    Sorry for using that confusing archaic Cold War misnomer, actually the more accurate classification would be developing third world country including the Philippines, Brazil, and India

    Good morning ma90O,

    I know a little about the Philippines.

    It was always considered part of the first world until recently when a possible realignment with the second world might occur.

    Until ~ 3 years ago, the Philippines hosted a major US organization: Asian Development Bank, Manila.
