I think the situation here is going to get really grim and am doing what Ican to secure my family and neighbourhood.

I hope you're wrong in your predictions, but unfortunately I believe you're right.

Right now it seems like essentials is flying off the shelves. Let's hope they can keep being replenished!
But it seems like we're in for a roller coaster the coming weeks.

 

Do you live on a Swedish island that has / is a mountain, or do you consider your remote mountain an island of sorts?

Hope you don't live in a city. Some of Sweden's cities have swarms of savages moving in, thus the grenade and bomb attacks occurring after your country's opening of its borders. It is VERY unsafe for women to walk down the sidewalk in certain ghetto areas of Swedish cities, however you already know this. I just want to reinforce this in your mind. Stay FAR, FAR away from such places. You are now a member of our community. We care. You be safe! Never gamble with your safety.

Again, hope you are away from the cities and among civilized human beings. Speaking of which, I don't see Swedish folk panicking. The Swedish people are very intelligent and capable of great discipline.

As to "grim" conditions, what are your specific fears? Covid-19? Other? Please provide some specifics so that specific solutions, potential solutions, can be provided to you.

Covid-19 as far as pathology is concerned has its worst effects on the older population. People like me, old people, can end up in the hospital. People at your age, get bad flu symptoms along with a bad cough. Don't smoke. Males are hit harder than females.

Are you prepared to go more than a month without having to go to a store to buy supplies? If not, do so. Do you have people who can call you and check on you should you catch a virus? Remember this is the regular flu season also. More people are getting the regular flu than this covid-19. Governments and industry have been telling their folk to simply stay home -- this could happen to you. If this happens to you, curl-up and read those books you have been meaning to read. Sip on the soup you have stored in pantry for these times when cooped up at home. Get out the blankets and stay warm.

Me, I wouldn't put much faith in the Swedish government. Socialist governments purport to be "for the people", however what happens is that centralized government creates a spiritual sickness in a country. Individual "citizens" lose their sacred Liberty. Big governments turn people into serfs of the state.

The Swedish government is now going to stop reporting the number of covid-19 cases so that the sheeple will not be alarmed:

MountainIsland (M.island, I have to shorten your name somehow, call me OG or whatever), please also provide information about what is really going on in Sweden. This site is a place where valuable information can be provided to people preparing for hard times. Getting information from around the world is VERY valuable. Government offices are filled with career pathologic liars and thus one cannot get any truth out of them. Dear M.island, do let us know how things are going in your country and in your part of your country. You are a very valuable person to us.

Being a member of our community, know that your safety is a concern within our hearts. Blessings be upon you. Do not worry so much. You are going to get through all of this. You are stronger than that for which you give yourself credit. Smile, you have the courage, you live in a beautiful country, and you are still young (I wish I were back at the youthful age of 50 and that's a decade beyond where you are).
