I am spending most of my July 4th with velcro on my hind parts and my Lazy Boy recliner..also my remote controller velcroed to my hand.

The rest of the world can keep on going by ...

20m is wide open Chris, get DX'ing mate, I'm waiting for you yanks to come on air in the next couple of hours. On my own tonight so belly is full, bowl of nuts and an open bottle of Jura on the desk and I'm flicking between the net, ham radio and have Fear the walking Dead on in the background...simple things keep me happy these days but like you I'm doing sweet fffff all tonight.

 

I've slept the better part of the day. Getting caught up.

The kids around here blast a lot of fireworks and for hours on-end. Some of the fireworks have the earth-thudding reports of professional fireworks displays. This dog of the wifer's goes bat-sh## crazy when the fireworks are going off. She's putting that psycho-beast in its giant cage so it won't piss the floor tonight -- can't put it outside else it go berserk. It hears things going on in the next county, so maybe the fireworks hurt its hearing. I don't know, but the days surrounding the 4th sure aren't happy days for it ... or us, as concerns the canine-factor.

Along the same lines, WatcherChris. I am going to do some mechanical work this holiday. I am going to put a rear end in a recliner.

Thank you Max. I think most of us here will enjoy the holiday, and celebrate its meaning. Can't say the same for a lot of the woke culture.
