New Member It All Began Before Y2k

I've read members' introductions. Several of you are or were in the army or navy. Skilled and knowledgable. I'm none of those. I'm just an ordinary mom of seven children. But my survival instinct to feed, teach and train, and protect my children have strengthened me over the years. We are a homeschooling family. We left the city and moved to a 4 hectares land in the country in October 1999. During that time, we heard and read about Y2K. We quietly prepared ourselves, little children (4 at the time) and conceiving with fifth child when we left the city. We bought an affordable house on the land where there is are rain water tanks, gas bottles, and trees to cut for firewood for winter.

We were quite self-suffcient. I want to learn more from this Survival Forum community.
