The Prepper must think this out and prepare accordingly.

What is the best face mask for a GOOD ? for a local evacuation ? for providing emergency first aid to family member ? For the numerous situations ?

Article has a VOA / Pennsylvania Dept of Health matrix/chart on the various mask categories.

Note the N-95 entry. Is the N95 ONLY for health care workers ? Would an Emergency Responder rescue someone who might have COVID-19 or other contagious infection without wearing a N-95 ?

Time to do the thinking, planning, refining. There is no time to worry; just prep.

 

The notion of N-95 is only for health care worker seem to be coming from WHO, nearly every gov't in this region saying the same thing. Although I understand there is a serious shortage of all kind of PPE (which has nothing to do with any nation industrial capacity & capabilities), such narrative is dangerous and misleading the public on the risk of the plague.

The knowledgeable publics' quid pro quo is to discount as worthless the pronouncements of WHO and the echoing national governments.
