men. Since they were mostly too incompetent for any use in the company business they were financed to run for a position in our government.
