    Hello from south Louisiana. I just moved out in the country and am somewhat prepared for when the SHTF. I am ex-military and a two tour Vietnam veteran that is 72 years old and still have good health and condition. I am getting ready to retire and have made some preps. I own a Excalibur dehydrator and have purchased a years worth of food. I know how to grow a garden and can and preserve food. In my area, (about 3 square miles) there are 5 families. Most are preppers and farmers. We all know each other. I am glad to have found this site as I was a member on Backwoods home website. This is more of the topics that I like here than we had there. It is going away. I have lurked here a little while and there are some great people here as far as I can see. I want to thank all of you for your thoughts and advice. I look forward to contributing when I can.

    Bruh! Welcome to here! I was born and raised in the New Orleans/ Barataria/ Crown Point area...but transplanted to my BOL and homesick as any of us would be to leave South LA.
