New Member Just Another Texas Man

Hello. You may or may not recognize my name from one of the other boards. If not, my name is Robert and I live in/around the Houston area. I have two properties out of the city that I visit often. One property is in state, and one out of state. I was raised in the country and pretty much learned survival at a very young age. My father was one of "those types" that wanted his children to be self sufficient. I know survival techniques and have a wealth of knowledge in homesteading. Jack of all trades in life... master at none.

I am for the most part a conservative, but I do keep an open mind on some subjects. I see the world through jade-colored glasses, so my pessimistic self wants to be prepared for what I think is inevitable. I raised my children as I was raised... to be prepared.

I am always thankful for new knowledge and am honored at sharing mine to like-minded people. Thanks for having me...

I had to take a look at your profile to see if we already knew each other , but I think the guy I have in mind is a little younger than you but still can not rule out that we know each other .

 

Howdy from the Sam Houston National Forest. I'm somewhat north of Houston.

 

Does a wildcat in a cave mean anything to you ? Or a human skeleton in another nearby cave ?I can't remember who all was there but if you are who I think you may be , we opened up a jar of shine at your Ozark retreat .

I've actually considered a life in Alaska. I would love it there... I'm a bear and this Texas heat makes me ornary. No, that's just my personality... but still.
