I thought that was a bit crazy, trying to rewrite history like they did with all the statue toppling, you cant rewrite history its already happened, you can ALTER it but thats a completely different thing.

Funnily enough I looked these figures up the other day to see, and you're right. It has the feel of a minority imposing upon a majority, except it isn't it's the media not the actual people.

I think the MSM have a lot to answer for at the moment. Only last week there was an anti-lockdown protest in London. There have been numerous protests before and this was looking likely to be the same (the won't comply/can't comply and "what have you got I'll protest about it" element) but following the Matt Hancock debacle this protest had a different feel. It was far less confrontational and esteems vary but the majority seem to agree on numbers approaching 1 million. Those I saw interviewed were just average folks angry that after 15 months of lockdowns the architect of those lockdowns had been found to be breaking them himself. It was certainly a shift in perspective.

The thing is, that there was barely a mention on the main stream media. The BBC ran it as a local story focused an protest about Palestine's treatment by Israel and giving an estimated head count of "a few thousand". This seems to confirm to me that the MSM (in particular the BBC) are now no longer giving a fair portrayal of events. One can then ask is "wokeness" as widespread as we are led to believe? Are societal problems worse due to the pandemic. Who knows? If the MSM will not tell the truth it is hard to know what that truth is.

Agree absolutely and accurate portrayal of history can be key to preventing re-occurrences.

The mantra of the Left is "Not my parents!"

Adolescents rebel against their parents ... and EVERYTHING that represents their parents. Evolutionarilty-speaking, this is a good thing. Eventually the child must leave the nest and this push-away behavior helps make that happen.

It is bad when the push-away behavior persists beyond the years of adolescence. Some adolescents/liberals are over age 50. University campuses are incubators of theories. They are places removed from the realities of the world. The world must go on functioning, however.

University professors are often people who never made it in the real world ... who couldn't make it in the real world. How does a professor make his/her name? By spouting common sense? Oh no! How could one justify a salary if all they did is repeat common sense?! They must come up with "different". Since many have never exited their adolescence, it is easy for university professors to spout, "Not my parents!" Witness how often professors put down institutions and all things appertaining to previous generations. "Progress is always good! Different is good!" Actually, common sense has a track record of keeping people alive.

Collectivism is a theory that has proved itself incompatible with human nature and has failed time after time. Actually, it has gotten tens of millions of people killed. Yet at college campuses, it is alive and well and even worshiped as some eternal deity of "Not my parents!"

Masses of people do not grow up, so masses of people go on dying.

People want to be led. People worship professors and dictators. Immature people, sheeple people, keep getting masses of people and their own selves killed. Welcome to the land of lemmings.

"Twitter Suspends Science Writer After He Posts Results Of Pfizer Clinical Test"

    https://jonathanturley.org/2021/07/...ter-he-posts-results-of-pfizer-clinical-test/

"Just yesterday, we discussed the censoring of a commentator by Twitter for merely expressing an opinion over the need for a 'pause' on any federal mandates on Covid-19 as new research is studied. Now, a former New York Times science reporter, Alex Berenson, has been suspended for simply citing the results from a clinical trial by Pfizer and raising questions over any vaccine mandate. In the meantime, the White House accused both the Washington Post and New York Times of irresponsible reporting on Covid, but surprisingly Twitter has not suspended those accounts. It is the license of the censor. Twitter is unwilling to let people read or discuss viewpoints that it disagrees with as a corporation. Many on the left, however, have embraced the concept of corporate speech and censorship. It turns out that the problem with censorship for many was the failure to censor views that they opposed. With the 'right' censors at work, the free speech concerns have been set aside."
